Plenty of home cooked food on menu. Also home made cake. Sweet cones for the children, and a nice warming fire

and that’s not a criticism. This is what a pub should be. Good beer, friendly staff, great beer garden and simple well cooked pub food. So many pubs these days pretend to be something they’re not. This place is a proper pub and all the better for it. I wish it was my local.

Old world country pub with plesant and welcoming staff ,warm roomy and comfortable accomodation with good breakfast included in the overall room rate. Ideal location paticularly if visiting family/friends in the area.

Cambrige Road 139I feel so lucky to have discovered this place, Polcaros, it’s so amazingly tasty that I have to choose practically EVERYTHING! Such wonderful service every time & what amazing history about the place written up on the wall! 🤩 A MUST for everyone! Really caring owner, brilliantly priced & packaged, in-fact I am eating as I type! (mushy pea-fritter, scrumptious). Excellent batter so the chips speak for themselves, yum! such awesome Cod, Beautiful Battered Sausage again, Spring-roll I couldn’t wait to have so had it there & then on the spot! I have never had such juicy deep fried mushrooms, Can’t wait to eat the Battered Burger but will have to as everything is so good and has filled me up so much that I may save it as a midnight feast 😀 or even take it to work with me as I’ve never had one before. There is so much for every occasion and every person! Thanks Again.

94 High streetFine dining at its best. Starter, main, desert and service all ten out of ten. Can’t wait to go again. Would highly recommend!!
