Costa Coffee in St. Helens

The staff here are really helpful and so lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them and you get service with a smile, food and coffee always good and a lovely relaxed atmosphere 🙂

It's a Costa ,, 🤷🏼‍♂️ Tables abit dirty when we visited, but was late on a busy Saturday... Lovely friendly staff 😊,, so not really moaning,, management,, need to sort more staff,, then one has chance to clean up.

Every time I go there and there’s a man with glasses who works there makes me feel very uncomfortable. It feels like his laughing at my English language and makes funny faces. My English is perfectly fine. He should be given training about his consumer services skills because every time he does that I feel terrible all day. After I pay for my food and coffee which is not cheap I don’t even enjoy it as I feel upset. Just one question how many languages can he speak ? He should be concentrating on the cleanliness because every time he works there it’s messy. Toilets are dirty, tables not wiped and coffee grounds everywhere behind the counter.

just look how she place the cake for two people?. mess on working zone. plenty of plates and open milks not placed in fridge after selling to the customers? cooffee was o right thats why 3 stairs.

Always a great Cappuccino at this store .. I spilt mine everywhere, the staff were brilliant, made sure no one was burnt or covered in the coffee, cleaned it up quickly,and replaced my drink .. Great service.

Coffee was OK. Bur the cutlery was dirty. Used the toilet facilities and wasn't impressed with the cleanliness.

It's a little slow but good service.

Big selection of sandwiches and cakes, very comfortable seating area, would definitely recommend

Expensive but worth it. As this is one of the lager Costas in my area I prefer it as it has plenty of seats. As long as you don't mind looking out the window to a carpark. It can get noisy so if you are looking for somewhere to talk with friends or colleagues then bear that in mind.

Costa is Costa no matter which one you visit. The only difference between them is the attitude of the staff (and service) and how many are on shift to keep the tables cleared 🤷

Coffee cool lack of food choices

When we arrived the place wasn’t that busy however we had to sit down on a table that had dirty dishes and hadn’t been wiped. There was 4 other tables in the same condition and the tables that were clean were in an unsuitable location or too big for our pram/high chair. By the time we left there were more dirty tables as not one had been cleaned

Grab a cup of coffee when done with your shopping at the mall. You can sit a minute before you head off for home.

Don't go here if its busy. Chances are they will tell you to sit down and they will bring your drink over, then forget your drink and question if you actually ordered it.

Sat here now, massive que. Asked for an Almond latte for my partner was told don't do Almond. No alternative given people in the que much more helpful than the assistant. The costa drive through gives a much better service imo. Lots of cups and trays left on the table.

On this absolutely freezing day, today the place was lovely and warm & not too busy. It was very pleasant to sit quietly & drink my coffee after the rush of shopping.

Just a comment about the furnishings looking tired. Gave 4 for food I only had a muffin very nice and moist.

As per usual Tables are cleared but filthy with crumbs and greasy fingerprints, as are the seats.

Toilets not a patch on the one in church street not very big

Under-staffed - Place always feels dirty compared to other shops and the tables are never clean. VERY busy today and there was only 4-5 members of staff on.

Food and drink really nice and hot but everytime we eat there, we have to get a cloth to wipe our tables, the floor is disgusting. I do think they need a staff member specifically for this as there is people in and out all day long. Also, at managers discretion I was able to use my blue light card up until recently when they refused this. We were not happy as we use this place all the time and has now put us off going there, so has my staff.

Very busy, staff under pressure. Didn't get what I asked for among other customers and then finally got what I asked for plus an extra coffee I didn't order! Tried to give it back but staff wouldn't take it.

Because I had asked for a decaf cappuccino, and they gave me a normal and on top of that I am seven months pregnant and really after that drink my condition worsened!

Awful tasting coffee. Weak with the consistency of dirty dish water. I have no idea why people drink here. It's my first visit to a Costa Coffee and definitely my last. It was only nice to sit outside with my daughter in the sunshine but that's about it. Real coffee connoisseurs would probably balk at the idea of coming anywhere near this establishment.

Always enjoy a coffee at Costa bit of shopping first and then a nice sit outside people watching and relaxing.
