We always order from Curry Cottage and it's usually great. Tonight however they missed several items from our order (3 sauces and 4 poppadoms) and delivery was pretty slow. Hopefully it's just a blip as the food is still delicious

Meal turnt up late and have eaten meal and now have very severe chest pains due to the food and can’t work because of it so there for I’m losing out on a days money

The system had displayed the order as delivered although it was not true. So could not chase the order

The food was fantastic. Really well priced, we have just moved to London and were pleasantly surprised by the reasonableness of this restaurant. We got a free side of Bombay potatoes which were divine. Food was hot when it reached us and delivery in less than an hour. Highly recommend!

We always buy from them. But this time chicken in madras was horrible hard. Over cooked. Normal lovely. Don't know if they had a different chief. But really put us off.

Too much sauce and not enough meat in the curries

Every time we order food in our address the delivery guy has problems finding us. I’ve told them there is a parking bay they can stop for a couple of minutes. They don’t seem to understand. Also, I’ve called twice the restaurant and the same person seemed annoyed I called and on the 2nd time hang up the phone very quickly dismissing me. Very bad service!

I ordered a lamb tikka masala but they sent me a vegetable curry disgraceful

The delivery was very late and when I called the restaurant he proceeded to argue with me. The food is of a very low quality With very little ingredients Is my starter head 4 pieces of lamb smaller than your thumb Needless to say I will not be ordering again

Food was inedible. The okra had tough stringy bits. The panner was so sweet, like a pudding and not a side dish.

The chicken in the curry was very chewy can tell not made from scratch

Food wasn’t good tikka was burnt and dry and meat samosas were overcooked. was hoping that it was worth the long delivery wait but wasn’t. Was first time ordering won’t b again. Was even missing poppadums and mango chutney.

Today's selection wasn't as tasty as usual and took longer to arrive than normal. Hopefully next time it will be as tasty as it usually is.

Waited 1.5 hours for food. The wrong order. One free popadom on a 20pound order. Pathetic. Highly recommend you avoid this place.

Lived in beckenham for years and rarely visited this one. On my way home from a long trip and they were the only local restaurant that said they’d stay open to make me a meal. Just a simple order of rice and curry. It was ready and hot and hit the mark. Staff delightful. Recommend .

Was cold and was missing a couple of things

Menu needs to be more discriptive about what is in each dish. Whether something is dry or in sauce

TL;DR - AVOID !!!!! Ordered from this restaurant for the first time and (after tasting) the last time. Ordered : Vegetable Vindaloo - Absolutely terrible. The whole curry was soaked in oil and chilly powder. It was so bad that we could actually feel the powder in our mouth. Paneer Makhani - It was so coconuty and extra sweet that we actually ended up feeling nauseous. Had to throw the rest of the curry away. Naan - Too thick and uncooked at the edges. There was not a single item that we could eat and appreciate. Pretty sure after eating half cooked naan, chilly powder cooked in oil and melted sugar in coconut gravy our life expectancy must have taken a toll.

The food was very poor the chips were greasy and the curry had no taste the only thing I could taste was saffron in the curry

Really late, ordered at 5.30pm was wanting to eat early to get my son into bed, no chance - apparently hopefully 7.10pm it might come - won’t be ordering again Good rating for service as they said they accepted my order - but couldn’t deliver it. Food quality - cold!

Dishes generally tasty but meat (lamb & chicken) was dry

The tarka dal was too salty, the gobi was slightly overcooked, the saag bahji was average but possibly the best dish we received. The rice seemed to be reheated and dry. We had ordered Curry Cottage before and the food wasn't very nice. Didn't leave a review back then. We usually order elsewhere but wanted to give it another go.

4 cubes of meat in the lamb tikka ?!!! Too much coconut in the korma really bitty and not made with love. Sag aloo was terrible! Really disappointed

Chicken was tough, sauce was bland and onion and peppers were under cooked. But the rice and bread was good. It came on time but i unfortunately won't be a customer again.

Uncooked minced, over salted both dishes, this was not the kind of takeaway it was. Ordered a Recommended dish got a generic version. VERY disappointed experience.

Superb food and lovely delivery

The lamb is meant to be soft so that you're able to separate it with your fingers but I had to use a knife and put in force to cut it. The meat was clearly not cooked properly or was leftover as it did not taste good at all and wasn't cooked properly either

Only issue was that the curry was described as hot but it wasn't as hot as usual (hot spicy). Aside from that all was good.
