I recently had a disappointing experience at the Costa Coffee Shop. I was quietly working on my laptop when I noticed that the air conditioning was set to an uncomfortable level. The cold air was blowing directly at me, making it nearly impossible to focus on my work. I approached the manager politely and asked if he could adjust the movement of the air conditioning—specifically, to stop the air from blowing directly on me. I wasn’t asking for the whole system to be turned off, just to make a slight adjustment on one side, as the unit had four sides. To my surprise, the manager flat-out refused without any consideration, looking me straight in the face and simply saying, “No.” I found this response both rude and unprofessional. It’s frustrating when a business prioritizes convenience over customer comfort, especially when the request is reasonable and easy to accommodate. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I doubt I’ll be returning to this location anytime soon. If you need a comfortable spot to work, I suggest finding another café where customer comfort is actually valued.

The food is delicious and fills me up fast. The service is rather quick from 2 mins to 6 mins food is ready. The atmosphere can get a little noisy, but overall, this is my favourite cafe. My favourite dish is either the mac n cheese or the ham n cheese toastie. The cappuccino here is absolutely amazing. So are the lattes and frappes.

When placing an order, I was charged one coffee too many. then there is a big problem to return the money to my account. Very unprofessional.

This Costa is quite packed and busy, as located close to a number of supermarkets. Otherwise, the staff is friendly, coffee as expected and the location is good if you fancy a hot drink after the shopping is done!

Good size Costa a few minutes walk from Charlton overground station. Present friendly service.

I visited this Costa on the day of the London Marathon. It was super busy but the staff were polite and helpful, and the toilets remained clean throughout the morning despite the large number of customers. Well done to the team on duty (Sun 21st Apr).

I haven’t been to this store in a while and now I remember why….appalling behaviour from staff who are extremely rude. I returned my drink because it was not made correctly. The staff member argued with me and said that’s how I asked it to be made. I corrected her and then she started to shout at me. This continued while I ate my food and she proceeded to tell every customer thereafter why she was upset. Then she came to the tables banging and crashing around me and then started to cry and shouting at me again. I have never experienced such poor and appalling behaviour. I normally visit the brocklebank store in Charlton where the service is always amazing. I have made a formal complaint to Costa Head Office.

I like the quality of coffee served here in costa. The service is nice, not much waiting time and plenty of inside and outside seating space. The location is a plus as it is in the Charlton city center.

I love coming to this Costa. Staff are always friendly and helpful. They don’t rush when making your hot drink as in they make it with care and always taste nice and you get a really nice service.

Like any other Costa. Clean place to have a coffee. Parking is excellent with large supermarket near by.

Disappointed with the hot chocolate, very thin and watery with little chocolate flavour!

Warm and peaceful atmosphere inside, Bagels are nicely Toasted and Drinks are nice and hot upon arriving to take out.

If they cut the slices of cake any thinner they will blow off the plate as you walk to the table.

Nice spot to hangout, there's a gym nearby so you can get your pre/post workout caffeine. The car par has PLENTY of EV charging ports you can use for free. Costa, honestly I feel can be a little over priced with some of the drinks, but truth is, they do deliver good quality, especially with the limited edition ranges.

Standard Costa which is more than satisfactory

Iv come here a few times but I would defo say this place needs more seating. I can't stand it when u see 1 person hogging up big tables when there are smaller tables they could sit at but this cannot be helped by costas, its not there fault. Other than that excellent service.

Excellent Staff, other Costa branches take note! As a long time Coffee Shop merchant, I’ve seen my fair share of Costa’s However the exceptional quality, service and genuine kindness of the staff here were worth a review. Bravo!

Disappointed with the delivery guy he turned up on time but I had to stand at my kitchen window and shout 8 floors only to find out once again it was damaged. In stead of coming to my door and informing me he threw the drinks in the bin shouted back that they were “damaged damaged” and drove off so I’m now still waiting not knowing what’s happening. I tried phoning to find out but lines are constantly busy COME ON DRIVERS SORT IT OUT!!

Pop in for a drink and a slice of cake. Staff are pretty much always nice and friendly, even when it's busy. Same Costa service and quality. The shop was very hot though, the aircon was not working! I had the Apple and Blackberry slice, the apple flavour was nice but the blackberry seeds were MASSIVE, far to big and far too crunchy to be enjoyed. It really needs to be seedless otherwise it will break someone's teeth!!.

On the morning of August 10th, I visited Costa Coffee in New Charlton and ordered a cappuccino. The barista, a gentleman with an eye-catching mustache, not only skillfully prepared my drink but also offered a warm welcome. I was pleasantly surprised to find that despite the early hour, the staff were attentive and the fridge was well-stocked with a variety of sandwiches and drinks. It’s these small details that make a difference, and this Costa branch truly delivered. Highly recommended for a morning pick-me-up!

Absolutely rude customer service. And also they cant toast a toastie properly and we're extremely rude as well. I've used this costa since 2013 andits went downhill customer service wise very fast.

Toasted sandwich was cold and hard, I couldn't eat the crusts as it was too hard to bite, and it just didn't taste good

I used to love this place, frequented visiting here for the past almost 5years I have lived in the neighbourhood but service has gone downhill in the past year. I repeated my order twice because the attendant on the til kept absent-mindedly punching in a different drink. Low and behold I was given the drink that he insisted on my order tab. When the barista gave me the order, I said it wasn't what I asked for and tried to "fix it" by putting in hazelnut syrup on top of whatever sweetener she already put in which resulted in the drink being sickly sweet as a result. Wouldn't be coming back here with this kind of service.

Love a costa, although its getting very expensive

Very slow service had to ask for my cup to be topped up as was originally only filled 2/3. Coffee was ok but not great.

Staff are professional, always pleasant and very accommodating.

Noticed very little fillings inside the sandwiches. Selection is poor. Cakes look try and tasteless. New staff serving could do with customer service skill training overall ok

Rudest service I’ve ever experienced. As soon as I sat at a table, I asked about wifi as I couldn’t find any but saw on the website that you can connect to wifi at Costa if you buy a drink, I was rudely told there is no wifi but I still need to buy something as I can’t sit there otherwise. I intended on buying a drink, but don’t remember there being this rule in coffee shops when empty. I then went to order a drink, I asked for it to go (as I wanted a paper cup) and I was rude questioned ‘to go?’ As if I was trying to save a couple of pence. I also asked for creme on my hot chocolate, when it came to the girl making the drink she asked if I wanted creme, I said yes. She asked if I paid for it, I said I don’t know I wasn’t asked and she said well it looks like you didn’t, go pay 50p if you want creme. The whole experience made me feel very uncomfortable and I was treated as a naught school girl / someone just trying to take advantage of things? Very disgusting behaviour and I will also be making a complaint to management. Never has a Costa store made me feel so small and uncomfortable.

Staff in here are hit and miss. They act as if any recommendations or personal requests are a chore and my Costa card wasn't scanned even tho I was buying food

Jumped on a bus specifically to have a perfect cup of flat flight at this Costa. Customer service and drinks are of good standard here amongst nearby Costa’s. However, I got a drink far away from a flat-white and asked for it to be redone. After getting a look from barista, another drink has been made exactly the same. I didn’t like the attitude as if I don’t know what I am talking about and to my surprise it is obvious that the barista doesn’t know how a flat white is made.

Ruby's the best car wash very very great job where ever ales u go Ruby's car wash will be in your mind because they are so good very nice and polite workers with a excellent experience at ther job i am so happy all the times that I go there my car comes out like a brand new

The staff are sweet and always ready to help. Drinks and snacks are amazing and quickly served. The tables are clean and the toilets are great. The choice of outdoor or indoor seating is great for the weather. Place isn't busy mostly but you'd understand why it would be. Overall lovely place to sit and have a drink/snack in. Would definitely come again for lunch.

Nice and quiet and now serve some meals in addition to your usual beverages and snacks.. was impressed with being able to recharge your phone and being able to order via mobile.

With this heat, no air conditioning, poor staff. I sat outside so it was okay.

Very busy on Sunday morning. Actually, it is jam packed. Enough baristas and fast service though. I spun the lucky wheel at the counter for £1 donation and won a cake. I chose one then I noticed the cashier charged me for that. When I pointed out that I had won a cake, the cashier moved the wheel right in front of our eyes and said I did not win… A person behind me in the queue saw this and also told her that I had won. Only that’s when she removed the cake from the charge. No WiFi in this shop (or not turned on).

Nice coffee, nice tea lovely food. Toilets could do with some TLC, the sanitary bin had no lid and was full up - not very inviting. The tap was also falling off and was wobbling all over the place. Staff were very friendly however and was a lovely bit of grub.

I like the staff at this Costa...they are really friendly and work fast. The lady that served us today was in training, however she was friendly and helpful still. Lovely smile and sweet personality. The coffee cooler was really good. One of my fave drinks from Costa. Try one if you haven't as of yet.

I asked for a black cold brew with sugar syrup and half the ice they would normally put in and apparently asking myself why that order was so difficult for the 2 staff members on duty to comprehend was rude but giving me attitude because I dared to ask if there was any cold brew in the fridge at the start of the transaction wasn't and then to serve a very watered down cup of cold brew with no sugar syrup in it at all wasn't rude at on their part . I have frequented this particular costa for at least 6 years and this is by far the worst service I have had at this location but not the first bad service I've had there tbh I think I'll travel a bit further in future and go to the O2 location or even the Odeon Greenwich location and give this one a swerve.

Had medium iced tea strawberry and mint. Couldn't taste the fruit at all it was all ice and water
