Stopped in Tenby 18th Sept. With out a doubt THE WORST over priced fish and chips ever!! Soggy, under cooked chips, (oil not hot enough!) with heaps black eyes and bad sections in potato. Cod was wafer thin, tasteless and still with skin on (lazy preperation!). Went into sit down area and was bellowed at "only using front tables and chairs". Two med serves cod/chips + 2 small beers £39.00!! Dont know why or what you got awards for - but you should give them back!! Disgusted.

£22 for large cod and chips, battered sausage, peas, curry sauce and a can of pop. Super expensive and not worth it at all. Nice chips but worst fish I think I have ever had. Thin skin on fish and soggy sloppy batter. Did not enjoy this experience. Plenty of other fish and chip shops so try somewhere else!

Hate to say it but genuinely the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. The chips were soggy and undercooked. The batter on the fish wasn’t crispy, it was just gunge underneath. The service inside the chip shop was ok, order/pay and wait outside. Not sure if this is a regular thing with takeaway here but nearly £30 we spent, got around the corner to sit and eat, in the end it went in the bin. I don’t think you would need to worry about the seagulls stealing it. Maybe sitting in is a nicer experience.

The service was good. The staff were polite and friendly. Was disappointed with the selection of fish on the menu, they only do cod, for a seaside fish and chip shop you would expect a full range fish to be on offer. They did offer a good selection of drinks, both soft and alcoholic. It was nice to be able to sit and eat in, however it was basis deco etc.

Thinnest cod I’ve ever had with a yellowy batter and a strong oil flavour dominating the modest ‘regular’ sized fish. Chips were cooked through but extremely pale in colour and only just warm despite the place being rushed off their feet with people congregating outside for takeaway orders. The mushy peas were authentically homemade however they could have been so much better with more seasoning added during the cooking process. I could not say there was anything award winning about the food or the experience, despite the marketing, although the server was personable enough.

We have a day trip to Tenby every summer when we’re down West, specifically to have Fecci’s fish and chips to eat sat on a bench, looking out over the sea. Today was this year’s trip and we were gutted, opened them up, no salt and vinegar, soggy white chips and wet, soggy batter on delicious fish, such a shame, would have waited much longer for the usual standard. I know it gets busy but we were happy to wait ☹️

Visited with family on a weekday. Service was pretty fast all considering, and friendly. However, the food and seating areas left a little to be desired. Fish was wonderful, but the chips were not particularly crispy; all condiments were provided in sachets. Despite us being sat down inside, food was brought in the same paper cartons as for takeaway, with the same wooden cutlery (that was tricky to use for the fish); the seating area also had an unpleasant vinegar smell. The restaurant is conveniently located, and there are lots of menu items available. Overall enjoyable, but perhaps not worth the rather high price point of this well-known place.

I haven't been to Tenby for about 10 years and was so looking forward to having chips from here as in the past they have been fantastic. This time however I was very dissapointed, the fish was tiny and had very little taste and was quite greasy and the batter was very thin with no crunch to it. Really disappointing. We had take away, however it was unwrapped and eaten within 2-3 minutes. The chips could not be separated from each other as they were a soggy mess. Flecks of black over the chips, I’m unsure what this was. The fish was very small and placed under the chips weirdly, this made the fish soggy too. The inside of the batter was like a paste. Spent £31 which is very disheartening when the quality is so poor. States ‘award winning’ on the front of the shop, the standards must have slipped significantly

Not sure what's happened to this establishment? Served our food in paper trays, tea in cardboard cups and wooden cutlery? Such a shame, always used to go here when the kids were small and the quality was reflected in the price, so all fair. Sadly no where near the levels we expected with what we were served. Fish was thin and still skinned, suggested frozen. The chips were better but when the total for 2 of us was over £25 thats just not good enough. I have visited twice this week! I so much wanted to give this place a 5 star rating which if I was reflecting from just my first visit it would have been a 5 star rating. Our first time was a dining in visit, food was amazing, best chips I’ve had for a long time. Staff are very friendly. Second visit: this was for a take away and a return because of how much we enjoyed the last visit. Unfortunately this didn’t go so well.. ordered two portions of sausage, chips and curry and another without the curry. After walking away to find somewhere to sit we found the curry had been missed. The chips were soggy so a complete disappointment really. When spending £19 for 3 portions of sausage and chips I expect them to be good and exactly what I had ordered as normally I would only pay less than £12 at other places for the same order. So my three star review is an average between my 2 visits.

It was between this one and another on the corner opposite, and we went with this one. Underwhelmed is what I will say about this award winning chippy. £12.50 for a regular fish and chips, the fish was paper thin, and I have had better in my local weatherspoons. this is supposed to be tenbys “5 star chippy” but in my opinion is quite possibly one of the worst. we went to end our trip before we went home and for starters had a “vegan chicken curry” which was £7.50, it was rice and frozen vegetables floating in curry sauce and tasted disgusting. the fish and chips was in a small portion, and cost me £10! it is so overhyped and did not live up to the standers. they also overcharged me by almost £5 which i realised when i got home and checked my bank statements. it is over priced and over hyped, do not go!

This maybe sacrilegious to some, as this place has been well thought of for ever, but here’s my personal take. The service was quick and the fish was tasty but it was battered with the skin on. I don’t enjoy that. I like my fish skinless. The chips were also tasty but just tiny pieces. This may be down to the type of potato being used? The other major thing that detracted from the enjoyment was that despite eating in the restaurant, I was served the food in a cardboard basket with wooden knife and fork. I get it for take away - plastic is bad and wood is biodegradable, but in the restaurant, use metal cutlery and ceramic plates, please. Oh, and that brown stuff in the photo, is mushy peas and the condiments are all in sachets. So no, sorry, I wouldn’t return and I don’t recommend this chippy. Unless you like your fish with skin on.

Food was lovely but I found it expensive for what it was. The staff are friendly but unprofessional for a restaurant. We heard the man swearing and also singing loudly which is not what you want to hear whilst eating. There was plenty of condiments and drink options. The place was very clean.

I don't usually write reviews however felt the need to. Have been here twice before (annual visit to Tenby) both times fish n chips were lovely. This time not the same!! Chips were ok. Fish was small with lots of hard batter as if been standing!! Very disappointing. Ordered 3 so over £30......won't go again.

Had an excellent pie, chips and gravy. I’ve only given 4 stars as they didn’t have haddock on the menu. People working there are fun characters. I’d definitely go again.

Overcharged for children's meals should have cost £25.50 actually paid £35.00 after waiting 50 mins for our drinks, I asked for refund food orders had not even been passed to the kitchen , realised later they had only refunded the correct price for the children's meals leaving me out of pocket to the tune of £9.50 trading standards to be informed shortly, based on my own experience I would not recommend this establishment, it looks lovely but completely fails to deliver

Unfortunately we ordered from the wrong seven spice by mistake. Our korma was way to sweet, tikka wasn't enjoyable and the bombay chips were awful. Also more expensive than the other one. Will make sure to check where we're ordering from next time.
