Crepeaffaire at the Hippodrome in City of London, Westminster

We stopped at Crepe Affaire for drinks to wrap up our day in the city. Having already eaten earlier, we opted only for drinks. The service and pricing were both acceptable. Unfortunately, as we prepared to leave, things went a bit pear-shaped. Each of us wanted to use the toilet before leaving. The regular toilets downstairs were accessible to two of us. But my mother, with ailments including heart failure, asked to be allowed to use the accessible toilet at ground level. She was initially told “no, go downstairs” by unsympathetic staff, and afterwards, following a bit of a protest, she was told “use your radar key”. It should be pointed out that this was not a toilet on the street, rather a toilet inside a food/drink establishment. Without question, access should have been provided. But one very ignorant staff member - Sasha being her name - had zero compassion for a customer who could not manage stairs and preferred to decide for herself which customers were disabled enough to use an accessible toilet. In doing so, my mother was discriminated against under the Equality Act 2010. So enraged by the situation, I asked the employee for her reasoning. She told me that customers frequently ask to use that particular toilet and they “aren’t disabled”. Whether they confess to being able-bodied or staff make that assumption, I’ve no idea. Whilst apologetic, the damage was done. Evidently this is an establishment in need of some disability awareness training. Carrying on as they are, they’re opening themselves up to legal claims from customers that have faced similar discrimination. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Had a wonderful experience at Crepe Affaire today, thanks to Yaroslav! He went above and beyond to help us find a comfortable seating arrangement and made ordering such a breeze. He also made sure my friend, who is vegan, was well taken care of with delicious options. Yaroslav’s attention to detail and friendly attitude made our visit truly enjoyable. Beautiful place right in the center of London We went there to have pancakes, hot chocolate and a cappuccino. Everything was good Prices are high but it is average in central London Close to Picadilly and Chinatown I highly recommend

I popped into this Crepeaffaire on impulse on the way home. I had the Oreo Cookie crêpe which was delicious and definitely recommended. There was a generous portion of cream and I liked how there was a mixture of whole Oreo cookies and crumble. The café itself was clean with a nice interior and the staff were friendly. I will definitely be back.

i visited this place a couple of days ago,it was my first time there and I really loved the atmosphere, I had avocado crepe, vegan chocolate and banana crepe and it was amazing they have a lot of good options also suitable for vegetarians. I also have to mention the amazing service I received from Sasha. I would love to visit again.

I recently discovered this place. The menu looks quite nice for me, but I’m more into sweet crepes, loved the Ferraro Rocher one. The atmosphere is very cozy and serves is quite good too. Also wanted to thanks Sasha, coffee she made me last time was one of the best I had lately😌

It’s not my first time here and I really like this place. All crepes I’ve tried so far were delicious, but ”I’ll have what she’s having” has to be my favourite one. Also wanted to mention lovely Sasha who works here, and thank her for delivering not only a nice service, but a good mood with her friendly smile too.

I barely leave reviews here but now It’s definitely my new favourite place in London! The coffee here is delicious🙏🏻🤤 My friend and I are coffee lovers but not everywhere it’s that good as here. So disappointing. My son and I arrived and were told it was cash only. No problem so we took a seat. It was pretty quiet so when we’d been there for 10mins and no one served us I went to the counter to ask if I had to order there. Nope, someone would be with us. 5mins later someone took our drinks and food order. Drinks arrived and although I’d been given sparkling water by mistake it was quickly swapped to still - all good. Another 10mins and the chap who’d ordered immediately after us got his crepes delivered. Still nothing for us. Another 15mins and we had to go as we had an appointment so I went to the counter to pay for the drinks only to be told they wouldn’t accept my Scottish £10 note - even when told it’s legal tender through the uk. Fine, so I paid contactless. No idea why we were told it was cash only. There was no explanation or apology for the food never turning up and it was honestly the worst service the whole time we were in London

Terrible service! Workers have bad unkind attitude, don’t let you sit in certain places and do not give you seated service. They are nonchalant and do not smile when we tried to make conversation. Such a shame as the food was delicious and well made!!

Coffee was fine, not a lot of choice (couldn't order a cortado or chai latte). Supposedly "table service" but heavily understaffed and waited ages to be served. Tried to order at the counter but was told it was table service only and had to sit down to wait again.

Staff/service was very slow. There were about 5 staff members working who were slow with poor service. English was quite bad and hygiene needs to be improved.

After visiting this branch numerous times, the staff are rarely as friendly as any other branch I have been to before. The worker’s attitudes are (mostly) really not the friendliest and they always seem to rush and are not very helpful, despite the time & business of the cafe! It’s upsetting, considering the extremely high standards the other branches hold!

A little more space than the Islington version. Not as quaint but equally nice.

Gf ordered I’ll have what she’s having) I had a little too it was nice she ordered toffee latte with it but it arrived halfway through her meal and it was just a normal coffe latte which she didn’t want but was to shy to say anything about she drank less then half told them at the end they just changed it to a coffe latte not good service in my opinion should of whipped it off but oh well she did drink less then half of what she didn’t order she wasn’t aware that you can just correct them but I don’t think she wanted to because it took so long to arrive.

Crepe Affair is a lovely place to visit at any time of the day! Even if you're vegan!! 🌱♥️ The staff is very nice and careful to their customers' needs. I had an oat coffee and vegan crepe with Belgian chocolate, strawberries, and whipped cream. 😋 All perfectly presented! Thanks to Amir, the manager who's been very entertaining and has made sure I had a lovely experience at Crepe Affair!

This place was lovely and clean on entering. We were met by very friendly staff and seated immediately. The menu was fantastic with plenty to choose from, all at great prices (considering we were in London!) The food was delivered promptly, red hot and absolutely stunning! It was the nicest food I have eaten out this year and we shall be going back again next time we are in London. 10/10 for absolutely every aspect of our visit here.

Svitlana is a superb waitress. She got all our orders right. The food was as expected, delicious. I ordered The Gold Standard. The atmosphere is so comfortable for tourists like us.

Always come here when visiting the West End. Perfect for a quick bite between shows. Amir and the whole team are always fab. Excellent wheelchair accessibility too which alot of simar places in the area seriously lack.

Perfect! We had both the savoury and sweet options and it was just what we needed and very affordable. Service was also rapid and friendly, we had Svitlana who helped us with everything we needed and helped with a substitution we needed. Definitely coming back

I had a great deal for a cocktail and a crepe for £15. Cocktail is good and the crepe was okay, but not great, because it was a little bit burned. Anyway, nice place for something sweet in Leicester Square ☺️

I visit this place on Saturday evening with my partner and to be honest I have been in many places in London but such rude people I have never meet. The worse experience ever. Even crepeaffaire is one of my favorites in London specifically the one in Angel but the one In Leicester is far the worse, customer service zero.

Went with some friends for crepes for dessert. Great selection including vegan options. We had "I'll have what she's having" crepe which has strawberries, cream, and Nutella, a vegan version of "I'll have what she's having", and the classic lemon and sugar crepe which comes with cream. They were delicious, so soft and I can taste the delicious butter on my lemon and sugar crepe. Soooooo good. I can imagine children would love it too! I will definitely go back again!

Had several crepes in London on Vacation and this was by far the best one. Vliana, makes some magic happen behind the counter in the creation of these things. With that said, the whole staff was wonderful. Worth the stop passing through the theatre district!

Ordered the "I'll have what she's having" crepe, loaded with strawberries, cream, and Nutella. It was a generous portion, but surprisingly easy to devour. Unlike other crepe places I've tried, this one wasn't overly sweet. Prices were reasonable too.

Wir haben sehr lange auf unsere Bedienung gewartet. 15 Minuten damit jemand unsere Bestellung aufnimmt und dann fast 40 Minuten auf unseren Café Latte. Da herrscht Chaos drin. Mit 10 Kellern und Mitarbeitern und 5 vollen Tischen schafft man es nicht zwei Cafés zu servieren. Schlecht.

The hot chocolate made me cry of happiness

Horrible place, terrible food, racist, first round came cold and dry. Second round came luke warm, no sauce, no filling and yet again dry. Why waste on a third round. To top it off we waited for a long while to be attended to, no care or regard for bad food (they didn’t seem surprised either) and the times we made a request the waitress spoke insults in Polish. Needless to say we were taking off that service charge to which we got another muttering under the breath and her friend to laugh. We went in 7/11/23 - whoever was working that evening should be fired. We also witness racial discrimination against a coloured couple in the corner from the same waitress who completely ignored them, threw the food on the table at them and looked down on them. Utterly diabolical.

Yummy crèpes both savoury and sweet ones. Service is a bit slow so not recommended if you're in a hurry.

Avec son personnel très désagréable je vous déconseille de vous arrêter dans ce restaurant. Les toilettes des hommes n’ont même l’eau courante, vous ne pourrez donc pas tirer la chasse d’eau ou vous laver les mains. Le personnel se moque de nous et la cuisine n’est vraiment pas terrible. Cela ne mérite pas plus d’une étoile (pour le mobilier mis à disposition).

We waited 10 minutes and they said they were making our coffee, they weren't busy, after 15 minutes we went in again and the girls were just chatting to each other in a different language, making the coffee slowly as they possibly could.

Food was great, service had no faults, chill atmosphere (I went in the morning) Got a biscoff crepe and a Nutella crepe. And I got a pot tea.

Patterned up my food within 5 minutes so I could make it on time for a movie. Was banging too. Absolute top g's. Shout out Karolina, you are awesome

Avoid at all cost if you’re a Muslim hijabi. As me and my friend entered waiting to be seated the staff, two men and a women all polish looking just stared at us no hi or hello we had to ask if we can be seated and they just nodded and we made our own way to our table. As we waited to be served we had to ask and they said we had to go up to the till and order. Then all of a sudden came along these young girls and the two men that work there were literally fighting each other on who could serve them, me and my friend were in shock as they approached them and took there order while we had to go up to the tills. It’s shameful and so sad that they allow people like this to work there. Avoid at all cost, one guy had black hair and the other blonde and black and women brown hair all should be fired.

We had a lovely experience, Adi served us and was kind and patient enough to list all the different desserts they had even though the cafe was pretty crowded. Plus, his Italian was perfect!

The waitress was trying her best to avoid eye contact with customers. Probably understaffed, or the team wasn’t too helpful, so there was not much a customer could do about it. Just cope with it. The flat white tasted similar to Nestle’s coffee. On the contrary, the crepe tasted really nice. Satisfied with the crepe cause that’s the most important dish that matters.

Great location & had coffee and savory crepes. The place is super cozy and the staff is nice. Would've loved the option of savory + sweet as an offer, but alas, you need to buy them separately. 😂

Unfortunately staff is rude. I have read that in other reviews too. We sat for a while and no one came to ask our order. I went to front to place the order instead. I thought may be they were busy or something but the attitude was so rude. Beside that the food was not the best. We ordered Nautella Crepe which was so dry with very little chocolate. We also ordered Nautella and Bayles thick shakes, and both were average.

Great food and lovely decor! Was served very quickly and the staff were so polite. However they kept forgetting our drinks which wasn’t great. The place is very clean and has a minimalist cosy vibe to it. The gluten free (buckwheat) crepe was a little tougher than usual which also wasn’t ideal but still tasted as incredible as ever.

We ate in crepes with Nutella and it was delicious, as well as the Coffee. Excellent place, Adi's service and attention makes us want to return :)

Lovely Crepe and coffee and brilliant service

We sat for a coffee, asked inside, and were briskly told to sit and wait. We waited. Then we got paper cups, no sugar or spoons. So the table service is like a takeaway? Then why wait for the waiters to order? Anyhow, among all the places in London, this is surely not a coming back one!

TLDR: nice for TA coffee, not more than that Saw the reasonable coffee prices and got in. The crew was impatient, made me pay for service while serving my coffee on carton cups and made a mistake (hopefully unintentionally) in my order.

The server the one who is in the counter ,was rude, she was tall,slim , no manners at all ,when I ask about my order . She said Rudely yeah just wait it will come. When my order arrive it was very dry .i didn’t even finished it I’m so disappointed and wasted my money for that..

Great place! We stumbled upon this place right around the corner from our hotel and it was memorable. Great food and great service! A gem!
