Went back to curry hut felling to try food after finding Saji’s on Sunderland Rd which is lovely BUT oh my goodness me!!! was fantastic food amazing.,. Starters brilliant onion barjji amazing with salad mixed kabab with salad 2 Main meals chips Rice and Nan all for £22 Would definitely recommend this place gone from 3* to 5* definitely be back….

The Banquet meal is good value for money with an excellent choice of dishes which were well cooked and arrived piping hot. I highly recommend this 5* indian takeaway for their quality food and great service. Thank you

We ordered a crazy amount of food as we had a big family get together and the food was made quickly, the service we received in store when collecting was so lovely! The food was delicious and we would definitely return soon!

Haven't had an Indian meal in ages while i like hot my hubby not so much We asked the advice of the staff who picked a bhuna for us We picked the bhajis rice and naan ourselves Bhajis were lovely and crispy just how we like them and the bhuna was gorgeous with plenty of prawns We shared a main meal and there was loads a great size portion for less than £20 Will definitely return

I order garlic keema Nan, banquet deal and their much box the taste quality and quantity was awesome, food was fresh. Will become their regular customer now 🤩 much try their munchie box

Fabulous meal deals. We've just had a happy family meal deal for 4. Each dish was flavoursome and delicious. We all ate our fill and still loads left over. Highly recommended.

I dont normally don't use this takeaway I am a man of routine, but as my usual was closed, I opted to give "Curry Hut". I got a chicken Vindaloo, mutton Rogan Josh, Tikka Rice, Salt and Pepper Chips, mix kebab starter and Bombay Aloo. This was by far, they best curry I have ate in a long time. My wife laughed when I said I needed to call them and say thank you. Credit where credit is due. Portion size was perfect, Ingredients Cooker Perfect. Meat was so Tender. Delivery was on time. This will be my new place to go. Very Good 👍🏼

We had Rajastani Lamb chops - fiery hot but nice, mottar panir very nice, and a plain nan. We also had Chicken Korma - very nice, and Prawn Shashlick also good. They may have changed hands, as dishes are a bit different than before but still good, and we will use them again

Was good food but now not good value for money

Guys its Delicious and mouthwatering(can see pics) i would suggest if you wanna eat pure Desi and English with & without Spicy definitely CURRY HUT. Loovely Staff who gives instant Discounts , pair of Pappadams and I Love chef when i said two people gonna eat with one Curry portion he put more gravy and more pieces and tastes WOW🥰

Staff were friendly, unfortunately food was totally disappointing and pricey! Really thick Saag sauce(an over abundance of spinach) 6 bite size chunks of chewy lamb,lots of onions and egg fried rice that should be described as egg omlette rice but the Onion Bahjis !!!! they were deep fried to death and served with the runniest mint sauce ever 😲 This establishment really needs to employ a better chef if it is to remain open.I for 1 will not be returning.

I've been in a few times since this was taken over by the new management. Each time it has been delicious 😋 Staff are friendly and will cook the food to your taste, if you let them know. I like the Bombay Aloo potatos but they are a little too spicy for me so I asked for these to be mild....they were spot on and very tasty! The curries are lovely too. The banquet meal deal is great and reasonably priced. Give it a try. I will defo be back. Thanks Lindsay

I love an Indian meal..and this place just gets better..the dips are absolutely lovely .you can taste the garlic..the chutney is beautiful..I will never go anywhere else for an Indians .well done to the chef 👍👍👍

Ordered4 meals absolutely disgusting tasted nothing like they should off went straight in the bin tried ringing them back to complain but was engaged I would say it’s the worst tasting Indian’s I have ever tasted

Ordered a chicken tandoori in the restaurant and they served chicken and beef together. When I took the package to return he didn't even apologize and just took the chicken out of the beef and served me again. I don't eat beef which is my religious belief and he didn't even hesitate to say we don't take it back so I left the parcel with him without even getting my money back. He will never run a good business. Worst attitude. I know he will be expecting my review. Literally I wanted to give zero star particularly for a man who served me. Hey man you are a big zero!

Food - ok, although popodoms were soggy. Service - poor. Ordered a collection - when I turned up at the shop the food wasn’t there as they’d delivered it and charged me for delivery!. No apology or refund offered.

Food cold on arrival. First time we’ve been, I’d possibly collect a meal as it wasn’t terrible tasting but definitely wouldn’t get another delivery!

Curry beautiful , but never in my life have I been served wit rise with long onions in. Not a few the whole rice was onions. I like onions but I did not like this and my kids refused to eat it. Kids refused to eat the lot ( total was the of money ) I rang the shop just to let them know it didn’t work but they said all was based with onions so if your kids don’t like onions - do not order I love onions but I’d still not order. Massive onions in my rice is a big NO from me , DISAPPOINTED

The king prawn dupiaza was very bland…..lacked any taste….even salt. Chips and rice were cold.

Absolutely lovely. But the portion sizes are outrageous!!! Tiny, Tiny portions. Spent £28 and I was speechless at the quantity of food!! About 10 Chips in the munch box. And they tried to make it look bigger by putting the curry sauce in the container right in the middle of the box. I will not be ordering again

We have been going to Curry Hut for years sadly today will be the last. Banquet meal was our go to meal but this was not only cold but the least amount of food received. Glad we had air fryer to reheat all of it, we only live 10 mins from the Curry hut but all food was cold. Chips were half a bag and 4 very small onion bajis. Not worth the money anymore.

Ordered the Banquet Meal - mixed kebab, chicken tikka madras, bombay aloo, nut pilau and keema nann..... thing of dreams! Food was beautiful. Keep up the good work

Never really been one for Indian food but I fancied something different tonight and ordered the banquet meal, ordered the prawn cocktail for starter, lamb Bhuna, Bombay aloo and tikka pilau rice and everything was absolutely amazing! Order came within 40 minutes red hot aswell! I will 100% be ordering again soon

Opted for a meal deal which seemed good value for money, however it was luke warm when it arrived and slightly bland.

This is a good take away curry house. The food is great, staff are friendly and the service is reasonably quick. Our local for sure.

As long time customers - which should tell you we've been very happy with the food from Curry Hut - we felt the need to say that over the last few months the quality of the food (and therefore the enjoyment) has been, shall we say, inconsistent. We are fairly consistent in what we order, i.e. tend to choose between maybe 3 or 4 dishes from the menu, but the same dish can be as expected (in terms of spiciness / hotness) one week and then mouth-blisteringly spicy hot the next week. We also tend to order chicken curries, but even the quality of the chicken seems to have diminished We probably wouldn't have bothered to review Curry Hut; just not ordered from there again, but after last night's disaster, we thought other customers might be interested... I ordered chicken methi - a dish I've had before - and literally couldn't eat it as it tasted sour (I guess that describes it). My husband ordered the spicy nan kebab as he'd ordered it the previous night and really enjoyed it, but he said it was like eating a completely different meal (there's that inconsistency again). Because we've enjoyed meals from Curry Hut for such a long time, we've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but no one has money to throw away on food they can't eat or food they don't enjoy, so we'll be giving this takeaway a miss from now on.

Got a banquet meal for one delivered .....food was excellent as usual delivered in 35 mins driver wasvery polite cant fault it will continue using great value for money

Excellent quality food, I have shopped here for many years. Staff very pleasant. However if your collecting arrive earlier than they tell you to avoid your meal being cold. Quoted 40 mins but when I arrived it had clearly been sitting around for half that time. That aside it’s the Best Indian cuisine in Gateshead.

We've had many meals from here and always found them to be consistently good. We've never had to wait longer than 45 minutes for delivery. The staff answering the phone have always been polite.

Would leave half a star or zero if I could. Guy who answered phone was very rude when I rang up a second time and says he's delivered to this location before! Used to bring my custom here alot but no longer. I will be informing friends and family to boycott this place too cos his attitude was absolutely disgusting!

Ordered my food at 5.40pm still has nit arrived it's now 7.25pm always been a nice place to est from but nearly 2 hours is bad customer service.once again waited over an hour for ower food told driver had been out ages then when I told them if it's cold it shall be sent back which he replies I am not the one complaining such an attitude and delivery times are getting ridiculous

Sad to say i was very disaponted with my meal from the curry hut tonight, i have dined out in many first class restaurants, so i do appreciate good food, the curry hut has allways been my favourite saturday night take away, tonight i was told my meal would arrive in 1 hour, it arrived over an hour and a half later, the vegetable corma was luke warm, the nan bread was cold, it was still tasty, but disapointing that it had to be rehheated, i think this might be down to the fact they might not have enough delivery drivers on i will order again from the curry hut and hope its a one off, but i will not recomend it (like have many times in the past) untill i know its back on track

Used to be a brilliant Take Away stopped using it now, 3 occassions asked for a Dansak with less heat to get the curry home and find the Chef must have put double the amount, very disappointed with the place now, not using it anymore will rather have chips and fish

Love the tandori chicken starter have to have it every night especially at 2.50 a pop.
