Curry King in Newham

Worse Indian food I have tasted. The rice was sweet and had chunks of coconut sugar inside. The curries were not edible.

I found a piece of "meat" in my Vegetarian meal!!!!!!!! F**KING OUTRAGEOUS!!!! Never will I order again from this poor excuse for a restaurant. The website forces me to select at least one star before leaving this feedback, but if I had my way, I would be taking 'stars' away rather than awarding them.....

Food was amazing, really tasty and great portions. Food arrived early and the was piping hot. Very happy!

All of the food had some kind of tandoori sauce on including the keema naan? Never have i had a naan with tandoori inside it wasnt too pleasnt

The food was very very average. The masala was not properly cooked and the gravy was watery. The chicken pieces were just floating in the watery gravy and oil. The food did not taste good at all.

Brilliant customer service for one and food tastes really good if you’re really in decisive as to what to it, go for it. Truss me ;)

Once again excellent food. The achari chicken is amazing and I could eat the tikka masala sauce for days. Delivery is nearly always early and the food is scorching hot. Our go to Indian for every single time now. Love these guys.

The food was really nice, packaged well, with great portion sizes and I was happy because even though the food took a bit longer than expected, it was really hot on arrival and the restaurant was very apologetic, they even gave us some complimentary items. Will defo order again because food was yummy

Everything was great specially delivery driver, not too many friendly delivery drivers in uk, which is makes already great restaurant. Just one thing, was expecting a bit different taste on food, but in general all good.

Food was mediocre Ordered lamb madras, king prawn vindaloo, 2 pilau rice / keema naan and chicken tandoori starter, cauliflower Bhaji. Both madras and vindaloo were in the same sauce, literally no difference (apart from a couple quarters of potato in the vindaloo). Meat content in both main dishes was minimal, a few extremely small pieces of lamb and maybe 3 king prawns chopped up small to stretch? To be honest, felt cheated- mostly gravy and nothing much else Tandoori chicken- ok. Keema naan - nice and fresh, about the best thing in the total order. Spent over 37 quid and that was discounted using a voucher code - still not worth the money paid Wont order again

Food is usually fantastic not today. Food came cold and sauce seemingly watered down. It wasn’t as flavourful and colour looked off. Was shocked at how disappointing the meal. I’m usually very excited to order from here.

Very happy with the service from the Curry King. The food was delivered piping hot and early. Was very tasty and the free poppadum was appreciated. Just what I needed stuck in a hotel in lockdown while working away. They even called me to make sure I was happy. Excellent.

Nice and fast delivery. One of staff actually called me to make sure I enjoyed my food!! Cracking service. Great food. Only criticism is it was slightly watery but can’t be beaten for taste. Chicken tikka bits were cooked perfectly and the rice was exquisit. And the garlic naan? Don’t get me started in that. Should be called carlsburg naan because carlsurg do the best everything. Chips were a super compliment to a cracking meal. Top marks!

Food very bland. Korma, rice and mint sauce were quite watery and the paneer tikka was incredibly dry with not much taste. Poppadoms chewy. Pretty disappointing!

king prawn puri had only 4 small prawns and 2 tbsp of sauce so was quite dry. Definitely not worth the money. lamb dansak had a very strong lemon taste which was overpowering. Quite disappointed have ordered before and has always been good.

Prawn saag - loads of prawns and a hint of chilli which kept it interesting. The saag aloo was gorgeous - soft potatoes and loads of flavour. The garlic naan is very large! Chicken tikka mossala has the best sauce. Pilau rice perfect. Thank you!

No malgastes tu dinero. Esta es solo la segunda comida de mi vida que no ha sido comestible. Pedí un arroz Korma y pilau de verduras. El arroz pilau no tenía ningún sabor, solo sabía a hervido y hubiera pensado que lo era si no hubiera sido por las especificaciones del arroz de color rojo y verde. ¡El Korma era repugnante! ! No entiendo cómo alguien puede cobrar por esta basura, deberían sentirse avergonzados por venderla. No tenía sabor a coco, solo sabía a mantequilla con algunos trozos de lo que parecía una papa vieja. Tomó un bocado y lo escupió en la papelera. Mi compañero tenía Lamb Krahi y sabía a salsa de tomate con algo de especias. Evitar evitar evitar!

I’m not a fussy eater and I don’t leave reviews. However I simply had to share my experience of the meal-for-1 combo which I ordered as it offered variety. My options included a poppadom, chicken pakora, 1 nan, 1 pilau rice, 1 spinach paneer, 1 butter chicken. Literally everything bordered on inedible because it was poorly made and lacked intensity of flavour and taste. The truly great flavours of a good curry were missing. It felt like the same red tikka chicken was thrown into both the pakora and the butter chicken. The curry’s has not been properly cooked to let the flavours and spices develop. The menu at the restaurant is extensive and that should have been my cue to know that this equates to nothing being well made. This typically means a poorly made curry base being thrown over different dishes. The chicken pakora was a piece of chicken tikka covered in batter that hadn’t been fully cooked. Just a lot of soggy batter. I have made better at home. The spinach paneer was watery. The rice was not a pilau in my understanding of the dish. It was a bland white rice with some colours thrown in. The naan I ordered was garlic naan and instead was given a sweet Peshwari naan, which I normally love but again this was stodgy and not well made. I was deeply disappointed as I feel they probably cater to a non asian market and they are doing a deep disservice to asian cuisine by providing sub par food. Otherwise the service, delivery was fine. I really hope they work on improving their food quality.

Very tasty prawn saag, onion baji, chicken tikka masala & plain poppadoms. We shared a garlic naan, as they’re large and my fiancé tried the tikka paneer, which he really enjoyed. We like the onion salad and raita accompaniment.
