Daisy Rose Coffee House in County Durham

Our first time visiting here and what a perfect little cafe! Great selection of choice. We had toasties, blondies and a peach Melba and all absolutely delicious! Very generous mug of coffee too! A really friendly and bustling atmosphere with very polite and friendly staff! Clean and welcoming with a great touch of decor and style. Thank you for a lovely service!

Full english breakfast: bacon was so thin it was see through smoked and not cooked fresh. Lowest quality bacon ive seen in a while. Hash browns were soggy not cooked fresh. The yoaks of the Poached eggs were completely solid. Nothing apart from the toast had been cooked fresh. Sausages were nice but overall the breakfast was dissappointing. Was not offered any sauces or asked how we found the food. 'Bowl full of pancakes' was infact 2 small pancakes (8cm across if that) with 2 chopped up strawberry's and some Nutella. For 7.95. Rip off £35 Inc drinks. Never again.

Amazing Cafe! Upon entering the cafe was full and whilst finding a table a lovely staff member seated us together in some armchairs until a table was available. I’m gluten intolerant and asked her if they catered for me and was delightfully surprised to hear that all items on the menu could be catered for GF! I had a full English breakfast which was good quality produce and yummy, the toast provided with it was also nice bloomer style bread! My son had a tuna melt toastie and thoroughly enjoyed that too! The atmosphere was super friendly, constantly full tables (which I think says it for its self), the service was impeccable and I can honestly say we will be definitely visiting again if in the area. Oh and whilst leaving couldn’t resist taking out a yummy looking cake to have later on!

Stopped here for a late breakfast, and really glad we did! Stumbled across by accident. I had the avocado toast and my boyfriend had the full English breakfast, plus a coffee each. All came quickly and absolutely delicious! Super friendly staff and a lovely, positive atmosphere - you could tell there are many regulars. We also took two cakes away to enjoy on the journey. Thank you for a great breakfast - I hope we can visit again!

Called I while house hunting. A big bonus, buying a house near by, knowing that Daisy Rose will be within walking distance. Delicious food and really friendly atmosphere

We were looking for somewhere for food coffee and a nice breakfast, we definitely found both of those things at Daisy Rose, coffee was lush breakfast was also very good. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be going here again

We don’t often get to go but when we do we are never disappointed. Yummy cakes devoured!! Look at the proportions of toffee/chocolate/biscuit!!!!! Sooooo yummy!!!

Just finished my amazing 'August special' mushrooms on toast breakfast! My wife had the eggs benedict. We loved the atmosphere with ladies having breakfast, families eating together and workmen popping in to collect a coffee. It's just so 'local' and lovely with a team who really care.

Came here today with my colleagues for our break, amazing staff and very friendly. Best cafe I’ve been to in a while. Would recommend 15/10!!

I visit this place regularly. It is a real home from home, where everyone is made to feel welcome. The food is lovely and I prefer their coffee over anyone else’s. They have some really special cakes too and often change those each week so you can try something different each time.

Such a cute cafe & amazing food. I had the poached eggs & I always get nervous ordering eggs, I don’t like them runny at all but they did them perfectly jammy. Will definitely be going back.

What an absolutely amazing coffee house and an amazing buffet, 100% would tell anyone and everyone to always go and pay them a visit and get them to do your buffets! The staff are so warming and inviting always, they never forget a face and are fantastic with kids!

By far THE best breakfast ever! Everything was cooked to perfection and couldn’t fault anything! The staff are so warm and friendly and you feel so comfortable when you’re there. Everyone who walks in is so friendly and you really do feel like your one big family there. I love this cafe :)

Called in today for the first time and will definitely be coming back . The place is a lot bigger inside than it looks . The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The management who looked after us were so funny I loved it . The place was packed we were lucky to get a seat . Thankyou .

Just back from lunch, coffee and cake. I also own a local coffee shop but like to have a look out and try other places. I’ve been following Daisy Rose for ages and was looking forward to trying their delicious food. Lovely experience, amazing friendly staff, fast service, great food. The place was busy and welcoming and full of regulars that the staff all chatted too. Will def be back 😊

Lovely little coffee house!! Very clean and well presented. Been several times now and it never disappoints! The cake selection it fabulous and the ones we have had tasted divine!! Food menu is just as fabulous plenty things to choose from and all made from fresh! The staff are so accommodating and genuinely friendly nothing is a bother!! To top it off their dog 🐶 friendly too !!!

I found the atmosphere to be very cold and passive-aggressive, and I felt very lonely when I went in as well as the food being over priced, I feel very scared

Yummy food & treats and the owners are just the most gorgeous people. A beautiful meeting place for community too . My mum loves to drop in for a cappacino and appreciate so much, the wonderful job Caroline & the staff do in creating such a beautiful meeting place with heaps of delicious food options. I’m a regular at Daisy Rose and can’t recommend it enough. The team are always friendly and make you feel welcome and the food is always delicious. The only problem with Daisy Rose is deciding what to eat when everything is so good! We’re lucky to have such a great place on our door-step. Thank you to Caroline and the team x

All food is homemade and the cinnamon bun I just had was the best ever. Portion size is huge so be prepared. Staff are friendly and helpful just cannot rate this establishment anything other than first class.

We came here last week, and we were very impressed! The americano coffees were nice and strong, the roast stottie of the day (turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce) was sooo delicious (and filling, we ordered one to share between us two), the cherry Bakewell cookie cake was beautiful, and the chocolate brownie was delightful! Service was fast, the staff were friendly and the ambience was nice and relaxing (even when busy), felt very homely. We'll definitely be coming back, would recommend 100%!

Excellent value and fantastic all round

If you want delicious homemade fresh food, served by the most attentive friendly staff then this is the place to go. This coffee house feels like a home from home, a great place to unwind with the best coffee I've ever tasted outside of Italy. The food options are fantastic, and they cater brilliantly for all, particularly great for vegan options - carrot cake, fruit flapjacks and breakfast bap, 'sausage' rolls. Child and dog friendly, they have thought of it all to make a lunch drop in so enjoyable.

I love that this place is always buzzing. They really pay attention to the ingredients and flavour which shines through as real attention to detail. Warm and friendly at all times.

Spectacular café in the middle of Belmont. Great staff, easy parking and lovely food - what's not to like? Pro tip 1: it can be busy and so you might have to wait a little bit for any cooked food so get a drink and chill. Pro tip 2: Rockamel Slice.

Fabulous little coffee shop. Nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful salads, excellent cakes that you just can’t resist. Coffee is excellent and service is outstanding. Such a friendly little place.

Popped in for a coffee for myself and the Mrs. Service was fantastic and the toffee apple latte i got is the mutts nuts. Would definately recommend to all, was also informed the cakes are banging mate and can't be beaten.
