Best breakfast in the Rhondda valley! They do a build your own breakfast, with little check sheets on the table so you can pick exactly what you want. The service is great, really friendly staff and the welcoming atmosphere you'd expect!

Excellent little cafe, food cooked fresh. It also has sweets in big jar to buy by the quarter brings back childhood memories

Bopa n' Bampi's. Love this place. A real old school cafe. Shame they're not allowed to serve steamed pies. Only issue is a lack of toilet facilities there, which is a shame, considering the older customers that may need that service.

My wife and I visited today, our first visit to Treorchy. We popped in for breakfast and it was excellent, service very friendly, prices very reasonable, food was excellent and plenty of it. I would recommend this venue to anyone well worth a visit.

My partner and I decided to take our son and his parents who have recently moved to Trealaw to the FREE Splash Pool in Treorchy. Before going to the pool we decided to visit the Cosy Cafe for cooked breakfasts. It was like stepping back in time to the 1980s with the retro decor and booth seating. There was a great breakfast menu with the option of choosing 5, 7 or 9 items from a sheet of paper. My mother in-law and I chose five items and my partner and father in-law had the nine items. We ordered scrambled egg on toast for our son. At the cafe a lovely lady took our breakfast and drink orders. Our breakfasts arrived at the table within about 15 minutes. Our food was nicely presented, the food was cooked perfectly and the sausages were delicious. We would recommend a visit because the cafe was very clean, the prices were fair, we received a warm welcome and the food tasted lovely. After breakfast we made our way to the Splash Pool, which was magnificent and we had great fun.

The décor is reminiscent of the valley cafés of the 60s. Excellent breakfast, well cooked, well presented and very reasonably priced

Food was good, a bit of a wait, but that was because it was cooked fresh and it was busy - always a good sign. Friendly service. 😀

This was like visiting a cafe from the 1970's and I say that in a positive way as I love a retro vibe. Two cups of tea with a little china jug of milk, two jam filled welsh cakes and a square of victoria sponge cake came to £3.20 which is just phenomenal. Where I come in Hertfordshire you would be lucky to get the tea for that! Two older ladies serving- one wasn't very friendly if I'm honest, but the other one was and they were efficient in serving and at those prices well you cannot complain. I loved how the cafe also served sweets in jars and the breakfasts looked good and again amazingly well priced.

Can't fault the breakfast. You pick what you want using a peace of paper which lists what they have (for breakfast). 5, 7 and 9 piece breakfast at reasonable prices. Food always comes hot, tastes good and as said, reasonable price. Not entirely sure what the rest of the food is like but if the breakfast is anything to go by, it'll be pretty good.

Visited recently with a friend. I know it’s a popular place for many, but it’s not my cup of tea. On the subject of tea, I had a cup of hot water with the tea bag on the side. I guess things have moved on elsewhere. Decent value to be fair and friendly staff, and I got my mother in law a quarter of sweets so overall it wasn’t a bad visit! Overall I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Every group of school friends had that one Nan who was adopted by everyone. You know the one, who happily treated all their grandchild's friends as their own. You probably called her Nan too and ate space raiders and ham sandwiches on her G plan furniture. That feeling of being so warmly welcomed into another home is exactly what cosy cafe is made of. The exterior hasnt changed in years but this only adds to the nostalgia alongside the kitsch knitted teacosies for sale in the window. It doesnt pretend to be anything its not, you won't find avocado or frappucinos on the menu but thats not why people come here. Breakfast is ordered on little paper slips, you put the quantity you want and its priced by number of items. Simple and cheerful its exactly what youd expect. The prices are also nicely nostalgic, a very pleasant surprise if youre used to other cafes. On leaving dont forget to complete your childhood timewarp by purchasing a paper bag of sweets from behind the counter. Still measured in quarters with a good retro selection its the perfect way to extend that fluffy nostalgia into the day ahead.

A really good breakfast and at a reasonable price. They don't have toilets which is a bit of a pain. It's a nice old school, no frills café.

£3.50p for Sunday lunch lovely dinner lovely staff lovely old fashion Italian cafe as was. I usually have lamb and Jill has chicken and really quick service you have to book in advance for the dinner plenty of vegetables nice gravy and if you want mint sauce for your lamb ☺☺☺☺

Excellent in all ways, no better place to have a breakfast - friendly and such value. You tailor select your breakfast with a tick sheet so you only have as much as you want. The bacon was really nice. A bigger cup of tea option would be nice

Unless I was served by ghosts this place is not closed. It is simply a safe offering basic food at basic prices. The old owners were never overly unfriendly but we're complacent. This should change now.

Called in here after a very strenuous walk in the Rhigos mountains. Had surveyed some other cafes in the High Street but decided on this one. Greeted by a very friendly young lady behind the counter who told us what the different items on the menu consisted of. We went for the salad with warm, crusty bread which was a good choice as the salad was made up with the usual but also peppers, sweetcorn, potato salad and coleslaw. Food and drinks were brought to us upstairs. The cafe was busy, had a nice feel about it and was well decorated.Good value too - for 2 large bowls of salad with crusty bread and 2 drinks the bill came to £15

Great place to eat! The prices are cheap, but the food is great. The bacon in particular, apparently from a local butcher, is fantastic. Recommended.
