I visited Seaham for the first time today, we chose to eat at the Crows nest and I'm glad we did. The food was great and the service was fantastic. A really friendly bunch of staff. Especially Zena who looked after us all well. It was also dog friendly and has sports on TV, a pool table and darts board. Great pub. I will definitely visit again.

Special mention to all the staff, the new staff member Darren and Xena especially, always friendly and attentive.

Absolutely fantastic! This brilliant family pub offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with incredibly helpful staff. They host wonderful community events throughout the year at an affordable price, which is especially appreciated during these challenging times. It’s truly a treasure to Seaham. The highlight was Santa Claus—he was amazing! He really engaged with the children, making the experience magical and memorable for everyone. A perfect place for families to gather and create special moments together.

We visited for Mother’s Day treat for my wife and my mother in law treat, kids came along as well, it’s a year since we have been and been using for the last 10 years, I have to say I was very disappointed and let down! Positioned in a booth none of us could get in, in front of a singer, yes that’s right a singer on Sunday lunch, we were unable to hear each other so no point in speaking, food !!!!!! Kids had burger and curry both on but portions were minute and we had to feed them again when we got home, I had large Sunday lunch, or paid for large got small and had to remind staff, just warm and Yorkshire puds like rubber, my wife had steak pie with 10 chips and not much gravy, mother in law had fish and chips, tasted like you get from freezer not much looked home made, £100 spent left early so would have been more, great location if your sitting outside for a beer I’m local but would definitely not recommend the food, good if your on a diet!!!!!

We had booked here as a party of 8 for a family birthday. The table was ready and had birthday banners up. Good selection of drinks and food. The food arrived quickly and was hot and tasty. We had a mix of pizzas, ultimate chicken platters and extra sides and everything was good. What makes this place 5* is the staff and the service they provide. All the staff but especially the manager?? (I think) went out of their way to make the evening special. Thank you.

I had chicken and bacon salad . It was disgusting lettuce was brown tomato's where soft and mushy . I just couldn't not eat it .

Lovely staff, great food and so welcoming to your canine companion to. They even do a doggy menu! Will be going back when we next go sea glass hunting.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food

First visit to this establishment after eating at other restaurants in the same group We went for Sunday lunch and we were very disappointed with the food .the roast lunch was at best tepid and the veg provided was truly overcooked We should have sent the meal back but chose not to.compared to other Marstons restaurants the quality of the main meals would only score a 4 out of ten On the bright side the staff that were serving were polite efficient and happy .

We had a great meal here a couple of days ago. Business meeting locally we needed somewhere to have an evening meal. The Food was great and the selection of drinks even better with a nice warm atmosphere. The staff were brilliant and the service nice and quick. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Good service, food was served hot, drinks OK. Used the voucher. Good value, staff really friendly. Improved since last visit. Only one small fault, advertised as 12 Scampi, only got 11.

Great atmosphere, Nicola was amazing and really friendly made our evening incredibly enjoyable. Food was delicious and they had a great drinks selection.

As always this is an honest review firstly I have not commented on the food for two reasons we are both vegan and the menu is very limited in that area and also it is very expensive, and this is my main issue with this establishment we called in on Saturday and it was fairly busy and we were served promptly with a warm welcome which is always the case here but this is not the issue the huge issue I have is with the price I ordered a large glass of Malbec and a 330 ml bottle of beck’s zero alcohol which came to an eye watering &13.85 that is absolute daylight robbery for standard drinks it is not as if they were anything flash, we left and went to weatherspoons which was absolutely rammed full and ordered two large glasses of merlot and two bottles of becks blue zero alcohol which came to &9.85 which is &4 cheaper for double the drinks I hope the management and owners read this review you should hang your heads in shame as you are clearly overcharging people and could so easily reduce your prices and be more competitive your prices are absolutely disgraceful it is a real shame people and places have to be so greedy as this is a lovely place with great staff but until it changes it’s exorbitant pricing policy we won’t be returning

Amazing place will always visit when here

Visited the Crows nest with a group from work for a leaving party. We had reserved a table which was set for us arriving. We had a quick check of the menu to see what was available. Me and a colleague decided to share the Chicken Platter. The food arrived quickly for everyone. The platter offered a good variety and was rather tasty. We stayed for a few more drinks and the pub had a nice atmosphere.

Diners can be confident of good food and service at this venue.

We always enjoy our meals here, especially the burgers and Sunday dinners. Today I tried a salted caramel brownie for the first time and it was so delicious! The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the pub is situated in a lovely spot close to the beach and sea.

Had popped to the beach with the dogs on the first lovely sunny day of the year and decided to stop for a pint and some lunch on the way back. Brilliant place the dogs were very welcomed with a nice big bowl of ice cold water. the food was very good A and the staff were brilliant.

Well visited the crows nest again and as usual lovely food and lovely staff nothing is to much bother even to the extent of amending my order to suit my dietary needs. Love this place from the minute you enter to the minute you leave you are looked after

All-round nice place 2 eat and drink

Have been visiting the Crows Nest for many years and will for years to come. Even though it is a number of miles from our home, we class it as our local. Right on the seafront and plenty of tables outside to enjoy the view. Always made to feel really welcome. Very chilled out and a great menu. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Pizza 🍕 was tremendous! The kids ate them so fast I didn't get a chance to get a photo. They said it was the best pizza they had had in ages... and they are pizza addicts! Service was really friendly and efficient. The dough balls came a bit undercooked for our liking so they brought us fresh ones without a second thought and they were delicious! Great value anyway but we also had a 30% off voucher so total bargain. Dogs allowed in the bar area which was perfect for us It's definitely a local pub so lots of friends meeting there as well as visitors. Not our vibe but each to their own so no criticism.

Fish and chips are a great pub classic from here! Abbie and Lauren very friendly and positive. Will return. Dog friendly also, such a bonus! My dog got so much fuss from the girls. Very sweet. Fresh water and treats.

Had an amazing lunch. They had a separate gluten free menu and the food was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend the gluten free chicken tikka and apple crumble and custard. Will definitely be coming back.

My first time visiting here but my wife has been before and said the food was excellent? Well she wasn't wrong!!! A fantastic menu choice and great quality food at reasonable prices. We both had a main and desert which were excellent. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere with the tables spotlessly clean. I highly recommend you should pay a visit to The Crows Nest 👍

I came here for the first time with my partner. My partner said he came years ago and it was really good ! . I chose not to get the Sunday lunch because it all looked frozen veg etc. My partner got the Sunday lunch. It was big enough for a baby, I got the hunters chicken . This had frozen chips and onion rings. Was very poor. Portion sizes very very small- prices not reasonable So many amazing places in tbe north East for food . We will not be coming back . Service was good and my partner said the pint was good. My lattee was nice but again very very small ! . FROZEN OR TINNED FOOD SERVED

Staff were kind however through no fault of their own the standard of Sunday lunch was very poor, veg was not fresh, meat flavourless, gravy watery and flavourless and chewy microwaved yorkshire pudding all what can be described as a child's plate. Sorry to say

Visit this venue quite often and as usual sevice and food were outstanding Had a sirloin steak and a surf nd turf and 2 glasses of wine for less than £35 !!! Cannot fault the freindlyness and service from all of the staff Well done folks ,keep it going

Food not served as stated on menu. This happened at another marsdens pub the dancing betty at murton. Management stated opened at 10am for breakfast it didn't open till 11pm.

Another lovely lunch enjoyed at the Crows Nest! We received a warm welcome as always & both chose the very tasty & satisfying Hunters Chicken followed by Chocolate Fudge Cake from the lunch deal menu, which for the price is great value. We regularly visit on our trips to Seaham & will continue to do so.

Lovely warm atmosphere, the 2 ladies working are so nice and checked all OK let us know when the food would be out, the pizza we ordered was very nice and fresh and worth the money. The ordering from the table for drinks was nice and easy and the lady who served us (I don't know her name) but very very friendly and could not do enough for us.

Heating off, everyone have there coats on, no staff in have to wait fior drinks. Manager only works days . Good job if you run the pub
