Crown Hotpot in Leeds

I came last week with my friends. The food was incredible! We got the buffet and was so worth the price. The staff were very lovely and welcoming, especially the manager. We did get a bit confused on how to order etc but got the hang of it. I recommend the tom yum soup, the schezuan was way too spicy even when we asked for mild. The beef, lamb and chicken is halal. All tasted 10/10. Planning to come again next week! Thankyou

Always love my hotpot here, all you can eat for £30

Went with my sisters for the first time to try hot pot. This place did not disappoint. They have halal beef, lamb and staff are lovely. We didn’t really know what we were doing at first and what to order but the female staff were happy to help. Manager was lovely too. We did order from the all you can eat menu but did order too much so be careful with how much you order as you could be charged for wastage. Great experience and great customer service. Will certainly be back.

I have not been into this restaurant but I will never go there. They have thrown all their raw chicken legs and skins and bones outside the restaurant on the road for birds to eat. It looks and smells disgusting. So bad

Looking in leeds and surrounding area i needed something special oriental ingredients upon been to this shop prior i though yes I walk there again. ! . Yes I found that ingredient i couldn't find previously in leeds and it was perfect 👌 the staff were wonderful prices are great next door to sushi restaurant for oriental and other global exchange students when going there it's got that I needed restaurant upstairs inside along with a Chinese tea counter and banter from owner and staff couldn't of been more helpful as I was looking for noodles for my daughter and my creamed sweetcorn fantastic and friendly and also wonderful cheerful people who smile .

The food was amazing and the service was even better! It was our first time going to Hot Pot and we were a bit confused at first how to go about it. Fang instantly came over and explained everything to us perfectly! She delivered first hand customer service and an unforgettable experience throughout the entire dinner, personally showing us how to go about it. The food was delicious and delivered quickly, and Fang came to check in periodically to make sure everything ran smoothly. She absolutely made the night a 10/10 and delivered an amazing personalized experience that we will definitely be coming back for!

Best AYCE hotpot in Leeds!! Food: we went for the all you can eat hotpot. To start, there’s an area with fried rice, noodles and other starters which you can help yourself to and also a range of condiments and spices to make your sauces to dip for the hotpot food. The choice of ingredients to order for the hotpot is super broad and this is what wins me, there’s many varieties of meats you can choose from and also fish balls, seafood and vegetables too so there’s a choice for everyone eating. Atmosphere: Chinese restaurant-esque, all good! Price: for the amount you can order for the buffet which I believe was under £30 this is an amazing deal that can fill you up for the entire day, also this includes the sides and dipping sauces. Service: service was great, the young lady that served us was super friendly and helpful. Broth was also replenished as required also. 10/10 can’t fault the place whatsoever, can even stock up your Chinese pantry in the Chinese supermarket downstairs too!

Superb meal in a lovely restaurant above a Chinese supermarket I honestly cannot praise it enough but what really stands out is the level of service and attention you receive which quite frankly in my experience is exceptional…. We had the one metre of beef )it really is one metre long ! Pork and chicken in Tom Yum and Szechuan soup along with crispy pork and chicken mixed with pak choi and lettuce … if I could give it six stars I would no question… thank you all !

Two Hot Pot bases - Mild Sichuan and Pork Bone 1 metre long beef, sliced pork, sliced lamb, boneless chicken feet, mixed leaf vegetables, enoki mushrooms and glass noodles. The service was exceptional and if you're new to Hot Pot, the staff will gladly explain. They're super friendly! The menu is vast and there will be items you recognise and also the opportunity to try something new. You can create your own dipping sauce from the array of ingredients such as: vinegar, soya sauce, sesame oil, sesame paste, salt, sugar, msg, garlic, coriander, spring onions, sesame seeds, chilli powder, chillis, peanuts... Once ordered from the vast menu, the food is delivered to your table in quick time. The meat is so thin and takes literally 10-15 seconds to cook. Absolutely delicious. The Sichuan peppercorns give you this numbing feeling to your lips. Such a pleasant sensation. I would highly recommend this place! It is a unique experience. Also... If you like Chinese Products, there is a Chinese Supermarket you have to walk through to get to the restaurant. Spoilt for choice.

Love this place! Amazing service. Edward was our waiter and he was so welcoming and friendly. It was our first time having hot pot and he gave us the best tips! Vegan and Veggie options available. We highly recommend the mushroom broth as a base. Delicious! We will be back!

It's a strange place to find, as access is through the supermarket and upstairs, but the find it worth, as the food is excellent, staff friendly and reasonably priced. No parking as such so look for a nearby paid multi storey etc, but well worth a visit....you can stock up in the supermarket too while you are there 😉 Great authentic food and good quality. Served really quickly and would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you for a great evening.

Went about 2 years ago with a friend and the food was amazing, definitely over ordered. There was a lack of English speaking staff so when asking for suggestions we ordered half the menu, the food was amazing though!!!

Please note this is cash only (there is a Tesco next door with a cash machine) Great service, staff showed us how to make sauces and how to cook ingredients. Food was amazing and I hate Asian food usually. The gentleman who served us was very knowledgeable and even took time to show the kids how to cook and enjoy their experience. We did order way too much but staff offered to bag it for us to take home (guess what I had to make for supper?) I went with my 2 kids, I would recommend going as a group of 4 or more as the choices are to your taste. The choice is huge and we forgot the basics like rice and spring rolls. I enjoyed the Prawn Mash The price is reasonable for what you get and worth the experience.

First time having hot pot and had a fabulous experience with the team here! Everyone super friendly, asked if it was our first time and made excellent suggestions and were very attentive in making sure we had a wonderful meal and a fabulous time. The food was well presented, super fast and plentiful! Average prices for a meal for two - all in all very happy and will deffo be back 👍😎

Came here today for the second time with my 10-year-old son for our mum & son night. I was surprised the waiter who was so good last time remembered us! He is by far the most polite, helpful and attentive waiter I have ever had! So helpful and made both experiences we have had absolutely fantastic, especially as the first time we came I didn't have a clue how any of it worked and what half of it even was. Anyway with his help, we were able to select a decent range of things for our hotpot and it was all delicious and really allowed both my son and I to try a whole range of things and new experiences. We came away feeling very full and the waiter had packed away the things we didn't quite manage to finish for us to bring home. It was actually my son that had found this place and the novel idea of literally cooking the food at the table did sound interesting. All In all it was a lovely evening, extremely helpful and attentive staff who can't do enough for you. The restaurant its self isn't massive and is over the top of a Chinese supermarket which also has a great selection of things at good prices. If you come to the restaurant for the first time, please be aware that they don't take card payments so you need to bring cash, or they do allow a bank transfer thankfully as I was unaware of the lack of card payment facility on my first visit. You are given a menu at the start if you choose hot pot and are asked to select your soup broth and anything else. You will be served all of these on separate plates with a large hot pot In the middle which you place your ingredients in to cook. There is the option of a condiments selection which is charged at around £2.90 (approx) per person. The bill today for my son and I for one broth, 2 smaller meat selection (lamb & beef), a mushroom selection, prawns and flat noodles then a can of coke and a J20 was £58.30. It isn't what you would call cheap however It filled both my son and I and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely return. I'm very sorry I didn't catch the waiter name who served us on both occasions but he was amazing. Thank you.

Heard so many good reviews from my colleagues and hence decided to give them a try! OMG!!!! I love them!!! The food was excellent!!!!!!! The service they give is really really outstanding!!!!! Each and every person specifically Daniel was so sweet!!! When we told him that it’s our first time trying it he gave clear cut instructions about how to have the food, how to make the BEST sauce….. I love how hygienic they are!!! The washroom was really clean!!! The restaurant atmosphere was really welcoming!!!! They never rest I guess!! I mean they are constantly running around and helping everyone!!!! Sooo nice place!!! Definitely recommend👍👍👍👍 Will visit AGAIN FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!

The location of the restaurant is very good, it is located by the road, where there are a lot of buses and it is close to the center. Before you enter the restaurant, make sure you have cash with you, as you can pay by card here. The tables and toilet are in great condition, very clean inside. The food is fresh, the portions are very good for this type of restaurant, you can eat very well, but you will also spend a lot, it is best to go with friends (the whole group) and share the bill and food. If you like trying new culinary experiences, you should visit this place! The service was very, very nice.

I left here with a bad taste in my mouth. Not necessarily from the food, but from the bill. My partner and I turned up for what was supposed to be a quick lunch which ended up setting us back £70+ and we left the majority of it. It was just bland, I'm really not sure what the fuss is about. Us ordering so many dishes, I guess wasn't their fault, but what I didn't agree with was being told to help ourselves to the condiments, while we waited for the food, only for them to sneakily bill us, over £5, for this. They're not free! If you really want to go, a tip would be to ask them how many dishes they recommend to order. Second, don't get the condiments, or maybe only send one person to get them and you may as well get them all, not just a small dish of soy. Lastly, look around and see what the regulars are eating. None of them had the hot pot dishes, just the bento boxes, which to be fair, looked tasty. And they're a fraction of the price.

10/10 every time I go here. Never any complaints and service is fantastic. I just wish they were a tad closer to home.

Just been to the hot pot restaurant last couple days a ago ! First time I’m here for the hot pot it was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent too ,especially the young man staff very experience and patience！definitely back highly recommend !👍

There were two of us and I spent just over £150, but this has no impact on my review; the food was good, and the service was quick. However, they wanted to charge us an additional £2 each to drink our own drinks, which I thought was shameful. It is also cash only so be prepared for that

I went here with a couple of work colleagues a week ago, what a great experience! The waiter was absolutely brilliant and took the time to give detailed instructions, recommendations, and even made a customised a dip for the table. The food was brilliant and there was a wide choice to cover all tastes. Price was good, not super cheap but I felt for what we got it was great value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, it was our first hotpot experience and any trepidation was lifted immediately - thank you! We will absolutely be visiting again.

What was described as ‘fresh beef with honey comb’ came out as cow stomach lining! It was disgusting and ruined the whole meal! Spent £50 and came away hungry! Service was brilliant and everyone was kind, but the food was just horrendous.

Slow service, we have arrived & ordered by 12:45pm, nearly an hour later until the food has finally arrived. The worst part was that they weren't busy at all! Having to nudge the service several times for remaining items and ended up cancelled 1 as we need to head back for the carpark. Thought 2hrs was plenty of time for lunch and a la carter hotpot! Waitress was nice enough if you can find them. Tried to ask for cutlery for my young son, they can't even bother to take initiative to provide 1 fork!!! God helps them during busy period! Food was ok. Won't going back unless I have more time than saint!

Disappointed I booked a table of 14 for my Partners birthday a month prior. Came to the day. I called to change the number of people attending as someone had cancelled. They had no record of a booking and couldn’t fit us in.

Looking for somewhere to eat at the last minute, we stumbled onto the place via Google Maps. Took a chance and walked through the supermarket up to the restaurant. The setting is clean and well maintained with very good spacing of tables. Plenty of seating too. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with a smile and they managed to fit us in without a booking (definitely book, this place is worth its popularity). From that point on, the service was attentive but never pushy. Always with a smile and couldn’t do enough, explained everything and gave excellent recommendations. The food was nothing short of an amazing experience. Choosing every item and able to eat at a slower pace and cook it as you go means more time to spend with those you’re dining with. Or you can eat food ready to go and make it a quick visit. Well presented with a great selection of meat, tofu, seafood and vegetables. 10/10.

What a find. Great restaurant upstairs from the also great Chinese supermarket. Massive choice of food and it’s all presented so nicely. Big hotpot in the middle of the table to cook your choices of food - went for the metre of beef and wasn’t disappointed. The service was good and the homemade plum juice was delicious. IF YOU HAVE A PEANUT ALLERGY BE CAREFUL! Excellent service by very friendly and courteous staff. The food was very tasty and not at all greasy. The eating style is interactive and engaging, a very new experience for us. However, sadly, despite communicating my partners peanut allergy to our waiter about 10 minutes in she had a reaction and couldn't eat anymore. We paid (reasonable price, not cheap) and returned home where after lengthy cramps she's thrown up what she did eat. A real shame. Its a good job her allergy isn't epipen level.

Food is perfectly ok, although the meats are nothing special. Pretty expensive though and they automatically add 10% service charge even though you're cooking your own food. I enjoyed it but for me it's too expensive for what it is.

Amazing first experience at hotpot! We were a bit intimidated beforehand as we’d never been but the staff were so lovely and explained the whole process and how long we should cook each meat/fish/veg for. The sliced lamb we ordered cooked in 10 seconds! Also ordered shell-on prawns, bok choy, noodles and dumplings with the tomato oxtail soup & medium Szechuan spice soup. The dipping sauce station was incredible too! *Cash only* but there is an ATM next door in front of the Tesco Express

The food was really nice and they also had halal options , the staff were amazing they were very helpful in choosing our options and offered very good customer service and made sure we were okay the whole way through.

An exciting, unusual culinary experience that I thoroughly enjoyed!! The menu was extensive and had something for everyone, whether your dietary preferences include meat, veggie or vegan options. The broths were tasty, we chose the medium spicy and the mild vegetable one, and the collection of marinades and sauces also made sure that we were able to get a variety of flavours to compliment the food and broths. Portion sizes were great, and overall was a novel eating out experience, even if things got a little messy! Only thing to be careful on was selecting what you want from the menu as a couple of things we ordered were incorrect as the tick boxes weren’t clear for what menu item they represented. Other than that, highly rate !!

Great place, unusual location as you enter via a shop on the ground floor, bit the food if fantastic, different as all served to the table and you cook it in the soup yourself, great social place to eat, food is not crazy expensive but very nice and the staff are all lovely

The hotpot was so good. We chose the tom yum and the normal bone broth. Tom yum soup is highly reco! Also, I tried a lot of Hotpot around the world and if I will rate it, its 8/10!! Go and try it for yourself 💙 Very nice service as well.

The restaurant is tucked away above the supermarket. The hotpot was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic. I highly recommend a visit! We will definitely be back. Pro tip: don’t wear white!

A very unique place to eat in Leeds, especially if you haven't tried Chinese hot pot before. Most of the menu items you can choose from are raw and then you boil the ingredients in the broth of your choosing. The portions are very big so make sure you don't order too many things at once! Lots of veggie options available too.

incredible traditional hot pot restaurant which was surprisingly EXCELLENT for vegan options. two vegetarian broths, many types of tofu, beancurd and gluten plus delicious fresh mushrooms and vegetables of many varieties. staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful in checking items for us (e.g. which noodles contained egg). other bits are vegan too such as vegetable dumplings, steamed rice, satay sauce, etc. homemade watermelon juice was a highlight too. will definitely be back here!

The quality of the food was great, so fresh and everything tasted lovely. Also, the restaurant looks and feels very clean, and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the delicious smell! The staff were so friendly and helped us with how to cook the food. They accommodated us when one of the soups was too spicy by hand removing the pepper corns. The were attentive with making sure the soup stayed stocked up. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Definitely recommend for an authentic experience and a great price!

The food was wonderful, we are vegetarians and had many options to choose from. Do not order the clear oil soup as your base as it is pure oil and a lot of it. Go for some other base soup.

🤮Never come to eat such a bad hotpot, ever! Even the desserts are awful, only the drinks are still drinkable, I don't know where the good reviews are coming from. The pot base tasted bad, the vegetables and meat were not fresh, the seasoning was awful and the prices were not cheap. Its meat and vegetables looked like expired food brought up from the Chinese supermarket downstairs. Ordered chicken claws, very tough and lean meat, looked like frozen food from the market downstairs for a few quid a pack heated up. Wouldn't accept any explanation from the restaurant !

Enjoyed the experience. Got the split hotpot with mild Szechuan and oxtail tomato. The Szechuan was too spicy for me haha but the flavour of the oxtail broth was nice. Got a sliced beef, sliced pork, some prawns, noodles, brocolli and baby pak choi. We left absolutely stuffed. Making your own dipping sauce is great as well. Just a note for anyone with light sensitivity the overhead lighting is extremely bright white and it took me a while to get used to. They also only take cash. I’d come back again.

It was a good new experience. There were 8 of us having lunch, and it was a bit complicated to cook all the food. The pot was not hot, and we had to wait. The price was reasonable. Perhaps four or fewer people would expedite the cooking process.

Amazing food with a great authentic twist.

Simply amazing place, hidden away in the back of a Chinese supermarket, it's a great Chinese hotpot, prices are about average for a good quality hotpot place, the meat, veggies and seafood are all high quality and the service is constantly amazing. Staff were super helpful, provided as much help as they possibly could, gave help to those that didn't know what to do, food arrived quickly and the hotpot was topped up constantly.

First time here and had the Tom Yum broth, which was lovely. The veggie broth had a fair amount of oil though. An unusual experience but everyone enjoyed it and I'm sure we'll be back.

Probably the best hot pot in Yorkshire! Been to a couple of hot pot places, went to one near Leicester square and this one is by far better! A great experience, all the staff are extremely happy, helpful and extremely polite! They always go through the menu with you to ensure they have the right order and the base broths are amazing, pair that with first class ingredients and amazing staff and it's an absolute home run! Would recommend to anyone who hasn't tried hotpot before to try here first!

This is the first time I am trying a Chinese Hotpot. Beef and chicken are Halal here. The atmosphere and service are very good. The food is fresh and the quality of the meat is very good. I enjoyed it.
