Really tasty meal with great service.

This is without doubt my favourite Indian restaurant in the local area. The restaurant manager is very friendly (think they call him Ash) and nothing is too much trouble. Food is very tasteful and I would highly recommend this place for an Indian meal.

The service was first class from Ash the dish he recommended was lamb special which was amazing this place is always worth visiting and has a nice atmosphere.

Best Indian takeaway I’ve ever used

One of the best curries I have had in a long time. Food was cooked to perfection!

Delivery was 1 hour. We are only about 1 Mile away. And then it was still slightly late too.

No better indian food anywhere than here.

Group of 7 came without a booking on a Thursday evening. Compact seating area got rearranged to accommodate us. Poppadoms with sauces followed by Mixed kebab starter The main was Chicken garlic and chilli with 2 tandoori rotis. Bottled water on the table as drinks. Around £30 per head. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent. The service was very good on top.

I have eaten here several times over the last 6 months and every visit has been GREAT!!! The guys are super friendly, the service super and the food is really wonderful. They are not licenced for alcohol but there is a Tescos only 70 metres away and they sell cold beer and wines. The food is perhaps the best Indian I have ever tasted in the UK and the value for money is also excellent, I paid 45 pounds for 2 of us last visit (Feb 2024). GREAT food and folks and value.

I do not recommend the Tabdoro platter for two, it came with chicken lamb and fish, the whole thing had a disgusting taste had to spit out! However the Reza was really nice but the whole thing arrived an hour late so was very cold

I went to daawat with high hopes of eating high quality Asian cuisine. I was absolutely blown away by how delicious everything was! The service was great too and the staff were all very kind. They also had free parking which was very convenient for us. Overall me and my family really enjoyed our time there and I would definitely recommend eating at daawat, it’s an amazing place!

The best Indian meal ever I arrived in Knowle on business so not familiar with the area. I literally stumbled across Daawat India & Beyond and immediately felt welcome. The owner Abdul S was very pleasant and attentive, made sure i was happy with the table setting. The owner struck up a conversation with me leading to him asking me what i usually order and would i be open to trying his secret dish which i gladly accepted. Simple Poppadom and chutney tray for starter and the unknown chicken dish along with boiled rice and chapati and it was delicious. The presentation was first class I asked how i would order this back home in Manchester but he wasn't divulging :-) its a shame i live 100 miles away as this restaurant would be my go to place for Indian cuisine. I will be returning next time i am in town Its also BYO which is a bonus, Rated and recommended LK

Difficult to find fault with this place, you get great service and food that all liked in our party with a nice atmosphere for a Tuesday night. As they are not licensed you can take in whatever you like to drink with glasses and ice provided and this keeps the cost down. Toilets were clean and modern.Takeaway service is quick and efficient too.

We were looking for a good Indian restaurant and were walking by this one to go to a nearby one, but luckily we stopped by Daawat restaurant and decided to give it a try! The moment we got in, the manager and the waitress welcomed us and were very friendly and kind to us. We loved the food, it was spectacular and absolutely delicious. They also gave our kids juice for free which was a nice gesture. Overall an amazing place and experience and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Brimingham. Lastly, special thanks to the manager Shaheen who took good care of us from the moment we entered until we left.

Portion sizes very large despite reviews - and arrived piping hot but Didn’t enjoy the curry we ordered - just wasn’t up to scratch or our standards - unfortunately - first and last time

This is the second time i’ve ordered. Food tastes good, but portions were incredibly small. For a king prawn dish that costs £17.95, it only had 7 pieces of small prawns in it. 3/4 of the box was just curry sauce. Would definitely not be getting any seafood dishes again.

Not as good as my last visit which was after lockdown ended we had a few takeaway during that period though. Maybe because of the change in management. My favourite giant prawn dish is more expensive, though forgiven due to inflation, but certainly not as good as before. Served in different shape dish. The prawns were 2 x U5 giant prawns then but now I get 4x much smaller prawns perhaps U8-12.! The taste still good but somehow the magic has gone and not as busy as before the pandemic.

Went on a quiet night with friends, bring your own alcohol but they do sell soft drinks. Friendly service and couldn't fault the food, tasty and plentiful. I had lamb tikka starter and chicken pathia as main and both delicious

Very very late. I was at hotel and left mobile for driver. Eventually found out food was left at reception for 40mins and was cold. No calls before despite me calling them 3 times. No apologies for being late. Large portions but cold and super salty, thin cut chicken seemed cheap.

5 stars! This has been my go to place for the most authentic and flavourful Indian cuisine since arriving here in the UK. What you see in the picture is the Rezela King Prawns in the most flavourful and deeply spiced sauce. With a side of lentils and fried garlic. Let’s face it. UK is known for its Indian, and there are many great places here, but Daawat really sets the bar, and it’s the place to go to if you’re in West Midlands. Brilliant!!!

Food was lovely and hot. But no salad with chicken tikka tandoori, other restaurants usually add this in for free. In addition, the lime pickle that we paid for was extremely small in portion size.

shame the pastry on the samosa was so thick, unlike the ones I get from sparkhill which have a lovely thin crispy pastry and lovely spicy lamb and veggie filling.

Ordered at 7:15 food arrives at 9:15. 2 hour wait is shocking for a takeaway which the. Turns up been half decent as it’s been rushed as we rang up.

The food is always amazing and tonight was no exception, however the Keema nan was a plain nan and the cheese nan had very little cheese in it. The rest of the food was the best in the area as always.

Regular now to this restaurant and I can’t fault it in any way. Ordered some food for a delivery and for some reason when looking at my order it said collection ( probably my fault 🤦‍♂️ ) so living in Shirley and after a few vodkas I was unable to collect so I called the restaurant to explain. The man on the phone was so helpful and understanding that he arranged for our food to be delivered as he had a driver at the restaurant. Big thumbs up to Dawatt, thank you.
