My time at the hotel was good in most ways. The room was nice and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location was great too, so close to Arendale mall. The one downside was the room service food. The prices were too high for the quality. I also had trouble calling room service because the phone in my room wasn't working. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I'd still recommend it to others, but I'd suggest eating at the nearby restaurants instead of ordering room service.

Well serviced rooms, tidy, clean and pretty well appointed. Bed was bit soft, OK like a big marshmallow ant not my usual firm job. Nice well located hotel though. Will use when back in Manchester.

Breakfast was great, dinner not so. Better eat dinner outside. There are enough options. The rest was sublime. See you again soon!

Loved everything about this hotel. Exceptional friendly and efficient service by every staff member. Comfortable and clean room. Great restaurant and bar. Large entrance lobby. If you are fortunate enough to have club room access it has great views and excellent service. Discounted parking available at the nearby Printworks ACPOA secure car park. I advise booking in advance via the ACPOA app using the hotel discount code. We shall definitely return.Short walk to the Arndale Centre and City Centre.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City for business purposes from the 4th to the 6th of August. Overall, the hotel is pleasantly decorated and well-lit, with a fairly modern feel that creates a comfortable atmosphere. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk team were welcoming and friendly. Overall, the staff were great throughout my visit, a credit to the whole team! I was informed of a £1.25 per night city tax that I had to pay upon check-in—a minor but unexpected charge. The room was well laid out, covering all the basics with an in-room fridge, safe, iron and ironing board, and coffee/tea-making facilities. There was mention of complimentary water available in the fridge, with sparkling water available from reception. Unfortunately, my room didn’t have any water in the fridge, but I was able to pick some up from the fitness centre, which was convenient. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and I slept well during my stay. The blackout curtains did an excellent job of blocking out all the light. Although the hotel is located on a busy street, I didn’t notice any noise or disturbance, which was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom was great, offering both a shower and bath option. The shower had good temperature control and pressure, which made for a pleasant experience. The shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner provided were nice, though a bit basic. I had forgotten my shaving kit, but I was able to pick one up from reception, which was a helpful touch. Now, the gym—or rather, the fitness centre—was a major letdown. Despite being open 24/7, it’s by far the most basic fitness centre I’ve encountered. With only a few cardio machines (treadmill, bike, rower) and a couple of resistance machines (1 x chest press and 1 x leg press) that's it. Hardly sufficient for anyone looking for a proper workout. Very disappointing. There were, however, water and towels available, which was a small consolation. A note to future guests: you need to ask reception to activate your key card for gym access, which requires signing a waiver. Frustratingly, there’s a glitch in their system—if they activate gym access, you lose access to your room. After using the gym, I had to go back to reception to reactivate my room key. Hopefully, they’ll resolve this issue soon or at least communicate it at check-in. If this issue continues, maybe they can provide separate keys for the gym and room to avoid this inconvenience (although not a great solution, it's better than having to run to reception.) I didn’t eat at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the food quality. However, I did grab a coffee in the morning, and the breakfast spread looked to have a good selection. I’d stay here again if I had to, but I’d most likely choose another hotel next time due to the gym situation. That said, it’s a solid option overall, and I wouldn’t rule out a return visit.

Amazing service, really present, but the rooms are very old and below expectations for the price range and stars. Hairdryer not working, TV not working, in short, shame about the rooms, the rest was perfect

Lots of choice and all very delicious. Credit to all the staff who had smiles on their faces and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended. S credit to the management.

Great hotel. Water, cookies and chips refilled every day in the club room we stayed in. The lounge has a great view of the city. The employee there was very accommodating and the selection was plentiful.

Excellent location, 2 mins from Arndale centre. Nearby car park with hotel discount code (£18/day I thought that was still a little expensive). Rooms are good, but could do with a bit more lighting as it's a bit dark. Breakfast was good and friendly staff. Would come again.

Not the best hotel ive ever stayed in but it was ok. There was strange purple marks on the sheets? The shower was minute, the breakfast was very good and very efficiently run unlike the restaurant which had the world's smallest food selection and some strange choices on, also it was nothing like the online menu which is the only reason we went. Service was slow and sluggish, price wise I would class it as overly expensive. Also the room entry card kept resetting itself so had to keep going to reception to have it programmed again. Wouldn't go again. After this review i was contacted by Amelia Snoxell Guest Relations Manager who wanted me to speak about my stay in more detail, which i did but heard nothing back from Amelia. Once again extremely poor customer service. 👎👎
