Costa Coffee in Hillingdon

Relatively clean and modern. The train was on time unlike UK trains...

Had to ask for a refund. Can’t say that I have high expectations from a coffee shop at the airport, but this was way beyond even low expectations. I visited the place on the 30th of December. It wasn’t busy when I came there late afternoon, there was only one person in front of me, but then in parallel another person came straight to one of the baristas, skipping the queue, and asked for help with his phone/chip. At the end one of the baristas was helping for 15 minutes to a customer with his phone which caused a delay in actually proceeding with my order and other Costa customers. Because of this mini chaos, more people join the queue and only one barista was working, making attempts to make orders by walking around the second barista (the one helping with somebody’s phone) for getting hot water/milk etc., at that point it was already less manageable in terms of the number of orders, unfortunately, so they didn’t manage to make a simple cappuccino…first it was made like Americano, and the second time it was made with one fourth of foam and too milky, not as usual Costa cappuccino. I appreciate them helping visitors of the airport with their phones, at the same time it did affect the operational capacity of the Costa and its actual customers

The nightshift employee Minu and awal are very very lovely people and very nice. They treat us very well and i will say they deserve some kind of bonus. Thank you guys for the kind services 🥰

Used this Costa for years. Current staff members are very very pleasant and jolly and nice including the manager. They always go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The new staff from other terminals are coming and you can see they’re not as friendly but need to get used to the team. T4 Costa is the most pleasant between all the terminals. Well done to the whole team! Always get a smile when going there!

Very rude service they gave wrong order didn’t try correct it and didn’t even apologise

As I stepped out of the arrival hall Heathrow Terminal 4, Costa Coffee caught my attention. The place was buzzing with customers. The food they served was tasty, making it a popular choice among travelers.

Such a nice! Good way experiencing drinking coffee the journey a head much like the journey of life. It sometimes in life is good idea to rest and enjoy coffee. It help if it is at a costa (del sol would be even better). The Tuna Melt was as much tuna as is was melt. Much coffee goodness safe flight!!

Dirty table that we cleaned so WE did and was then aggressively confronted and abused by a team member - Promodi. Costa please refresh customer training please.

Nice coffee shop, was impressed at how well the staff handled the constant heavy flow (being at an airport and all) of people in at all times. Seating areas could be configured to handle larger groups, and empty tables and floor was quickly patrolled by staff to keep everything tidy. Quick service (prepared food) fridge was well stocked!

I often find myself in Terminal 4 and invariably end up at Costa. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the service is good even in busy times. Keep up the sterling work, which I'm sure can be thankless at times, and Bravo!

A great place to chill and relax either while catching your breath for the next flight or after arrival.

Only one person was serving the whole cue. Of course he was doing his best but I strongly believe he needed a hand for the cue.

The staffs are so rude specially an Asian lady, instead of politely and tell me where the queue is because there was 2 counters, she just raise her voice in front of everyone, thinking this is Asia not UklK with no manners at all and start shouting ,not even a greeting and said you need move over if u want order, how u professional that is,I didn't ask for 5 star but at least good morning or excuse me please may you move over would be a lot better!!!!!

Was served by a barista called Chris. Very rude and ignorant. Asked him for a price of a product, kissed his teeth and then told me, when I heard the price I said no that’s fine I won’t take it then, he embarrassed me infront of the que by raising his voice and saying “I’m holding up and blocking the line”. I then told him to fix this attitude as this is no way to talk to customers and also asked for his name, he then started saying “sorry were short staffed. I’m feeling pressured”. Feeling pressured is no excuse to have attitude. If you can’t work under pressure, DO NOT work in this kind of environment. Very unhappy with the service I received here

I was laying here at 12 am on one of the cushioned booths. I was excited that I’d be able to sleep and rest since my flight was delayed a whole day so I’d be here for two nights. An employee told me the seats aren’t for laying down that they are for “sit up only.” It’s dead and now 1 am. I don’t see a problem with laying down if there isn’t anyone around. Is this a joke? Am I being Punk’d? I even bought something from the cafe so I can be here. I’m not hurting anyone, just resting. I’m considering going speak to a manager and see if the booth is actually “sit down only.” The staff is very rude at the counter as well and clearly like to gossip.

Not a bad place to buy a cup of coffee and wait for your family arriving... Great staff members though....

Extremely rude staff Theres a little chinese lady that wears glasses watch out for her. She treated me as a customer very bad she was definitely racist because she took orders as usual but when I handed her my money she started running through the U.V. light like I was some little thief and embarrassed me in front of everyone when I had like a WAD of cash on me like £3000 I was there picking up my wife all I wanted was a bottle of water. After the incident I even watched from the arrival gates as she served customers and not once did she put any of the customers notes through the machine. She was racially profiling me. I had no time to get her name but I will be definitely putting in a formal complaint about this costa.

I order a cortado and receive a cold coffee instead and when asked to get it hot cortado staff just mix together an extra shoot to get it hot.😲 what a start on Christmas Day 🎄

The most disgusting Costa Coffee I’ve ever visited . Most tables were dirty and the chairs were disgusting with marks and stains all over them. Staff need training on clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness. They also need to order new chairs needed urgently. Avoid!

The foods here are not different from costas outside of the airport. If you need to be served, you can find the staff on right hand side of the table, they are friendly, although I do get a lesson that I have to wait until the staff finished the last servive to get a spoon (I don't know if you need to join tje queue again for a napkin). Thank you, the young white man with zappa mustache. That was really professional and impressive.

Wasn’t a good experience on the departure side and not sure if it just happened to be just that particular day or if things are usually this way. The service at the counter was very lackluster and unorganized when it came to the checkout process. I wasn’t told how much my total was and when to pay and we were just standing there. I also wasn’t given one of the things I ordered and had to reach for it myself and ask how much my total was and when to pay. The seating area and tables were not cleaned. I ordered a tea and my tea cup had stuff all over the top cover. Discover is not an accepted form of payment here. Positives about this place is the view of the runway.

Rude member of staff stopped to argue with me when I told him they had served a lady who had come after me. He stopped to explain the ideology behind 2 queues both of which were empty at the time I walked in. Nobody assisted me or called me over. However the lady was greeted immediately. send your ladies in to get the coffees fellas or you will be schooled by Assaf about how 2 queues work. Don’t waste your time with these cowboys, put my panini back on the shelf and Strolled yo give my money to Nero where the guys knew how to talk to customers. Will not even bother looking in the direction of this Costa again!

Good coffee and comfortable chairs

I usually like cost coffee around 4 p.m. today, so I stopped by before returning home. I went into the entrance and ordered a coffee for two women on the right, but I didn't ask for the size and asked for dessert No. 3, but they didn't listen to me and exchanged jokes. They were joking because they thought I wouldn't understand. It's so unkind. Finally, another dessert came out, and then I went back to the cs and asked to change it to the original The cost difference was only fifty cents, but there was no refund. I think fifty cents is his value. If you come back to England and stop by the airport, you won't come back.

Over priced, noisy and tables uncleared.

Food and drinks are as expected but grumpy rude staff spoil the experience, top it up with dirty tables, what more can I say?

The latte was nice, but lukewarm. I like hot beverages to actually be hot.

Practical if you wanna grab a coffee while waiting for your flight . Quick service. Friendly staff. Fair prices but they have more limited choices when it comes to the dessert display though ... just to have your caffeine daily dose .

TLDR; go upstairs there is cleaner and nicer Cafe Nero there. Recommended by MET Police. The person who served me coffee had a problem with understanding my order, but was very nice otherwise. It is the shame that her colleague wasn't. About 10 minutes after sitting a cleaner showed up and demanded to move. Asked if I speak English, when I was slow to respond, trying to come up with an answer. Ask/shouted if I am stupid. He himself spoke in Indian accented manner. I protested against such treatment, and said that I won't move and told him he can clean after I finish my coffee. He decided to call the security, the security guard invited himself to my table. He told me to leave the cafe or he is going to call the police. In the end his supervisor named Mina Ahmed came and asked me to leave. She seemed nice enough, didn't shout at least. I asked her if I can have a name of the security guard and the cleaner. She refused to give them to me. Then another security guard came yelling his head off. He took my coffee from me. I asked him can I have my coffee back, and does he need to shout? I said that this situation is ridiculous. He told me if I don't leave it will get even more ridiculous because he is calling the police. I decided to leave. He released the hostage but the coffee got cold and I had to throw it away while leaving in shame. "Why are you standing up?" One of the security asked when I was leaving. I sat outside the coffee shop. After few minutes Police showed up. They asked me about the situation. I told them. They recommended café Nero upstairs. Cleaner, cheaper, more polite.

Very interesting - This Costa coffee is the best I've been to in an airport! Probably by more luck than judgement. Got there in a big que waiting to be served when the lady on the next till opened up spontaneously, it just so happened I was on the end of the line so she called me over 🙋 I placed my order and with a friendly demeanor I got served two huge coffee's. Very friendly and reasonable price too, thanks.

Well let's start with the service, staff more interested in having a chat. Ordered a straight coffee it was luke warm when I pointed this out the staff stated it's the machine. Found a seat with high chairs most of the chairs had broken rails. Come on Costa surely you can do better, the best thing at this site is the view behind the counter!!!, other that give a miss, there's a Pret nearby

Costa cafe in Terminal 4 had very rude staff. Wouldn't serve me and said it was closed but they were still seriving customers later. Very upsetting experience.

So so. As for the airport very bad and slow service. Apparently management is working on bonus as they cut hours leaving the store heavily understaffed. Expected more from Costa especially the airport one.

This I found to be the ONLY convenient place to sit and be refreshed before carrying on to my final destination after a long flight. There are other shops where food can be bought, but nowhere else within Heathrow Terminal 4 Arrivals, is there a place to be seated. The customer service was satisfactory and I got exactly what I ordered and it met my expectations.

Rude service, dirty environment. Barista chatted with their friend for 10 minutes while an increasing number of people stood waiting for drinks – in an airport, where people are in a rush. Tables, floors and chairs were filthy. Coffee was okay.

Coffee tastes of, well hot water. Sandwich looks like it has been on show all day. But when that's all they got and you are right for time. Couldn't go back as I had waited 10 minute to get served, and the queue was even longer than when I joined it. Not enough staff, offered a paper cup as they said they don't have time to clean cups? But there is 2 workers in a side room drinking coffee. Not a standard I'm used to with Costa

Last night I bought two chai lattes from Costa at Heathrow Terminal 4, the chai lattes were worst I ever had no test and badly made.. no great experience.... I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Horrendous service. Ordered something simple and two servers just stared at each other confused. Eventually got my order but had my order thrown down onto the counter, no thank you, no goodbye. Not expected from costa, never had a bad experience till today.

Disgusting 'toasted' sandwich, if thats what costa call it these days? It was shoved in the microwave for a few seconds, and as expected it came out flavourless, greasy, soggy and chewy. Not toasted! I was assured it had been put in the oven and the waiter told me to either have it cold or re heated, telling me to choose. Rubbish service. Rubbish food. I will not be wasting my money with costa again.

Ordered a flat white and was given a watery one the size of a latte (flat whites are usually half that size at least). No flavour whatsoever, tasted like cardboard. Looks like someone needs to perfect their brewing method

I give 2 stars only because the view. The staff missunderstood my order and blamed me for that. I was given hot late caramel instead of cold and as I read in the comments below, it's not the first time they do so.

Had to repeat my order 6 times to receive a stale Pecan Brioche and a (not-so)-Caramel latte. The guy on the till, clearly a team leader of sort, was not paying attention to my order but to his colleagues and how they were doing their job. And on top of repeating the same things to this tram leader, I had to do the same with a till operator, to have my lately added Caramel in the latte.
