Cova in South Lanarkshire

Always a great experience dining here - a favourite place for lunch. Tasty food and well priced with some great selections. Also, the cakes are amazing - chocolate eclairs and strawberry tarts especially; they're gigantic!

First time back in 6/7 years. Pleased to see it’s still thriving despite it being let down by the centre. Foods nice, does the job, chips were a bit naff though tastes oily and old. Cheap and good quality food with great service.

Really nice little restaurant situated in EK shopping centre. Would recommend for anyone visiting.

Service was good, food was good, but could have been warmer. But it’s let down by the centre. Lighting out, units empty and needs some TLC around the food court area.

I liked it in here I have been twice now. Staff are friendly, there is a lady with short blonde hair (sorry don't know her name) who is very attentive and provides great service. The food is nice, iv only had sweet things like scones and pancakes, so not tried anything savory. It's really busy, the only thing is if you have a pram it's tight. I believe it's the same as Bistro Six across the way as the staff were wearing t-shirts which said both names so that it much better suited for prams as has a bigger outer space.

Food was nice and came out decently quick however having to wait for 15 minutes just for our table to be cleared and to order a desert is a bit outrageous. Staff were standing chatting at the bar and ignored us while we were trying to indicate that we needed something else. Ordered desert along with another drink and the drink never came. Staff need to be a bit more focussed on tables rather than their plans for the weekend, disappointing.

Was in here on Saturday with my Granddaughter and we were both so disappointed with the service you need to train your staff to be a little bit courteous at the very least, we waited and waited on a sandwich which other tables were getting served burgers and chips who came in after us. The place is overrun with staff but they all just seem to be walking about aimlessly. To end our experience in this cafe I asked for the bill and the young waitress rolled her eyes at me 🙄 sort your staff out Cova we won't be back.😡

Lovely breakfast but a little expensive for bacon £1.50 per slice. You can't have 3 pancakes with one bit of bacon!

Go often for a breakfast. Find it's getting more expensive.

Visited on Tuesday 7th August 2018 for some lunch. We were seated quickly but nobody came to take our order after we got our drinks. We eventually flagged someone over and ordered two courses from the set menu. The tomato soup was great - thoroughly enjoyed it. We waited a further 20-25 minutes and then checked to see if our main course had been forgotten. The waitress confirmed that it has and we had to just ask for the bill to leave as we had an appointment elsewhere.

Amazing food, fairly priced staff very attentive cant fault the service! And their desserts are brilliant Their pineapple cakes are huge stuffed full of cream filling and a thick coat of icing proper good cakes

Lunchtime is always busy and you may have to wait. Space is tight if you've got a buggy. Great selection of hot food and hot and cold drinks. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Being very busy and this was a weekday, service can be a bit slow. However, there is a nice buzz in Cova so time goes fast. Really enjoy the food and the service is great. Highly recommend.

Me and the wife traveled through from the east of Scotland and thought we would give the Cova a try for breakfast 🤔 first expressions look’s the part staff first class 👌 after being seated we had a look 👀 at the menu’ I went for the full Scottish breakfast 🤗 the good lady went for a roll on sausage 🤔on a personal level the big disappointment was if you’re advertising full Scottish breakfast I would expect a wee bit of haggis on my plate 🤷‍♂️ plus the square sausage 😔 it was the cheaper thin beef square sausage that was the only disappointment for the price 🤔 maybe if the Cova got something going with a local butcher ie proper thick steak square sausage and a good quality haggis we would give them a 10 out of 10 review ‘ on my plate 1 slice of bacon’ 1 black pudding’ 1 tattie scone ‘ 1 slice of fried bread ‘ choice of fried or poached egg 5 small mushrooms beans on plate and a hash brown + a chose of brown or white toast + a hot or cold drink £8.50 for full Scottish my point or review is add some decent steak square sausage and a wee bit of haggis 👌 or can someone explain the difference between a full Scottish and a full English 👍 in our opinion we would give the Cova a 8/10 not far away from being decent apart from the smaller details 👌👏👏👏

Great service, very attentive, clean and food was exactly what I would be would looking for - excellent quality, great portion sizes and good range on menu.

Went for breakfast with daughter and son in law. I ordered eggs benediction. No butter on the muffin. No bacon but cold meat. Eggs solid and sauce from a jar. Worst I've ever had. Coffee was nice though. Service was terrible. Would never go back. Daughter said same. Son Inn law left most of his breakfast. £32 for very under par food.

Lovely restaurant.When we're through from Glasgow we always come here.The food is lovely and the staff are always very pleasant and helpful.

Highly recommend this place, the food is fresh and high quality. Particularly recommend the 'Brisket ciabatta, with roasted peppers, and poached egg, awesome. Staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, particularly hard working James!!

Was one of our favourites, but changed Chef and not the same. Brucittas not good too much tomatoes, sandwiches bread too thick. I will never understand why they give you salad with toasties or sandwiches, maybe some crisps or something else 🤔. Don't think we will be back.

What a lovely place to eat. Had lunch with my daughter. The food was delicious, the salad that came with it was lovely and fresh. We were served by a lovely girl, Cara. She was on the ball, efficient, friendly and a big bonus to this lovely eatery. Will definitely go back. My daughter eats there regularly and has always spoke highly of it. Definitely worth five stars

Food was nice but service gone badly downhill. Was in there an hour and a half to have 2 course lunch. Then had to wait while a staff member was reprimanded in front of me for doing the job wrong before I could settle my bill. Time to find a new favourite place in EK sadly. Such a shame as have been a regular since it opened and never been disappointed until now.

Always enjoy a trip to Cova, whether it's for a meal or a tasty warm scone and butter like today. Friendly staff too x

Was in yesterday for a late lunch and got the goats cheese salad. It was delicious and was thinking about licking my plate. Service was good

Visited here today waited at queue for 10 minutes server came to the queue goesto the people behind us takes them to a table we ask her when she comes back what about us she said they had a pram thought I would give them extra room if she had said something to us first we would not have bothered as it is we visit here twice a weekend and spend, £20 went somewhere else will not return went somewhere else today.

Each table and chairs are well disinfected before the next customer. The staff are always polite and helpful and the scones and coffee are super.

I'm afraid that Cova was closed..so we visited a relatively new eating place, named Philly's in East Kilbride..it was fantastic great food and lovely staff..kept strictly to the rules a 5 star review for them..will visit again...

Really nice staff and we got our food very fast. Why I gave 3 stars and not 5 was the food. I had bruschetta, which had warm tomatoes (from the oven) which is very odd. And then we had sweet crepes - the taste was ok but the texture was like rubber, I could barely chew it up. I'll give it a go again, ordering different food.

Great homemade soup! Crepes are amazing, made fresh. Service was good and its a busy place. 2 good lunches with drinks for £20. Great value.

Went in for lunch & saw they did a 2 course deal which just under £8/head, which seemed very reasonable. Young waitress came over & took the order pretty quickly & received drinks. First course (Pate) arrived a little later than I though but didn't really worry me, when that was cleared I expected my main fairly soon after, I think after I watched a couple of other tables arrive, order, eat & leave I knew something was wrong. Had to go to the counter to remind them I still had a main to receive. When it did arrive, it was lovely but by then I wasn't really in the mood for it so left most, paid my bill & left. Overall, the food was very tasty but the service spoiled the experience.

Fantastic cafe in east kilbride shopping centre upstairs near muffin break .really nice take away toastie with a selection of fillings of your choice. Great coleslaw tastes home made and really nice salad with different veg .tea is great too served nice and hot.service excellent really friendly staff.l will be back for sure .you won't be disappointed.The cafe also makes crepes with various fillings and has other foods on menu too such as home made soup etc

Love Cova. One of my favourite cafes to eat in in EK shopping centre. Feels a bit more special than fast food or likes of Cafe Romana. I love their savoury meat filled crepes and desserts!

Girl starting shift put jacket into cupboarx sprayed perfume and then brushed makeup on her face put a pen into her hair never washed her hands and came out to start serving customers. Very dissapointed as i liked cova
