Food was great as always and excellent service from Erika!

What a shame! Having been to this restaurant many times,usually ordering the fixed price menu, and always enjoying the meal. This time both has sea bass, which was curled up at the edges,from sitting to long,and the sauce was nonexistent. We will visit again and hopefully find things back to normal standard!

Visited Côte today, it’s a favourite for my husband and I. The food is always excellent and the staff equally so. Conor and Tulip are always very professional and have good humour too which is always warmly received. You won’t go wrong eating here. Thank you folks.

Had a nice Sunday lunch time with Côte. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was really tasty, I had the minute steak and it was very flavourful. The calimari was a very generous portion!

We had a delicious & affordable family lunch at Cote in Welwyn Garden City today. Huge thanks especially to Tulip who served us & was incredibly helpful & went the extra mile even when we asked to change tables & when we made a mistake with our wine order. All 6 of us got a free round of drinks thanks to a Cote January offer, so along with the fixed price menu it was a very affordable lunch. Thank you, Cote & Tulip, for a wonderful family lunch & happy memories!

Great experience! came down to visit a friend and we popped out to eat here. Food and service was impeccable.

We have been many times to the Welwyn Garden restaurant and today the service was slow. Also there was no "orange sauce" (just 4 small pieces of orange) with the duck confit and virtually no cream with the creme caramel. The menu states that that these dishes come with sauce/cream. Food was otherwise very tasty but for 3 we had a bill of just short of £100! (only one small beer as far as alcohol was concerned).

After a long period, we noticed a big difference in quality and quantity. Everything has done down, apart from the prices.

We were a table of 4 and had been asked to arrive earlier than 2pm booking which we did. Slow service but correct when waiter arrived. Our Prix Fixe starters were OK but chicken dish rather tough and luke warm. They had run out of bananas for crepe desert so we had very thin slices of strawberry on cold pancakes instead - not good. We didn't complain as would have been embarrassing but there was a general air of short staff and wanting to empty the restaurant quickly after lunch service. Have been to better branches but hope this doesn't signal general decline in usually reliable bistro type food.

Very expensive, and quality appears to have gone down the pan. The Bretón chicken was very dry and now served without sauce. The beef bourginon was overcooked and dried out. The wait staff were too busy taking down the Xmas decorations to serve our table. Feels like all the signs of a restaurant chain in terminal decline.

Hard to understand their heavily accented english when ordering,apparently some items unavailable from 5pm !!! not at all like a french restaurant overpriced wine for the quality proposed this will be the last time I come here

Nico and his team deliver a first class service, we are regular customers because of this reason, the food is always amazing as well as the service from all members of staff, whenever we visit we are always extremely well received and made to feel special, I highly recommend a visit to the WGC branch they are a credit to the Côte brand

Generous portions of delicious food. Not a cheap venue but not ridiculously overpriced either. Friendly and patient staff. Clean and well stocked toilets. The tables and seating are spacious, so you can spread out and enjoy!

Quick and surprisingly reasonably priced. Was £35 for two adults and a child all having hot food for brunch plus coffee and hot chocolate. Gluten free menu has basically everything except the french toast and pastries.

Service and ambience were the two things that stood out to me here. Erika, the waitress, was always attentive and made sure I had an enjoyable dining experience. The seasonal decor for Christmas was just enough and provided a great feel for the place. The price to quality ratio for the food was below average, in my opinion. The crab maison appetizer would have been better with more capers and less avocadoes. The steak frites were alright, nothing to rave about but executed well. All in all a decent place if you're specifically craving French cuisine in the WGC area!

I am impressed by the consistent high quality of the produce and cooking at Côte in Welwyn Garden City. I also commend the training regime that must be in place that provides highly qualified and professional staff. Keep up the good work.

Quality food and good atmosphere. Table was a little small and knocked off half a star because there was mint on my dessert. Picky I know either love or hate mint, without the mint the Clementine mess was excellent!

We decided to go to this restaurant after doing some research. So glad we did! We didn’t have a reservation. We were seated right away. We started out with the steak and also the baked beetroot. I also ordered a Vineyard Spritz and my husband ordered a glass of wine. The steak tartare came with a raw egg on top and two fried anchovies? on top. It came with two thin slices of bread. We mixed it all together minus the bread and put it on the bread. It was so delicious. I only get steak tartare in Europe. It is very hard to get in the United States but I have found it in one restaurant there. My husband HATES beets but these were so good, he even enjoyed them. Baked beet with like a middle eastern type crouton on top and maybe some apple and shallot. Also some type of yogurt? sauce on the bottom. Whatever it was, it was very good.We then proceeded with the confit of pork belly. The first words out of my husbands mouth was “Oh my God”. The pork belly was crispy on the top and delicious on the inside served on top of cabbage with a sauce. It also came with a small dish of potatoes. Rich and creamy. My husband had another glass of wine. It was absolutely delicious. The service throughout was excellent. It wasn’t too loud inside, no blaring music. Wonderful! Highly recommended. Loved the food….all the food.

Joanna greeted us with a very welcoming smile as we entered the restaurant. She was very cheerful, helpful and professional throughout our visit. Joanna showed a real interest in her customers and was keen to ensure we were happy with everything as the meal proceeded. Her service and attention to detail, as well as her affable nature and lovely sense of humour, definitely enhanced our experience at this restaurant. We cannot recommend certain dishes as they did not come up as a choice, but we would have done if they had. The food was delicious, desserts as well, and also the wine. Thank you Joanna for your thoughtful, professional approach and natural affinity with customers.

Ordered butternut squash tartin. Just a round peice of flakey pastry, with butternut squash on top, and a few dollops of goats cheese. Goats cheese was whipped like cream. Was so small, more like a starter. Not the least bit filling. Served with green salad, over £15 for this. I did let the waitress know how poor the food was, she took it off the bill.

Yesterday my fiancée and I came for breakfast. The atmosphere is amazing ,but what made our experience better , was Dana. She was very helpful, expalined everything we asked her and very smile person. Definitely will be back for more food and drinks and waiting for Dana's perfect service again.

We booked a table at Cotè at Welwyn to celebrate my Mum and Stepdad's 25th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately there were a number of issues that arose during the evening that spolit what was meant to be a lovely celebration. It took forever to order drinks and food and even longer for them to be brought to us. A general lack of attention by the staff made it very difficult to to get everything we needed. We had purposefully pointed out my Mum and Stepdad so that the dessert plates could be decorated but when the desserts came out the wrong ones had Happy anniversary on them which was hugely disappointing and embarrassing. The total bilI I thought was excessive for what we had and the general lack of attention certainly did not warrant the service charge that was added to the bill. Due to the occasion I did not want to make a scene but I would not be in a hurry to visit another Cote restaurant.

The Cote is an excellent restaurant in Welwyn Garden City. The Service was good and we weren't rushed. The food was really great and arrived reasonably quickly. The Fish Parmentier was particularly good!

We have been to this restaurant quite I few times now. We usually choose from the fixed price menu at lunchtime. Perfect size for us, as both have small appetites. Always enjoy the food, and the staff helpful and pleasant.

The food here was really good. I had the config duck a l'orange, which was so flavourful. The duck literally fell off the bone, it was so tender. The drinks were good too - mostly I can't get a decaf espresso martini, but they did one for me! The service was great too - the waitress went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. There's a lovely little outside area that we sat in too, which felt like being abroad. Would definitely recommend!

Best croissant I've had in my life. Hollandaise sauce lacked a bit of flavour but the quality of everything else was perfect.

The service was good but the food was very disappointing. Not the cooking per se but the quality overall. Tasteless calamari and very bland salmon. All for £90 plus between us with wine. Won’t go again

Came for Sunday Brunch. Service very slow and unattentive. Food was ok although not all the correct dishes came out and were only warm. Hopefully, it will be better next time if we return.

It was our first time trying Cote. The food was really tasty and good price too for the quantity. Everyone was super friendly and attentive throughout the dinner which made it a great experience. This restaurant is located on the city centre of Welwyn which is great if you travel by train. Parking can be tricky during weekdays if you bring your car.

This is my favourite place this year. Helped by being a sunny day, staff are very nice and friendly food was enjoyable atmosphere great looked the background music

This wonderful spot in the most peaceful location in the heart of Welwyn Garden City centre really didn't disappoint! From the customer experience, to the food, and in particular the warm staff, everything was perfectly executed. Highly recommend the weekend sharing platter for variation, but the real star of the show was the duck! Can't wait to return.

I am so impressed by the kindness of the staff here. We read the online menu wrong and thought we could get French toast after 12. We turned up after 1pm and the Chef Lias kindly served us French toast. Strongly recommend!!

Came to have lunch here and left pretty dissatisfied. Ordered a baguette as a starter and wasn’t given a side plate till half way done with my starter. For main I ordered a sirloin steak medium rare with bearnaise sauce. My steak was served almost well done with a very underwhelming “herb salad” consisting of wilted parsley. The bearnaise was served almost cold hardly room temperature or warm. Overall very disappointing and personally I wouldn’t recommend

In town and wanted somewhere a bit more special than usual for lunch, great vegetarian selection (more so than in France!) - big appetite needed for the lunch for 2 deal, friendly and attentive team - very good

We were greeted by the manager who opened the door for us and welcomed us in. We were given a table of choice. The meal and drinks were delicious. A complimentary glass of Prosecco from the Manager went down a treat, a lovely gesture. We opted for the Steak Soirée evening meal, with fillet steaks prepared perfectly. The staff were lovely too and attentive, and our food well presented & came on time. A lovely Birthday treat for my wife . A special thank you to the Manager, and Becky, Ren & Salma, for being so attentive and making our occasion very special .

I think this was one of the best meals I had in the UK. I'm very happy to have found a great restaurant that serves delicious food so close to our home.

The food is good, however the portions are too small. For the quality of the food I would say the menu is overpriced. I don't mind paying more if the food is amazing, but this is not the case. I have to point out that the charcuterie board is a joke... It's very small, there's only 2 small and sad slices of baguette and once again the quality of the ham was disappointing. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is good. If it wasn't for the big gap between price and quality I would be back. But in this case I don't think I will.

Our waitress Natalia was superb and made us feel so welcome.

A family of 7 went to lunch on Easter Sunday. It was very busy when we got there. We didn’t wait too long for our drinks and starters, but the mains. It’s probably because of the special day. A saxophone player was walking around the tables, creating unique atmosphere. All the dishes we ordered were all tasty and worth trying except for the side dish of tomato salad, which was too plain, my husband said. I had a tuna steak Nicoise salad and it was really tasty with tapenade and anchovy. This place is perfect for a large family or party.

The food was delicious and cooked well with balanced flavours. The service was equally superb. We had been to a different location before and my MIL really enjoyed the tartiflette. We noticed that it wasn’t on the menu anymore, so inquired about it. We were told that they had just discontinued it the day before, but they still had some ingredients leftover and the chef would be happy to whip it up for us. We were really pleased with the staff’s hospitality. Dessert was decadent, especially the chocolate fondant, which had a molten core. Even the mini chocolate fondant from the café gourmand dessert selection had an oozing centre. Top notch. They also let me switch out my ice cream flavour to chocolate so that I could have even more chocolate with my lava cake.

The Welwyn Garden City restaurant is always a delight to visit. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, it’s always a treat. We usually visit for breakfast, this was our first time for lunch. We will definitely be visiting for lunch again

We went there for breakfast. Our order was served after 55 minutes and we were not happy with the dishes either. Very poor quality and small portions.
