Crows Nest in County Durham

Absolutely fantastic! This brilliant family pub offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with incredibly helpful staff. They host wonderful community events throughout the year at an affordable price, which is especially appreciated during these challenging times. It’s truly a treasure to Seaham. The highlight was Santa Claus—he was amazing! He really engaged with the children, making the experience magical and memorable for everyone. A perfect place for families to gather and create special moments together.

Lovely warm atmosphere, the 2 ladies working are so nice and checked all OK let us know when the food would be out, the pizza we ordered was very nice and fresh and worth the money. The ordering from the table for drinks was nice and easy and the lady who served us (I don't know her name) but very very friendly and could not do enough for us.

Another lovely lunch enjoyed at the Crows Nest! We received a warm welcome as always & both chose the very tasty & satisfying Hunters Chicken followed by Chocolate Fudge Cake from the lunch deal menu, which for the price is great value. We regularly visit on our trips to Seaham & will continue to do so.

Staff, we're very helpful but food took half an hour to come to the table

Heating off, everyone have there coats on, no staff in have to wait fior drinks. Manager only works days . Good job if you run the pub

Nicola and the team at The Crows Nest were very welcoming, friendly and helpful The atmosphere is warm and homely. Compliments to the chef our meals were delicious.

Met friends here on Saturday for food and drinks. We were served by Zena and Becky they were friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere. Would definitely come again. They are a great asset to your team.

Went here yesterday for food for an 18th birthday meal and ordered the hunters chicken, it was bland no flavour a tiny bit sauce with frozen chips. I have been up all night with stomach pains and diarrhoea. Also my wife’s food was the lasagna and she’s had stomach pains all night as well. We can’t understand as we’ve had food here before and it was good. The why has massively dropped

Well visited the crows nest today 5pm not the usual staff as we normally dine around 1pm ish Service was not as good as normal ie when served our meal we are normally asked if we need anything else the staff member was off like a shot I had to shout her back for extra condiments. Also usually through the meal we are normally asked if everything is OK with the meal but not on this occasion these little details mean a lot to a customer especially regular customers better luck next time

Me and my husband took our grandson for a meal. He got the pepperoni pizza it was lovely.I got steak it was lovely hubby got hunters chicken great. Lovely service.meal hot no faults

The staff are all very helpful and joyful and the food comes quickly and always tidy.

Myself and my wife, had a fantastic meal at The Crows Nest on Monday 4th November 2024. I had the mixed grill and she had the gammon steak, both followed by apple crumble. All the food was delivered quickly and our huge portions were both delicious and piping hot. To make things even better, I got 30% off the main meals...amazing. The whole setting off the pub is clean, relaxing and well presented. A lovely setting right on the coast. The 2 girls who served us were efficient and extremely friendly. The music was too loud for my wife, and after asking other pub users, who stated they weren't bothered about the music. I asked one of the staff members, who immediately turned the music off. So helpful and considerate. I can thoroughly recommend the food, staff and location of the Crow's Nest. We'll definitely be back. 10 out of 10. I'd give 11 if I could.

Was booked in for sunday lunch at 1pm and was informed there was a 45 min wait for food, there hardly seemed to be any staff working.

Philly steak baguette and chips was lovely for lunch, followed by hot choc fudge cake, which was delicious. Very good service and polite and attentive staff. Prices are very good aswell

We came in to watch the football and got some lunch before kick off, the food is always very good and the service is second to none, would definitely recommend to anyone in seaham or visiting the area.

Took my 2 dogs and elderly disabled dad. You have to take dogs through a different entrance which isn’t very disability friendly. The designated dog dining area has a TV on the wall and is where people sit to watch sports. Fine if that’s why you’re there, but we’re not interested in football. The staff were very nice and the food was lovely. Nice toilets too, and plenty of space to park in the car park.

My son was happy with his mixed grill, however fish & chips is very small. The lemonade had no fizz and they had no coffee. I won't return in a hurry. The staff were all polite .

Myself and my husband often come here and came today with our family which was there first time and they were so impressed they live in Newcastle but advised they would travel here as it was amazing. Food and staff truly perfect and huge shout out for Becky she is absolutely lovely x my family gave 10 out 10 and I always give 10 out of 10.

Love this place. Treat it as 'our local' even though a 10 min drive away. We, and our dogs are always made welcome by all the lovely staff...with a special mention for Zena, who always stops for a chat and is so helpful and cheery!

The food was lovely. The staff were exceptional. My mum is in a wheelchair and it was so easy to access the building. Well done to all.

The staff here are awesome, we asked for a quiet spot as one of my sons struggles with sensory issues, and boy did they do good by us. The staff were lovely and calm at all times and sat us in a nice quiet booth. As for the food the boys loved the chicken burgers and the rump and sirloin steaks were bursting with flavour. I am so grateful for a brilliant family meal.

Good pub not many in when we arrived at teatime food was champion.

Becky has fantastic customer service, go in here regular and everytime i do im welcomed with a smile from Becky and excellent service. Dont eat here often as prefer home cookef food but for drinks come regular and this is mainly necause of location and service 😊

Out with the family of 4 & 2 friends. Had a great night. The service from Sarah was spot on. Her knowledge of drinks, prices etc was exceptional. Sarah always made time for conversation whilst I was being served which made my night flow without any drama

Regular customer at the crows nest and always made to feel very welcome. We often go in with our two dogs when on a walk and nothing is ever too much trouble. Lauren always makes an effort of coming to our table to say hello to us (and the dogs) 🤣 Food is always great also would recommend 10/10

Tasty food and fantastic service right by the beach where we spent a fun hour searching for sea glass! Staff were excellent and atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed.

The pub looked lovely and clean upon entry. Staff welcomed us as we entered. We found our table that we needed and perused the menu which is well laid out. Only negative thing to say was that we couldn’t find a drinks menu to help us decide what we wanted before going to the bar to order. Our food was lovely and arrived quite quickly. We had the Hunters Chicken and Lasagne with chips.
