Came in and staff seemed happy I gave my order in went up to the counter and ordered I ordered a fish cake and a donner meat and chips I went outside and checked I had everything and I looked at the fish cake and it was soggy falling apart I doubt that it was fresh at all I paid £10 for 3 items and half of it went into the bin went in to complain about the fish cake the staff fixed it but started laughing and muttering stuff under their breath and just being rude and it was the worst experience of my life it was terrible food terrible service and just absolutely diabolical take away don't waste you time or money going here get a good takeaway somewhere else!!!

Usually i have a large cod which is very good but yesterday we tried kebabs and they were pretty good too well done keep it up 👍

The best Haddock & chips I think I ever had !!!!!!! Cooked specially for me.

Excellent in all areas portions are really good and the fish is cooked fresh while you wait which is well worth it as the size of it, quality and taste can't be matched around here. Paying cash is absolutely no problem especially as there is a cash point next door to the shop 😊 The staff are always friendly and welcoming and it is so nice to see such a spotless premises. Fantastic fish and chips. Had a short wait for the fish and chips to be cooked but it was definitely worthwhile. Fish was so fresh and broke apart in large white slices. Chips not greasy and perfectly cooked. Nice to see sensible portion size too. Definitely worth a visit.

This Chippy needs to buck it's ideas up. The portions you get for the price are not great. The chips were ok but not great and what business doesn't accept card in 2022??? Will be finding somewhere else to go in the future.

The fish and chips were tasty than I tried elsewhere. Just a suggestion, if you accept card, your customers will double. The world is changing so fast and you have to embrace it. I know the transactions get charged, but accepting cards will get you more customers and you would employe more staff and then hell yeah, the Business will boom. I will be coming back to try your Burger this time.

Was in the shop ages before they took my order. I ordered a large fish and chips. It took ages to cook and the fish was so small my four year old and 18 month old demolished it between them so I only got to have chips. Disappointed as a large fish and chips from elsewhere has always fed us all with some left.

Since the old owners are back, the food is outstanding! Every thing is always cooked to perfection, fresh and tasty. The chips are amazing. The shop is always clean, staff are always very friendly and happy. I would recommend the haddock - Best fish I’ve had for years!

Got told they couldn’t swap a children’s side for cheese on the chips “because the register doesn’t allow it” I argued that they could just do but nope they can’t apparently. Haven’t got time for stupid places like this.

Only tried after family recommended. Has improved since changing owners. Fish was perfect and chips were good. Price reasonable.

Tried to call them many times to give feedback instead of a review. No reply. £5 for a kebab that’s so small, in comparison to the size of kebabs you get from other places. Definitely not worth the money. Really shy on the salad, really shy on the sauce, when you ratio to the meat portion given, which isn’t that much. Curry sauce, one of the worst I’ve ever tasted. I hate wasting money and an appetite on food. In time where business are going under, now it the most important time to assure you’re at the peak of your performance.

This place is absolutely spotlessly clean!!!! Ive never seen a cleaner take away anywhere, ever!! Very reassuring in todays climate.

Great Chips, good fish sizes. This place went seriously downhill for a few years under new ownership. I'm happy to say the previous owners have returned and even happier to say they still make great chips. If you've been put off by the quality of the food recently, I suggest giving it another go.

Everything was nice and fresh they are very good.

It's not so horrible as everyone says. I was with 2 kids and another adult and only spent £15 but was more than enough to satisfy us for. Portion sizes were quite good and quality was ok for the price paid. Staff are attentive and friendly. Can't complain

Sold me fish and chips told me its cod its never seen cod.... Dont taist nice at all .im exspecting food posing from the bit i ate.. and well hungrey aswell thanks for nothing will never visit again. . I think 1 star is to many.

First time going to this chippy after it being highly recommended. Was a great decision to go, excellent food and friendly staff :)

Firstly I have never been into the chip shop not to be told we are waiting for chips, I went in to buy fish just fish waited 25 mins, got home started eating and it tasted very bad so I left it I put it down for my dogs who sniffed and walked away, today I have been violently sick with severe stomach cramps and the sh1ts needles to say I will not walk in this shop again, they are more interested in selling sweeties and other stuff rather than bothering about the quality of their food, my advice before you eat let your dog have a sniff if they do a 360 then take it back! bloody shocking!

Got a bag full of black chips yesterday, used this chippy for years but time for a change.

Another chip shop that pays people for fake positive reviews. Awful, over priced garbage. Yes you can probably get worse chips in Coventry but you won't get worse service. Avoid!! You have been warned.

This place went down in my estimation a while back when there was a change of ownership, but now the food and portion sizes are excellent, so I am happy to give this place 5 stars now. There can be a queue at peak times, but that's only an indication of the demand for the food.

Great chips must use good spuds,not floury and dry which is what you normally get when chippys fry in that awful frylite oil. Extensive choice of other items, love the kebab meats esp the tikka. Only downside is the fish .The haddock is a bit strong in taste and smell, and the cod is RIDICULOUSLY small...and i mean RIDICULOUSLY small about 9 inches by 2 inches. So much so, that I get my fish somewhere else and the remainder from here.So. Great chips, awful fish!!
