Curry On The Corner in North Ayrshire

Fab food, not too expensive, good attentive service and plenty of parking. We went with friends, were able to sit as long as we wanted and didn't feel hassled in any way even though it was a busy Saturday night when we were there. It's obviously a popular place, and we'll definitely be back.

I have been here on many occasions and cannot fault this place at all. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, great portions, great value for money. It is beautifully decorated too. The menu is fab and very authentic. I would definitely recommend.

Party of 18 for a 60th birthday. The staff couldn't cope despite us being the only people in there. Service was appalling, rude staff and food naff. Would have walked out had it not been a family occasion. Never again!

An excellent night. We had booked for 11 for my son’s big birthday and they really didn’t disappoint. A great atmosphere, great food and drink, the staff were very helpful and the toilets were clean. The venue is of a good size and there is great car parking available. Yes, I’m definitely going to return to this venue.

I went with a party of 40 people.. the food was excellent and the staff very friendly. I will definitely be there again.

Service from start to finish was great. catered well for our party including our toddler. Drinks were always there, food wasn't a bad wait, even though they were a few people in. Lamb chops were slightly over cooked but I suppose that could be personal preference, mains butter Masala and Chilli garlic chicken were on point. Tandoori chapati was perfect, light and crisp. Cost wise? Prices are similar to other similar places, in my opinion you get what you you pay for. Overall a very good place to dine. Will visit again when in the area.

Being a regular I booked curry on the corner to take my 2 daughters and family out for a lovely hogmanay meal. Unfortunately when it got to the main course this was not to be my daughter was served up a grill plate of chicken which was very under cooked and raw and cold in the middle! She was offered a freshly cooked meal but declined as was now very unsure as she is pregnant and did not want to chance it again! when I went over to pay I pointed out I had been overcharged for various items which he removed along with my daughters meal price, we still had to pay the rice and nan bread she ordered with it. I mentioned again about the uncooked chicken and was told !'THESE THINGS HAPPEN'! No im sorry these things do not and should not happen A very rude man this was after that who then walked away what an awful experience to a festive meal and end of year

We have been wanting to try this Indian for a while now, so we ordered a takeaway for collection. We arrived at the time arranged but everything seemed a little unorganised and there was some confusion as they had wrote our name down wrong. We ordered kormas, which were very nice, lots of sauce and meat in them and good sized portions but the rest of the portion sizes weren't very big. The pakora only had 10 TINY pieces in it and was meant to be a large portion. There was no poppadoms/spiced onions included and the peshwari naan was very strange, it had some sort of cherry jam on it. The food was quite tasty but definitely not worth the price of nearly £60. We have had better elsewhere.

It was OK but certainly not the best indian food we've ever had, we ordered a takeaway for the first time, the place was so disorganised, they had wrote our name wrong to start with, the large pakora was tiny, we received no poppadoms or spiced onions, the peshwari nan had some sort of cherry jam on it, it was quite strange, the rice and currys were a good size and tastied nice enough but certainly not worth the price tag!

This is pretty local for us, we have eaten here a few times and used the take out a lot. The app works really well, This time we went for the lunch time deal, the portions were still massive and really good, the garlic nan is as always amazing, the tandoori prawn is a dish not to be missed, we fine the service good.

The lunch menu three course lunch for £9.95 between 12.00-3pm sit in . Was really good . I enjoyed every course and plenty to eat on each course . That much I had to leave some of the main course. I would recomend Curry on the Corner for lunch.

Delicious meal, great service. Best curry I've had in quite a while. Really fun interiors with leaves on the walls, fun music and good lighting. I didn't have vegan meals but all of one section of classic dishes could be made vegan. Pretty impressive.

Great place. Have been getting takeaways for a while, now regularly dine in. Tandoori lamb chops are the best, you get about seven chops per serving, utterly delicious. Good selection of Indian beer.

Ordered a take out through Just Eat and was quite astonished and disgusted by the quality of food delivered to us. Not as ordered on the menu, overcooked and rock hard so unable to eat without requiring dental work! We eat in the restaurant regularly but after this take out meal we will NEVER be back !!!

Ordered a take away from here. Had high expectations. We spent almost £80 between us all and tasted several items. Will start with the most minor, the chips. Chips are chips that's fine but the cheapest bog standard thin frozen french fries. The pilau rice was a bit dry and starchy. The south Indian garlic chilli sauce had no flavour just far too much chilli. Overpowered with chillis. The chicken tikka in the south Indian was a bit tough and there was only a few pieces of it. The halloumi in the other one was really soggy. Garlic naan bread was fine, just an average naan. The Pakora sauce and kebab sauce dip things that came with the Pakora didn't taste like they usually do anywhere else and were oddly just over powered with chilli. The veg paratha - not sure where the veg bit came in to it, was pretty much just a bit of bread. The other paratha that is described as having minced beef in it just had something inside it which just looked like a big slice of salami but didn't taste like anything. Certainly wasn't minced beef Veg Pakora soggy Chicken Pakora extremely tough Vegetable delight burger just a standard frozen veggie burger The other burger which was described as cooked with Indian herbs and spices had no flavour and was really dry and the burgers were paper thin. There were three slices so that's fine. The actual bread bun came in three layers. The top two layers were the top puffy part of a burger bun. So like it had two of the rounded top parts . Far too much bread to get through to the thin slices of meat and there was a small bit of melted cheese only on the top layer. The onion rings were soaked in grease. The food was cold on arrival There was a fault in every part of this meal and for the price you charge it was a bit of a joke

I attended tonight as part of a particularly large party. The team of three serving staff were attentive and efficient, especially considering our party was almost 45 strong and they had other large parties and smaller tables to consider. All served with a smile and ensured they served everyone as quickly as they could. Any errors, SMALL errors, were rectified almost instantly. The food was amazing and anything we wanted to take away with us was packed up. A great meal and experience. Those girls are an absolute asset 👍

The only thing that lets it down is the chicken pakora. Tough as old boots. Main dishes are lovely.

sorry to say but our carry out food was very disappointing last night, tarka daal arrived watery and floating in oil...chapati and paratha over cooked and like a crisp..this is a first for us and won't put us off , but perhaps a different chef? will try again

Overpriced and my takeaway meal had hair in it thankfully hand not really started eating it. Also asked for a nan plain given garlic. Waste of £20

chicken on the square is great. chicken saggy made me turn in to tyson fury, fat but strong.

Came for lunch recently and thought I was getting a lunchtime bargain priced at only £9.95 for three courses, however not all is what it seems there is little choice from the lunch menu to pick from but you can chose to pay extra for a dish of your choice obviously all the most popular ones of course! The rice is an added extra the chips the Nan the Popadoms… so your getting a curry for a main no rice nothing so that £9.95 quickly doubled if not tripled for us by the end of it! Shame as the food was okay nothing special but was okay.The kitchen staff were extremely loud and it was extremely off putting a lot of the waitresses were carrying on too it didn’t seem a very professional workplace whatsoever which wasn’t reassuring as a paying customer. I certainly wouldn’t return in a hurry there’s ALOT of hidden costs. There’s a lot of other restaurants nearby that is way better value and true to price.

I come here regularly and food is amazing and the service is always outstanding , was in here today and the 2 girls who were working where amazing service was on point absolutely no faults .

It was pretty busy for my birthday tea, and service was a little slow as a result. The food however was excellent, as always, and that's why we choose to go there.

I ordered take away was delivered really quick , with a little message on my food wishing me a happy birthday, it made me smile as I had asked for madras hot food as I 'need a little spice in my life for my birthday'... Thank you Curry on the Corner we really enjoyed our meal , fantastic !

Greeting as we went in wasn't great.An issue with getting items into a delivery bag seemed more important as the young female asked her other colleague to "show them to their table" Had to move as the high backed wooden chairs were sore on the back.So we moved. Chicken chasni had 6 small bits of chicken it.Not great. Main issue was the hospitality from the two young females.Could be greatly improved.

I really like this place. Inside it’s nice, spacious and a good atmosphere. Kingfisher beer is chilled to perfection. Service is good and friendly. The tandoori are the best dishes I think as you can order ANY curry sauce with them, which comes in a separate service dish. I find this generous. Breads are always well prepared. Sometimes the pilau rice is a little too oily. But overall I really like what they’re doing here. The menu works and they do everything well. Recommended.

New waiting staff really poor and one in particular quite rude and shoutng across restaurant to her friends who were working to. Never heard gulag jamun referred to as gulab baws before Naz does an awesome job but if the staff remain as poor as they were the other night I'd find it hard to go back as the atmosphere was ruined by the childish actions of thr new staff

Was really good the 1st time 2nd time not to so good ordereds were wrong and the Tennents Lager had a really disgusting smell and taste . Won't be back was really ill the next day even though I only had a wee bit of the pint.

Came here today at lunchtime and got the £9.95p three course lunch (only on to 2.45 pm) the food is “okay” defy nothing to shout about. The menu (lunch) was extremely basic and not alot of choices to pick from that was included in the lunchtime deal which I think is purposely done to make you pay extra for another option. No rice or chips are included in the price either so again another extra cost. I definitely wouldn’t rush back there’s a lot better Indian restaurants nearby! Staff also seem to want to just sit around and talk and the kitchen staff are EXTREMELY loud while you attempt to eat your food just seems a lot of carrying on with staff and totally unprofessional in a restaurant setting!!

We are regular customers at Curry on the Corner and always enjoy the food. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable and has the benefit of a car park at the rear. The staff are always welcoming and attentive. We shared a Chickpea Desi Punjabi Poori starter and it was delicious. My wife ordered a Lamb Punjabi Masala. The aromatic lamb was melt in your mouth tender. Not too spicy, but so good we took home a takeaway portion for the freezer. My mixed grill was a generous portion of Tandoori specialties. Highly recommend.

Good! Enjoyed our meal. Wasn’t the greatest Indian food I’ve ever had, but it was still a solid meal. It’s the experience that was the let down here. Asked that the Saag I ordered be “very hot”, but it came out medium hot at best. they got our order wrong and just gave us the same meal when we ordered different stuff. Server didn’t know anything about the menu or Indian food in general, so wasn’t able to help us with our questions. Decor is nicely put together, but rather cheap. The pop Music in the background was a little loud.

The food is amazing ordered the deal for 4 as thought we could have a buffet in the house (it's a nice night and can't be bothered to cook 😊) wow all the curries were amazing my son loved the chips something that normally isn't eaten in this house 😊 but they had a nice spice to them, there is enough left over for lunch and dinner tomorrow 😊 my new favourite takeaway first time everyone in the house agrees 🤣will save me money on delivery going to just the one takeaway 🤣

Visited here tonight for my 4 wedding anniversary meal it was our first time eating in the place, the decor is stylish and modern. The staff are helpful and friendly the food was quick to arrive and all tasted very nice, the cocktails were absolutely delicious!! And very well prepared and presented (which is lovely to see!) my only complaint was the heat inside the restaurant itself was extremely warm! And it was a quiet Wednesday night so couldn’t blame the amount of people inside. It got a bit unbearable at times. I think a lot of people get the lunch menu as it’s ALOT cheaper than the dinner menu we were almost £70 in total for our meals tonight. I’d return but probably only at lunch.

Food was delicious, service wasn't the fastest but it was unexpectedly very busy according to waitress. Very very smokey in the restaurant it could have done with the back door being left open or something to air the place

Service was terrible felt as though they could not be bothered with us ,one of our party didn't get their main meal and had to wait until we were half way into our meals and I thought the bill was a bit much for what we had. Me personally I won't be back.

Arrive for table for 2 stood in reception for a good 10 mins before seated , got a table and anther 2 parties of 3 arrived after us , we got our drinks order and waited almost 25 mins and no food order takin other 2 parties that arrived after us had been served and one was eating there started we still didn't have our order takin , when I approached the girl serving today she told me while still walking I will be there in a min and drew her eyes off me at this point I said to my mum let's go were leaving as the girl walk to another table to clear there plates who arrived just before us they were finished there full meal discusting way to treat customers we will most definitely not be back or recommend to anyone

The food was excellent. I had a chicken korma, mild and fruity, full of flavour. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Portions were a little smaller, in keeping with the lunchtime menu. Still struggled to finish the food on my plate. Really good value at £9.99 for 3 courses. Service was a little slow at one point, but the staff were generally polite and efficient. The one thing that puts me off is the closeness of the tables. It's a little claustrophobic for my liking.

Absolutely terrible poor scampi portion with just french fries nothing more, mum had a lamb shank it was baked she couldn't eat it, she said it too tough also when she said to the man, he said it was just fat. Shocking payed the full amount for something she did not eat.

First time in Curry on Corner. Really enjoyed our meal. Starter, main course with tea or ice cream for £9.99. Excellent, not huge courses but for me just nice. South Indian garlic chilli chicken with punjabi chili chips, this was off the main menu but fantastic. I had sizzling chicken tikka and pilau rice which was lovely.

Had a lovely lunch here on Hogmany. The food was delicious, and the service was great. We will definitely be back for more.

Not cheap. Pakora platters don’t have much on them and curries don’t have much meat…. I’d rather make my own curries for a fraction of the price.

We opted for the £9.95 set lunch what a bargain pakora to start chicken tikka main Ice cream to finish 2 glasses of merlo 250ml the bill for the two of us came to £32. What's not to like also the food was delicious and pleanty of it will be back soon.

Went for lunch, first visit here and will be the last. Cold plates, asked for curry sauce to be extra hot which was not chicken pakora was not freshly made, looks like it came from a wholesalers already made up, rubbery it was Waited over 30 minutes for 2 coffees after asking twice for them and when they arrived they were like hot milk. It wasn't busy only 4 tables so no excusesPoor service 🙄 not a patch on Motherland.

Highly Recommend Excellent food and service with car park at rear. Have eaten here 3 times before and have never been disappointed. Nice dining experience as the restaurant is spacious and even when busy doesn't seem crowded or noisy. The staff are very welcoming and the food is delicious. This time we tried the vegetable samosas which are packed full of flavour. All our food was excellent.

Our first visit to Curry on the Corner and what an excellent experience. As one of the older generation, it took me back to when tandooris were tandooris. Simple, delicious food that hasn't been modernised for modernisation' sake. The tandoori fanatics, tandoori restaurant, in fact! That's not to say that the younger generation won't enjoy their offerings. This is a restaurant that will please everyone. The staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Management are equally as interested in your experience too. Overall, a wonderful dining venue with top class, unpretentious food at sensible prices!

Went for our Anniversary on Saturday and I have say this was the best curry I have had in many years. Service was outstanding, particularly Naz who went the extra mile to make it a pleasant evening. Would definitely recommend to everyone to try.

Place was nice but disappointed with the starter wasn't much on the plate but was nice . The main course was good and I like the way the nann bread was cut easier to eat . Staff I felt were nice but we're standing staring quite a lot . Great car parking as there is a large carpark at the rear of the restaurant yes I would return

Wanted to leave aTrip Adviser review although could not find. As such will leave it brief. Really so pleased to see somebody had taken over the Coran after all this time. Talked to the owner and mentioned the same. Food nice (not the most adventerous) although service excellent and really buzzing. Will continue to be a hit as not much else around. Will certainly revisit.
