The quality of the coffee is so bad, taste terrible

On our way to the Lake District we stopped at this lovely stop. A nice break from the fatigue of travel and a change of atmosphere on the road.

The service at Costa was poor. The staff don't get paid enough to give one. Talking of money it would be hard enough to justify the drink prices if the service was excellent. When service is this poor it highlights the fact that the prices are in fact shocking and you are being taken for a mug. £5 for a mocha (medium). It's taking the proverbial.

Went in this morning after my shift to get a coffee at 3 am 11/08/24 no staff member to be seen apart from a WHSmiths staff I ask where is the staff for costa they have gone for a break ages ages ago very disappointed in this as it says it’s open 24hrs luckily managed to get one from the petrol station as they have a costa machine in there.

Very very slow service dirty tables and floor. In the defence of the staff there seem to be very few of them and a long que.

2x cappuccino 2x thin slithers of cake £18 Gobsmacked. Avoid.

Place was clean and staff nice however, I asked for oat milk ultimate blend and was told its no longer available. Instead I was service most horrendous tasting oat milk coffee I've ever had. It tasted like a pack of cigarettes had been put out in it. Won't be using costa again.

Often stop at Forton on way up north Called Wed 8 th worst visit They said no dishwasher in March but still only take out cups the toast came in a paper bag no plate and the toast was white !! Said no dishwasher Really 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ from March and £12 for that !! 😡

Kids who would rather be anywhere else. A tenner for coffee and toastie.

Call in hear around 3.00AM on a Sunday and Monday Morning on my way to Leicester in the truck. Guy who does nights on those days gives first class service, always welcome 👏 and makes a great Cappuccino.

22.30 on a Saturday sorry we are closed as of now. Not 24 hrs I guess then.... Thanks for nothing...

Weakest Costa I've ever had. Whuck is even worse as this was a motorway pit stop for tiredness. I will be search for a Starbucks in future.

Am a coach driver had 35 passenger's wanting coffe. We stopped on the north bound Lancaster services at 3.30am only to find the counter unmanned!!! A Costa employee was sitting fixated to his phone. I walked across to the south side,only to find that unmanned 😡Why advertise that you are open 24hrs!! Perhaps you should advise your staff!!!

Very poor taste compering to Greggs or Starbucks and price is shocking £3.95 for large black coffee that taste like water. Never again

Southbound - weak tasteless coffee with appalling service. "Coffee to go" served in glasses, then plastic cups thrown on to the tray for me to pour the coffee into. Waitress should have done that since her mistake. Add insult to injury - £4.20 for a medium coffee.

Alex, the young lady behind the counter, was brilliant. She was hard working, pleasant, efficient and made lovely drinks. I own a cafe, and Alex was so good.

Slow and personal seemed very tired and not caring much even though it was only 10am At 10am already no pastries They did not seem well organized So far didn’t care much for Costa, from now on I will intentionally avoid it in general

Awful taste, could not drink it at all.

Blonde lady that served us was very rude. "I can't be arsed" in reference to my partner. The brunette that served us was very nice and the coffee was great. Just a shameful attitude from the blonde server on the tills. I hope she can be arsed to fix her people skills in future.

Garbage place. Costa is rubbish at the best of times but this one was a) a mess b) only serves takeaway cups even when you are staying and c) thinks a cortado and a latte are the same thing. If there was an option for zero stars I would give it.

Lois, one of the staff members at the costa, was really nice and welcoming to me and my family! She went the extra mile and gave us great service. Good service makes such a difference. Thanks Lois! :)

Ordered large oat mocha and asked 3 times to put mint syrup in. On a way realised there is no coffee shots in it at all and no mint syrup. Nevermind that cup was all dirty wet in chocolate. Terrible...

Filthy and untidy. Not even sure how it can be allowed if I’m honest. Tables left uncleared, , bins overflowing, as for the use of a mop or cloth, I think that’s room much to ask. Overinflated prices too

Was closed and I specifically stopped there because it says it was 24 hours. I used the Costa machine in WH Smith and it was the worse coffee I have ever had

Quite busy and queuing essential.

Service very unpleasant, they make you wait 15 minutes for making coffee because the floor is almost dry after washing. this should be done before opening!

Unhelpful, slipshod service and unhygienic. Assistant kept the straw on the counter from the drink to add cream and put the straw back in. Bought 5 items for 5 individuals and was only given two serviettes, was give two more when asked for more. This is at 18:15 on 04/06/21 Costa, can you please appoint friendlier and staff with more sense of hygiene especially in the current situation !

A long wait for warm dishwater.

I asked for a hot cup of water to feed my four month old. Was refused. Explained that my crying baby wouldn’t drink cold milk, was still refused, with no explanation as to why. For a hot cup of water? Rude and unhelpful staff.

Staff looked bored. No cream or sprinkles on my special edition drink and no apology either.

People eating at two different costa tables during lockdown, at a service station. Surely this isn’t allowed and should be stopped.

One of the counter staff was not wearing a face mask or visor. OK they had an exemption but why were they making the coffee? Also wearing no gloves and therefore touching cups, cup lids with hands as well has breathing all over my coffee. All too casual in this time of crisis.

We went to queue at the Costa Coffee shop TODAY at the Lancaster South services with my elderly disabled mother who struggles to walk. A young chap in his late 20’s early 30’s with black facial hair, black hair, tall, wearing a high visibility vest and a costa t-shirt who was on his break started shouting across the room at us telling us to get further back in the queue. He said ‘Stand on the circle’. I explained I was wearing a mask and 2 metres distance from the person in front and behind. He continued shouting saying ‘There is a pandemic on you know’. Like I don’t know that!!! Are you serious pal, do you think we don’t know that. Do you think we have been sitting at home without a TV for the last 5 months!!! I shouted back saying ‘Just enjoy your break pal, alright’. He then continued to sit there giving us evils across the room, made us feel very uncomfortable. This chap obviously has some sort of power complex, probably the first security job he has ever had and the authority has gone to his head. There are no rules or signs that state one must stand on the circles. Providing you are observing social distancing rules and wearing a flipping mask nobody has the right to tell the customers where they should be standing. Who do you think you are? the queuing police????!!!!!

The service was extremely poor along with the behaviour of the baristas. Half cup was filled when asked for coffee, they really need to be educated in customer service.

Coffee ok. Didn't have bread to make toast on Sunday we were in store. Disappointing

Fast service and helpful staff... pricey, but to be expected at a service station I suppose.

Best and biggest selection of cakes, donuts and sandwiches in any Costa I've been to. Worth pulling over for a good time off the steering wheel. Bar tenders always nice and helpful. Keep up the good work guys.

Typical Costa fare, expensive compared to high street.

It's 00:54. Going back from a 980 miles trip back to Glasgow. This guy on this shift 17th January made my morning as he welcomed me with a great smile. Got my coffee sat down and sat the other side to talk to me. Nice touch. Highly recommended. All it needs is a smile for someone to make your day and this guy is the winner today.

Great service at Lancaster Costa..

This services is disgusting. Definitely needs deep cleaned. Staff at Costa need to be educated in how to smile when serving customers. They had no disposable spoons for takeaway porridge. I had to ask for a clean milk jug as the 1 I was given was clearly dirty only to be told that was all she had and would need to look for a clean 1. I would strong advise to avoid this sad excuse of a Costa.

It'll depend when you go in. It's a Costa's so the coffee and other items are about standard. I've been here and the service has been good. Today service was a bit souless. The seating areas were clean but they are a little weary.

An unpleasant experience. 4.30am, only customer here, I say a friendly hello to the barista and all he does is frown at me. No response. I look at him for a moment waiting for a reply and.......nothing. I decided not to buy anything. Seems like I'm not the only one looking at the other reviews.....

Arrogant night worker refused to serve us for over 20 minutes said he was having his break but we were prob only customers he had for an hour at 2 am . Shocking attitude.

I'm a huge fan of Costa, but this is not only the worst Costa I've ever been to, but also the worst café I've ever been to. My wife and I had a wrap each, which did the old Chinese vending machine trick of filling it at the visible point, then leaving it as bread and lettuce for the remaining 80% of the wrap you can't see. I had to sell a kidney to afford 2 wraps, 2 medium coffees and 2 brownies, and they forgot the brownies... Go to the burger king or Arlo's nearby instead. More quality and quantity at a cheaper price.

7am, place was empty and there was two baristas working. Service someone still painfully slow
