I’ve got to give it to crowd of favours! Went in there tonight and greeted by the most friendliest staff. We went with our dog and the amount of love they shown towards him was so nice! They also have fantastic dog food options. The clientele they attract is spot on and the atmosphere is fantastic. I’ve been a few times and it’s always been great. We ordered some food and despite having to send some back the staff dealt with it amazingly even taking it off the bill. (Which I felt very guilty about) The quality of the food is brilliant and the service also second to none. I didn’t catch the younge ladies name that was serving us (brown hair and she was a vegetarian). But I just want to say you do a amazing job and you really made our expirience lovely. 5* for food, service, atmosphere, venue! Thank you all very much you have got it so right!

A really wonderful, cosy pub in the centre of Leeds. There is an extensive selection of drinks, including non-alcoholic, of which the friendly staff are knowledgeable. The food from Grilling Me Softly is excellent. Our go to for a cosy drink with our books.

We met here for a friend's leaving drinks. The drink prices are reasonable considering it is the City Centre. I just had a portion of chips that were very chunky and really nice with a homemade feel. My friends tried the chicken, veggie, and beef burgers. They all enjoyed their meal with my friend who had the beef burger saying it was amazing. One friend tried the meatball loaded chips, but I don't know what he thought about it. It was a decent portion, though. The staff were quite friendly and there's lots of separate seating areas for your group to enjoy a semi private space. There's also a garden area outside, which is great in summer and an additional seating area downstairs. One downside is that the toilets are a bit smelly, I think it's due to lack of ventilation as they're downstairs. They can cater for events and also have activities on. It's on the outskirts of the centre but right next to the NCP and bus station, so it's a great place to start or end your day. The doorway is a little narrow due to it being a very old pub, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a wheelchair inside. Also, the seating is on different levels, so only 3 seating areas are on the entrance level, which is also the level of the bar.

Came for a Sunday roast which was really nice, we came quite late on in the day so only one beef left and it was very tough to cut. We waited for quite some time for the food but when I arrived it was nice. Was a little pricey for what we got.

This is my favourite pub in Leeds! I run a semi-regular pub quiz here for my work-mates and we always have a fantastic time. The atmosphere is incredible, especially if you are able to sit the basement area and the food is excellent (and really good value). Additionally, the staff, particularly Beth (the manager) are extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. This is definitely a pub to check out if you've never been before.

One Friday lunch, after an organ concert at Minster Leeds, we went to a nearby venue and it was a success. Cold beer, very tasty food and adequate portions, normal price for the city, good sound, very tasty rock music. And there is also a very friendly and beautiful Cocker Spaniel dog. It is worth it....

Yummy Sunday roast, with one of the best yorkshire puddings I’ve ever had. Beef was pink but unfortunately quite chewy / sinewy. The chicken was apparently more like Nando’s which my friends enjoyed. The veg was exceptional! My favourite part to be fair, very well seasoned with fresh flavours. Mash was quite bland and dry. Overall a bit of a mixed plate. They were very obliging with an extra jug gravy of gravy for us when we asked. My friends ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which was huge and a meal in itself! They also had some fun beers on tap. Overall very good and would come back.

Staff were communicative in the run up and helpful in getting my idea for my event to come to life. On the night staff were available as needed and were ready to help the event run smoothly. Everyone who participated in the hot buffet remarked how much they enjoyed it and that the options were really good. Love this place but food wasn’t up to usual standard. We’d been before and had a fabulous meal and drinks, so we were looking forward to going again. Beer selection is amazing, lots of local beers on hand pull. Staff are amazing and really helpful and friendly. We’d booked a week before our visit and had already looked at the food menu so were disappointed to learn on arrival that they were just printing menus off as they were running a limited menu. It was just burgers and chicken wings. We all chose burgers and chips. The chips were great but 3 of the 4 of us had soggy bottom halves to our burgers. We told them about one of the burgers (we didn’t know 3 were soggy at the time) and they brought out a replacement bun which we shared between us. We were disappointed with the food, but would definitely recommend the pub for the beer and staff.

We booked for a late Sunday dinner (which coincided with the pub's quiz night!) - and unfortunately, by the time of our booking, all protein options but one were gone, together with all vegetables (?). We have been offered a generous serving of everything that they had left, but it ended up being potatoes and potato mash with chicken - hardly a Sunday dinner. We have ordered dessert, which was originally thought to be there by staff but none of it was left as well, so we were giving an extra serving of the other dessert option. It felt like kitchen staff tried their hardest to compensate for food running out, but not a lot of care or interest came from front of house staff. Hence, inconsistent service. The quiz was excellent - so made up for any food mishaps!

Crowd of Favours is a lovely traditional British pub tucked away down one of the back streets in Leeds City Centre. Anthony is the man behind Schnit Faced and he has a permenent residency in the kitchen here. We have tried his food a few times at several pop-up events across Leeds but this was our first time trying his take on classic "pub food". The menu has plenty of choice and you can choose to switch between small plates or larger plates. The portions of both are very generous for the price and the presentation of the dishes is always perfect. Anthony's food never disappoints- he is not frightened to use flavour in his dishes which is a big positive for us. We sampled two small plates and two main plates and we were absolutely stuffed We had the Sauteed Mushrooms- such a simple dish but it well and truly packed a punch. It was really delicious. The sauce was creamy rich and contained even more garlic. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and the fresh soft ciabatta was soaked in garlic butter. Dim Sum Bowl- I am not a huge lover of steamed dumplings so was pleased to see these were fried- they had the perfect crispy crunch and were nicely seasoned. Inside was a really fragrant and flavourful veggie filling. The pairing sauce had a nice kick of heat from the ginger and was slightly sharp from the soy- it was delicious Big Dog- First of all homemade fries are my absolute favourite and these were perfect with a crispy salty skin. The smoked kielbasa was delicious with a super smoked flavour and tasted like it had been on a bbq grill with a crispy charred skin. The crispy onions added a nice crunchy texture yet didnt overpower the sandwich (im not a fan of piling loads of fried onions onto a hotdog). Ketchup and mustard are the perfect condiment for a hot dog too Garlic and Rosemary Beef Rump with side of Mac and Cheese and Caesar Salad- The grill section of the menu consists of a protein or veggie dish with a choice of two sides. All of the sides sounded so hearty that we went for a salad to balance out the heavy food but look at the size of it! it was worth it though as it was so delicious, coated in fresh rich parmesan and zingy sauce. The homemade baked mac and cheese was comfort food at its finest with a cheesy rich creamy sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection with plenty of pink and was marinated in the most beautiful refreshing salsa verde

Had a pint then checked out they menu. They do a grilled platter for 2 for £35 - including a bottle of wine! It came with steak, 2 X chicken breasts (one spicy one herby), sausage, and an enormous portion of fries. Absolute no brainer! I also had to order the Yorkshire pudding and gravy side - because yorkies are life! They were 2 huge ones on the plate and tasted amazing! The grilled platter was big and food tasted fantastic. My only critisism was the steak was rare so sadly I couldn't eat it. If you don't like it bloody, then ask when you order as I'm sure they would do it more well done. Noted for next time as we will definitely be back! The staff had checked everything was ok. As my partner can eat it rare, it just meant he got all the steak! The front area was cosy and comfy, there was also similar downstairs. However the back of the pub had a more cafe vibe to it. Plenty of extra seating, but not such a cosy atmosphere. A change of colour and some art work could bring it into line with the rest of the establishment. They also have a good selection of boardgames available.

Went to S&C for the first time with my parents and my partner for a half-way Sunday Lunch between Leeds and Harrogate. The staff were really helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was terrific. If I'm nitpicking, the only thing I would offer in terms of constructive feedback was that we specifically chose S&C because of the vegan options online, but the Sunday menu didn't offer the same variety and a vegan dessert option would have been great - but I'd be lying if I said it was a big deal. Definitely going back at some point!

The location is superb being so close to the train station . Our Hotel was a mere 100 metres away so we were really excited going after our anniversary meal for cocktails. We had been recommended to visit here by several friends so we were prepared for a fun end to the evening . Great welcoming bar atmosphere and cheerful , helpful staff helping us select something to suit our taste from the extensive menu . Sad!y the preparation of all cocktails ends with completely filling the glass with ice then pouring in the concoction to rest towards the bottom of the glass . It didn't take long for our drinks to start being weakened by the melting ice and left me grimacing at the taste at the end . Sadly this was our only drink as we left to try somewhere else .
