Daarna in Woking

Great food, lovely atmosphere, attentive staff. The whitebait starter was delicious but the Lamb Tagine was the real star, it was full of flavour with large pieces of succulent meat and lots of other fabulous ingredients. We will return.

What a great place to eat, first time trying Lebanese food and it didn’t disappoint. Food superb and well cooked, staff are very attentive and always with a smile. Will definitely be there again thank you for amazing service.

I came here with a coterie of my relatives last month, and the the host and service staff were all lovely. We ordered quite a lot of food, and even then the servings were generous, and it was all a pleasure to eat. Even all these weeks later I'm still thinking about the place. Hopefully we'll return if I am ever in the area.

Excellent service, friendly and informative. Comfortable seating. Food was very tasty, with the flavours complementing each other. Perfect portion size. Unusual to mention rice but Caramelised onion and saffron were definite winners. Kafta skewers and Sea Bass cooked to perfection, with hot maze selection to start. If only we lived closer!

We’ve been here a few times, and enjoyed it every time. The lentil soup is particularly great, as is the hummus. What really makes the place special though, is the manager and the staff. The manager goes well out of his way to be warm, friendly, and welcoming. The staff do the same. We went for my wife’s birthday, and once they heard it was her birthday not only did they decorate our table, they sang an elaborate song, played festive music, and gave us A delightful dessert.

We went for a pre-theatre dinner. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the food was excellent, lovely savoury flavours & generous but not over-large portions. Thoroughly recommended

This was the 1st time Lebanese experience for some of the party of 4, they managed to eat and try everything that was dished up, They catered for the vegetarian in the party. A large group of us came here on Saturday night to celebrate a friends birthday. Wonderful experience from start to finish - the staff were welcoming, patient & attentive all evening. The manager looked after us extremely well, advised on the menu, explained each dish as it arrived, kept on top of our multiple drinks orders! He also made sure that those with dietary requirements were catered for & explained what was in each dish. We opted for sharing platters/ mezze, there were so many dishes, and every single one was delicious. There were too many to remember but the hummus, baba ganouj, falafel, tabboule, halloumi, mousakaa, chicken wings, soujouk & rice were outstanding. Others said the seabass, salmon, chicken, lamb & chips were also excellent. We will be back very soon!

Yday I went for a quick lunch and the food was really yummy specially the chilli sauce and wraps . I loved the way they gave free pudding at the end .This place now allows alcohol too which is good for celebrations . I had a good experience and quick service as well .

My wife and I lunched at this restaurant 10. 03. 2024. It has just been refurbished at considerable expense thus providing a very positive atmosphere. We were welcomed and were quickly presented with excellent food and wine With the bill of £70.00 they gave us a delightful fruit platter. I would recommend to anyone whatever the occasion.

Empty restaurant for a pre-panto meal. Great service and environment. Not a wide ranging menu but the food that came was delicious. Toilet blower in the gents wasn't powerful enough. Didn't seem to be an option for alcohol, fair enough, not a necessity. Houmous and lamb tagine were so so nice, just delicious flavours. Well done and thank you. Reasonable prices too for the food. Drinks a bit pricey tbh. Would deffo recommend a visit rather than the bog standard Pizza Express next door.

The food was ok, not great, but we might have gone back to try other options in the menu. Service was good and prompt, but the service charge (12%) at the end was unexpected and we are not going back to pay hidden charges like that. Food was expensive enough to have covered for the service and we were a small group of 3 .

We were a large group celebrating a special birthday midweek. Prearranged the menu and restaurant was very accommodating. Excellent service from 2 young ladies. Plenty of delicious food for all, including vegetarians. Would highly recommend.

Delicious Moroccan food with lots of choice. BYOB makes it a cheaper night out too, as does free parking right outside from 6pm. Lovely friendly staff who looked after us. We’ll be back. Highly Recommend

The traditional Moroccan tagine dishes taste amazing and the waiters are helpful and polite. Also, the chicken livers were perfect.

I came to Daarna with great expectations following a great first visit. The restaurant was v quiet for a Friday night. We were greeted by an extremely friendly and attentive waitress who quickly showed us to our table and offered us water and bread. I love the bread dipping it in the sauce and eating it. However from a food perspective what followed was in our opinion below par which is a real shame. The calamari looked and tasted like something you find on a all inclusive holiday chucked out of the freezer into the fryer. My mate had the soujouk which he said “something different and the highlight of my evening” We followed with mains my significant other who usually finds himself with a mutton madras in front of him on a Friday opted for the lamb. He wished he had, had the madras this time. He gave the dish a 6/10. Overall the restaurant provides good value and is BYOB and okay food. We maybe just opted for the wrong dishes

Tried the mezze, really delicious, authentic food in a welcoming atmosphere. Recommend moussaka, falafel and fava beans. Flat breads served with it, was generous in quantity and great accompaniment to the mezze. Service was great, friendly and attentive staff. Alcohol can be taken and pay small amount for corkage.

Made an order through Deliveroo to eat at home whilst working. When the order was received realized that a few items where missing. Literally one third of the order (and ordered for 3 people). Called the restaurant, the person who picked the phone told me that I should drive there and pick the missing items. Told him that was not possible, I'm not that close, but also was working and didn't have time. Told him that he should arrange an alternative delivery. He said that he was working, busy, had no time for this and hung up the phone !!!!!!!. I called again, explained him that he didn't deliver items I paid for, and he should take responsibility. Again, same response, that he was busy and had no time for this. I had to explain him that I was a client and he needed to offer me a solution. Suggested him to call an Uber and send it to my home with the missing items. He said that he was not going do it, was not going to pay for it. He said, that I wanted my items delivered I should manage to arrange a collection. He said (before hanging up again) that my items were there and if I wanted them, I should drive to the restaurant and collect. In short, a complete disgrace. Mistakes happen, but key is how are being handled, and this time was an absolute disaster. I reported the restaurant to Deliveroo, and asked them take actions. The restaurant needs to realize that there are plenty of options in Woking and that with this attitude only thing they will do is to lose clients. By the way....the wraps we ordered, were below average at best. Never, ever again.
