Delicious! The portion sizes are great and the staff is lovely too.

It's great, tasty and authentic food. It's quite different from your usual Chinese restaurant in a good way. Recommend that you give it a go. Generous portions. Very friendly.

Did not expect this jem in such a backwater.

I had the bbq pork and duck. The pork was good and the duck was definitely grilled since most of the fat had been cooked out of it (good) but it was overcooked. Some of the meat was charred and some was hard and dry. So it was an average for food quality. The staff were very nice people. It was a little over priced for the quality.

Great wee place. Food was fantastic. We will be back.

Staff amazing!!! Food outstanding!!! The level of spice is out of this world... not as aromatic as the Thai food, it's more of the heat that builds over each chop stick rammed into my face is outstanding!!! The owner speaks to each table even though she cooks EVERY dish!!!! Small, fast paced and a secret in Aberdeen!!!!

Very good experience in this little restaurant today. I was slightly disappointed by the mixed vegetable with garlic which were not very tasty. But the service was outstanding, the staff very friendly, helpful, and attentionate. The prices are also very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will likely go back.

If you're keen to try this place out, highly recommend calling to book a table as the restaurant is small and fills up quick! Glad we tried it again after our first experience when they were still in the market; their portions are now bigger and tastier. Their Peking duck is worth trying; succulent and flavourful. Their dim sum are made in house and they are delightful ❤️ they also make their own chilli oil & it certainly packs a punch. The location isn't desirable & you might meet the odd users or two; good to have your wits about you. The restaurant itself is small, so patrons are 'on top of each other' and you can hear everyone's conversation whether you like it or not 😅 Due to the size & popularity, sometimes they can have big groups which leads to a slow service. There is no 'waiting area' if you wanted to stay and wait for a table. Staff are friendly and helpful, very welcoming and seem like they have a few regulars which says a lot. Will miss this place for Cantonese cuisine, always left content & stuffed with delicious food. Would visit again when we find ourselves back in Aberdeen, thank you Taste of Hong Kong team ✨.

Honestly, one of the best restaurants in the city. Hidden down a questionable back alley, you’ll find the most amazing gem. You should probably book as they’re always busy, but the food is well worth it. So affordable for the giant portion sizes and everything tastes fresh and delicious. You almost wish the menu was smaller because there are too many fantastic options. Just go.

Hong Kong-style tea restaurant, called Barbeque Pork Beef Brisket Rice, the beef brisket is delicious and the fruit brisket juice is super delicious. Recommended~ Positivesssss

We were here for dinner today as a family and were lucky to get a table. The service was very friendly and you immediately felt welcome. The food also impressed us. A good selection of dishes that taste convincing. We are happy to recommend it!

Had lunch there and was very impressed. There is a large selection of drinks and food, some of which you could put together yourself. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Almost don’t want to share how good this place is to keep it for myself🤣. Relaxed cafe style atmosphere but the real stars here are the staff and the food. I went yesterday and wondering if it is too soon to go back today! Dumplings to start, great portion of them, recommend the chili sauce with them too. Then the roast duck and bbq pork, absolutely sublime.

Best Chinese food in the UK. Small family run restaurant but food standard deserving of a Michelin star.

Phoned in at 7pm to check for availability and got a quick booking for about 20 minutes later. Food and service both exceptional. Broth absolutely amazing as well, started with Salt N Pepper chicken strips, dumplings, wonton and rice noodles with broth - all amazing, wontons did have a bit of excess pastry but still really nice. For mains we went for honey chilli battered prawns - prawns were prefect sauce was very nice but had a real kick to it so beware if you are used to the sweeter version of it that most places sell. Sweet sour battered chicken was also really nice but the sauce was a little lacking in flavour, almost as if it had been overly balanced and ended up being very neutral with just a slight sour note. Word of warning they are VERY popular so would definitely recommend booking in advance, however they do seem to offer takeaway also.

This small restaurant is through an archway off the main street and maybe does not give its best from the outside, but the food is absolutely fantastic!! It is a street food type cafe with not many tables and is run but a husband, who is the chef and wife front of house. The food tasted amazing, hot, freshly cooked which awakened the taste buds! We love Chinese food, and this was THE BEST we have tasted since we moved to Scotland four years ago!! Please open a restaurant near to us in Inverness!! We shall definitely return just to eat in The Taste of Hong Kong.

The food has a Hong Kong flavor, but it is mainly rice-plate style with not many varieties of side dishes.

It was by far, the best roasted duck we ever had in UK. All food that we ordered - the wanton soup, dumpling, fried rice with beef brisket and the shrimp noodles are all awesome. The staff are friendly and courteous. Definitely coming back.

Good hearty home-cooked-style food (i.e. simple, but tasty!) Location is a bit hidden so you need to look out for it. Staff is very attentive and nice! Loved it!

Beautiful food, lovely service and surroundings, the staff are incredible and will go above and beyond to cater to needs and make you feel welcome, it’s become like a second home. Highly recommend the noodles in soup and homemade dumplings. We’ve never to this day had a bad meal (and we’ve been a lot!)

Me and my wife had an absolutely wonderful lunch here today. Starters were excellent, rice was good, ice tea and main dish absolutely delicious. Only downside: I was recently ill, so didn't manage to finish it all! Will definitely be back.

Heard mixed reviews of this place. So thought I'd go try it out myself. Didn't disappoint but can't say I'd be rushing back. Food was delicious quantity not so great for the price though.

I have been frequenting Taste of Hong Kong ever since they opened in the old location at Aberdeen marketplace. Their food has always been good and quite authentic. Very similar to what you would have in a traditional Hong Kong cafe. The service has been great too, the boss is very friendly and always very happy to assist in any request. Highly recommend!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! Staff were RUDE & RACIST Abrupt when we entered (at lunchtime) then told us that they had no duck because they had a table in the evening that had just reserved it. (Like it’s made of Gold 🤣) Make some more! When I said that perhaps they could make some more for the evening they said if you don’t like it you can leave, which we did. They have since said they apologised WHICH IS A LIE I have also since seen many previous reviews telling of their RUDENESS WTH?! This is how you run a restaurant ?! (dingy restaurant down a back street I grant you, but wow 😂) You should learn some competence and some MANNERS at least.

Blink and you will miss this gem of a restaurant. Very simple surroundings but its all about the food. Full of flavour and some of the best oriental I have eaten. Service is friendly and delivery of the food is very quick. Booking is advised as it is small and very busy.

The best Chinese food in Aberdeen, hands down. The service and ambience is impeccable. A small place, tucked away from sight but once you're in, you'll keep coming back. My personal favourite is the salt and pepper chicken strips, chicken chow mein and curry sauce (with chilli oil of course!)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Hong Kong cuisine place that was hidden away in the midst of a busy city center. One of my favorite dishes at this restaurant is their noodle soup. Taste of Hong Kong will be easily, in my book, a place to have comfort foods, noodles based foods. Staff is as accommodating as ever, happy to see it busy and may it continue in the future

The best roast duck and bbq pork in Aberdeen! We always go home full after dinner from TOHK. Lovely customer service from Teresa and her team, and very accommodating for late notice requests! Definitely recommend for a great dinner! Need to book in advance as usually busy :)
