Staff are so helpful, great food and competively priced. No regrets coming back

My favourite place to eat. Love the homemade good quality food. Everyone I come with always enjoys their food too. Steak pie always a winner, went for the turkey dinner this time was excellent. Young man serving us was very friendly and made sure we were looked after.

Excellent meal, excellent service and a beautiful view from the window.

Large portion sizes, excellent quality, fantastic value. Although we asked for a window seat when we booked when we arrived they said first come first served for a window seat but there wasn't anyone at the bay window. 🤔 we couldn't have been any further away.

Food and service was great. Roads are a little tight to get here. To get to the restaurant turn left when heading down the road towards the hotel entrance. The car park is behind it.

Excellent in every way. Don't really think it would be easy to improve on.

Sunday lunch with my partner , the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely be back.

Fantastic food and service,not much wonder why they received the best restaurant in the North East last year. Karen's father took a turn due to stress of his wife's death. Cath always loved going to Cove Bay for lunch, the attention Len received by the staff was nothing short of outstanding.Thanks a lot. Certainly be back again.

This is our first visit to Cove Bay Restaurant and it will not be the last. The food, service and ambience were excellent and the views over the North Sea were superb. Can't wait to return.

The cove bay hotel restaurant is a hotel over looking the the North Sea and the center piece of the old fishing village. We spent £75 of 2 people for 3 course meal. The selection were a scottish favourite, and The food was average for area. The restaurant looked very clean (including the bathrooms) and looks to be refurbished recently, and when we were finished with our food we went to the pub area for a cheeky one before heading home. The restaurant looks busy which is signs of a successful hotel. About 83% full Improvement: 3 The food lacked spices which is understandable for kid friendly hotel. It doesn't seem that the chef is challenge at this hotel, the menu is limited, we never saw any creative or unusual dishes, the menu would really benefit with a cove bay signature dish aswell.

My wife and I went for a Sunday lunch with our niece. A lovely place, plenty of seating, good view out to the sea and the food was excellent. Just a pity I'm on a diet or I would've really stuffed myself.

Service was great and I enjoyed the food but it was quite expensive.

Love this place, a window seat is best if you can, looking out towards the sea. Food is excellent and well presented. There were 3 of us for lunch with a starter and main, well worth the money.

Cove Bay Hotel never fails. Consistently good service. Food is consistent. Meat feast hero still the star of the menu. Good specials. Good pints. Great atmosphere overlooking the bay. Awesome.

I took my partner here to try some traditional Scottish food. I was delighted that the food was amazing with rich flavourings and textures that we both loved with amazing views of the North Sea and cove bay.

Popped in for a impromptu lunch with the girls , never disappoints. Service and food was wonderful.

Top notch grub and the staff were efficient and super friendly...made for a great night...I enjoyed it so much I went back the next night!

Popped in for lunch with my son. Immediately the staff were friendly and attentive. I chose the steak pie and chips and my son had fish and chips both were obviously freshly made piping hot and delicious, must say the steak pie was outstanding not a bit of fat be back soon highly recommend.

We went on a Saturday at 5pm with a reservation (unplanned but recommended to us) and they managed to fit us in. Excellent food and very reasonable prices. I would happily go back again and again.
