China Chef (Curry House) in South Lanarkshire

Second time here and I was very disappointed. The food we had was honestly not very nice, so much so we actually had to send one of the plates back as the pita bread was so hard I actually thought it was stale. One of.the chicken dishes was so watery and tasteless. We ordered seven tapas and only two of the dishes were nice The service wasnt great either, we sat for ages trying to get someone's attention for a drink. In fact we actually wanted a dessert but it took about 15mins to actually get the menus to look at desserts and then no one came back to us so we just got the waitress attention and asked for the bill. Given this, we will sadly not be back to the Uddingston restaurant again.

Visited for lunch met by a very friendly member of staff who showed us to our pre booked table had read a few reviews that were not too complimentary so was unsure what we would find no need great service and food was lovely the four of us shared a platter for a starter and it was more than enough main meals were all enjoyed too full for desserts finished with coffees will.certainly return

Recently had our wedding at Cornhill Castle. The location is stunning. The castle is also to a high standard and the rooms were amazing, luxurious and comfortable (especially the honeymoon suite). The staff went over and above and made sure the wedding went smoothly and that we were looked after at all times. We can't thank the staff enough, they really added a personal touch and made us relax knowing everything was in hand. Rooms, service and location all 5 stars. Unfortunately I have to remove 1 star as the food was not good. We paid extra for the beef and the majority of the guests have given feedback that it wasn't good. Groom was served an overcooked end piece which was barely edible so it was sent back. The next piece was edible but for a beef fillet at a wedding, just being edible is not really what we were hoping for. Other guests did say theirs was overcooked, tough and tasteless. The veg and brownie were also not to a high standard. We regret paying the extra charge for an upgraded meal. We advise future weddings to stick to the standard menu.
