Staff absolutely no idea about customer service, 3 of them stood talking people waiting to be served, girls chatting and ordering themselves food rather than serving the people in front of them.and then disappeared into the back. One lad left on his own to do everything.

I had to shout to get the staff members attention as she was engrossed with her mobile phone. Once she came to she made a coffee and I has some Citrus Cake that repeated on me for the rest of my journey.

It was very early that I was there, so not many people around, atmosphere was not possible to say.. Never had any food.. But as always coffee ☕ is good and was really needed..

A standard Costa Coffee outlet. My visit was on Christmas Day therefore staffing and availability of items was understandably limited.

Just had the worst and i think the last ever coffee at M6 north Burton in Kendal Costa. Made with water and milk first then espresso added.... no crema and looked like water coffee . They said that's what it always is. I disagreed and never had it served like that before from costa that I have always preferred. They offered it the other way round as I asked ie Double espresso first. However that still too difficult as water in first then espresso tossed in and II added milk. . Not a hint of la crema, looked and tasted like watery coffee all for £3.40. Shocking and I will change to Pret or Cafe Nero for a decent coffee

Expensive as you would expect on the M6. Over £4 for a medium latte. Contactless payment is undermined by the machine inviting a contribution to Moto charities that you have to accept or decline by pressing a fiddly little button. You think you have scanned and paid when you have not and then you have to mess about to complete the transaction. Charity is laudable but this delays and confuses customers. Find another way. Contactless should not entail locating little buttons and going through extra stages.

What’s the problem with paying for small Americano and having it in a smaller cup with less water at the extortionate price of £3.35 - and the cup fits in my cup holder in the car - apparently your rude girl behind the counter thinks it is a problem - not a problem ever before !

Purchase quite possibly the most revolting cappuccino ever produced from here. Managed to make it taste incredibly bitter and have a weird funky taste to it (are your coffee beans ok?). Sadly it was take out, and we were back on the M6 before I found out. Lady who served me was lovely though.

LUCY - Blonde hair blue eyes Man at the WHSmith (elderly with glasses) wasnt the nicest to be confronted by after a 5 hour journey but the beautiful young lady at Costa (Lucy - blonde hair blue eyes) brought my experience back hence the 5 stars - the perfect example of a welcoming and comforting service of a long journey break station. Ordered drinks and food made to perfection Lucy really demonstrated the best service aswell as the pride in her work. Well done and thankyou Lucy! <3 From the 2 coach drivers who attended 07062023 xx

It's bad enough paying £3.25 for a flat white, since the price increase, but charging £3.95 just because its in a service station is just ridiculous!

Great service and friendly staff, just a bit overpriced but that's motorway service stations for you. Nice to take a break with a nice coffee though.

I’m all for donating to charity but I would like to be asked first. When I asked what the 25p donate was for I was told charity. I pointed out that maybe you should ask first. I was then asked if I would like to donate, of course I said yes but come on at least ask me first.

£2.95 for this!!! I just bought a 25 pack of bottles for £3.99 in home bargain. This is unacceptable.

Not very friendly. A number of empty locations on the food display, including only one muffin. When I asked if there were more, she replied in a nippy tone, "Only what's on display." This was at 10:30am and I cannot believe that the food on display was expected to do an entire day. Also, the prices are higher than elsewhere.

Nice little take away. Nice chips. Nice chow mein. Wasn't too keen on fried shredded beef. However all in all good. It's convenient, take cards, fast service. Will be back.

Popped in here for a drink last night and loved the little snug bar with log burner! Nice vibe with mix of locals a one tourists. Dog friendly. The restaurant bit didn’t look all that cosy compared to the bar. We didn’t eat but checked out the menu and it’s expensive but I am sure it’s of very high quality. Will pop back again

My dog and I went in for lunch. Beef stew with mashed potatoes and a side salad, it was rich and flavourful with herbs and chunky veg in the stew and absolutely laden with beef. It was absolutely delicious. We sat looking out onto the picturesque village square. The lady serving behind the bar was very friendly and my dog was made to feel like a special guest. Good value meal in a gorgeous country pub. Many thanks and see you again.
