Simply shocking in all ways, so sorry this local fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway has stooped so low. Either put some passion into what you do......or move on and whilst it's still a salvageable business let it on to people with passion and providing the town with a reputable fish/chip shop/ Chinese, there is a very successful business waiting to be taken over.

Our Chinese meal was ready within 4 minutes- automatic red flag. Chips were leftovers from previous day and clearly used in a microwave. Minimal portion sizes for a large price. Would not recommend… I feel sorry for my toilet.

We order food from here about once a month. The best Chinese for miles. The salt and pepper chips are the best chips I’ve ever tasted.

I order food from here several times a year and have never had a bad meal, generally we order quite a broad selection. Always tasty food and prepared promptly, always with a smile. Crystal and her team do a great job and I would not consider using another Chinese in the area, we are lucky to have such a good Chinese Takeaway in our area.

The Crystal Palace doesn’t look very promising from the street; but it’s a decent enough Chinese takeaway. Service was a bit slow, but friendly and the food was good. Worth trying if you don’t fancy cooking

Tucked into the corner on Sheep Street and easy to dismiss upon appearance, ' Crystal Palace' was a lovely experience when we visited for a takeaway after recommendations. The menu is well-advertised inside with an opportunity to easily pick one up (with an off-side for fish and chips at the front). Admittedly one thing which does limit the business and experience is having to pay cash-only; not bad per say if you already know about this, but a hassle if you don't ( especially as there are limited opportunities to withdraw money in Chipping Campden). However it is surprisingly comforting to wait a little longer when you walk in as the food has always arrived warm and fresh. Our recent meal experience was positive; the food had the right amount of flavour without tasting too salty or synthetic, and overall was a reasonable amount for an evening meal treat.

We wanted a simple solution for dinner after travelling around and this fit the bill. We are pretty much stuck in our ways when it comes to a Chinese takeaway and ordered the same as we would at home. We called ahead and stated a time we wanted to pick up. Food was freshly prepared and hot (not standing around to steam in containers). The Kung Po Prawns, plain noodles & chilli beef were all delicious. We were not disappointed!

I had the Special House Curry which was just some curry powder, chicken, prawns and onions - not so special. The Singapore Fried Rice was as dry as a bone. Extra charges for the chopsticks made my Chinese wife feel small. “The worst Chinese meal I’ve ever had!” She said. They are very quick however and amazingly made our three meals within 10 minutes.

Ordered food from the Crystal Place twice while staying in Chipping Campden You need to place a telephone order when arriving at the takeaway which is then brought to the main gate and payment taken CASH ONLY The first meal was Fish N' Chips and was well cooked and promptly bought to the front gate. Based on this, we ordered from the Chinese menu next and this was equally good and again promptly delivered to the front gate

Great place for some comfort food. Had the salt and chilli chicken, which was as good if not better than at home (Manchester). Fried rice and bbq sauce was delicious. Could say the seaweed needed a bit more salt but I ate it all so it was still good enough. They made me a sweet corn soup as well without the chicken, loved it.

Surprisingly for a chines takeaway, the fish and chips is as good as you will get in many a chippy. The Chinese dishes are good enough and in line with the prices offered. In other words a good value take away in a pricey town. The take away only accepts cash which is surprising in this day and age but reflects the unsophisticated nature of the business.

Since the restaurant has been taken over it is much improved. The food is good and is now realistic competition takeaway option for Khushi.
