Costa Coffee in Liverpool

Underwhelming. Refused to give coffee cup at 4pm when drinking in cafe, had to use takeaway cup. There were cups out but presumably there was no one to wash cups up. Also pretty unhelpful when needed to access the toilet.

This must be the best Costa establishment I’ve ever been to, I’ve been to Costa’s all round Europe. Really enjoy going here!!!!

Costa coffee serves the most amazing capuchin .Froffy milky coffee topped with chocolate sprinkled all over the top.Mmmmm.

Lovely place and delicious coffees.

We hadn't been to this costa before, we enjoyed it, plenty of space, room to move between the tables, staff friendly and coffee and hot chocolate were good. The hot chocolate was tasty and not bland

Unfortunately,there was only one person trying to do everything,I really felt sorry for him, but he did amazing coffee

just a quick morning coffee...hot and well made just as good as any Costa no complaints.

No automatic door if you have a buggy or use a wheelchair

Went to put my bag down outside with my friend before going in to order, blonde old lady who works there shouted at me saying we couldn’t sit here. Despite other people around me eating tesco meal deals with no sign of costa purchases. She had no knowledge that we were about to go in and order. Completely rude and uncalled for.

happened a few times with order... latest order changes item which we about 8 hours old and drink was half empty.....

Costa coffee has to be my favourite of any of the main chains' coffee in regards to its flavour. The shop itself is quiet and relaxing and the staff are quick, attentive and friendly.

Went in for a takeaway coffee today around 2ish. 4 customers in there, nobody waiting to be served, I stood at the counter for 5 minutes while the person working was cleaning, they didn't acknowledge or look to serve me at all so I ended up leaving.

Ordered cold coffee cans to have for the afternoon to take out, they had none which is fine but instead made me 2 normal coffees, no toastie and the coffees had leaked all over the bag meaning both cups were covered in coffee leaked all over the floor. No notification that they could fulfill half the order, just left 1 item and threw in what the complete opposite of what I'd ordered for the rest of the items unavailable, why do we have to provide a contact number for this service if it's not going to be used by either the driver or restaurants.

Nice and quiet, good if you need to get some work done with a cup of coffee. Nice seating area

Worst Costa Coffee I've ever visited. Staff are rude and don't care. Don't listen, to busy talking about their night out the night before to bother about the customer hence why there is always a queue waiting

Terrible service. Employees clearly busy with their lives and unaware of what they're doing, unable to follow simple requests. Asked for two double expressos, had to wait an eternity because they only had 1 cup. After a while, they gave me 1 double and 2 singles, but the double came in a broken cup. Went back, asked for 2 more singles as we were splitting the other 2, but they gave me another double... All the while, the employees appeared shocked that I was refusing to drink from a broken cup and when I complained about the double instead of 2 singles all 3 looked at me like they had no idea what I was talking about.

Disgusting. I paid for five sandwiches and two of them were missing and another one had meat in it when I ordered vegetarian. I am disgusted. No way to contact the restaurant except request a refund in 7 days. That’s not good enough because my family are now short of breakfast. Thanks but no thanks Just Eat

A wide selection of food and drinks. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Plenty of spaces available. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Great service and nice a quiet. A shame my toasties was only toasted on the top though.

Recently converted from Costa as they sold me a cup and said you get a discount for using your own cup but when I went to get a refill they said go and clean your cup then come back we don't touch used cups so I goto Starbucks now because they are as petty as Costa and they are cheaper

A little slow preparing order of 1 cup of coffee when not many people in.

Delivery time kept changing for 2 drinks! Didn’t even send a straw with the cold drink and forgot half the ingredients to the drink, shocking.

Great product but the service was slow

The big reason I have taken stars off for this is the length of time it took to get served. It was a Saturday morning, maybe 11am, so pretty quiet but it took 10-15 minutes. I don't blame the staff, they were clearly working hard. There was simply not enough staff. Only 2 members to clean, wash dishes, make food, coffees, milkshakes and other complicated drinks. If they had more staff, they'd serve more people and make more money...

Coffee ok. Only two people serving. To long a wait for a simple cup of coffee.

Not many staff, didn't have any mugs cleaned or anything which wasn't that good.

My usual coffee shop on the way to work, but I'm learning to avoid it on certain days; as staff in need of training repeatedly mess order up.

Same coffee like all the other ones I've been to. But very understaffed, one man working on his own, but yet I saw another colleague in the back and it only took him another 6 people to join to queu to shout her , even though there was already 5 in the queue. 15 minute wait to be served.

My favourite venue for a coffee break in town. It's a spacious Costa, with a good choice of seating styles. The service is fast and the place is well cared for by the attractive and friendly staff. The atmosphere is relaxed with low level background music.The loos are also well looked after! A good place to eat, drink ,relax and read the papers!

Service in here is brilliant, always very quick and efficient.

This particular Costa was quite big so it was easy to take a seat and have a conversation.

The front door doesn't close properly and in the winter you can feel the cold from outside while you trying to enjoy your coffee.

Warm coffee served and when I took it back the staff argued that it was hot and that I should have asked for extra hot, it was like warm at best and not just mine!! Rubbish customer service, they would rather have an arguement and insisted on the last word!!! Hot coffee would have been nicer first time!! Would have been bit better if they had tea cakes and choc twists to accompany the cold coffee!! Go to the other one around the corner!!

Great place, what let’s this place down is they don’t take any vouchers. My phone provider gives out free coffee codes and they are unredeemable at this cafe for some reason.

Very good Costa outlet with friendly staff and quick service. It's pretty big inside with plenty of seating if you walk past the counter. There is no view so to speak due to it being below ground level

Great brownie and hot drink! Breastfeeding friendly! There is a lift to get down the stairs! Service was quick! Only not 5 star as i clearly had a pram but was left to juggle a tray to the table around the corner! Although i was successful in no spillage 🤣

Your made to buy a coffee before you can use the vasilitys because the codes on the bottom of the receipt wich if your desperate isn't good hence I made sure I payed with a load of loose change just so the girl on the till was inconvenienced as was I. I wouldn't use this Costa coffee again and anyone else wanting one there's one 5 min walk away with free vacilitys.

Great Costa if a little bit out of the way. Larger inside then you would expect and great customer service. Friendly staff compared to other Costa's I've been to.

Perhaps I was unlucky, but the barista seemed unhappy that I interrupted her idyll, by appearing as the only customer at 12.05.several sotto voce tuts, really annoyed me to the point of ending a, 4 year relationship with this branch. There are two others within 400 yards.

Big Costa lots of seating, bit of a que though as very busy

Nice premises, clean and reasonably big. If you're a coffee expert then you won't be going into a Costa Coffee, but for an average Joe like me then it's fine.

Great staff, great coffe and a chilled out atmosphere.

An odd-layout inside, this branch is located slighly below street level - giving you the "Cheers" style image of people walking past. It's spacious and cozy towards the back. The service however has been slow and clunkly the last couple of times I've visited. This can be a problem as it can quite quite busy at lunch time due to its proximity to the offices of the Commercial District.

Pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. The free wifi (for 2 hours) is a bonus too with the store being below street level.

I like Costa. But you all ways wait to long for your drink. All ways seems to be just one person making the drinks while the others behind the counter just keep taking orders . Or not really doing much to make the queue go down faster

It's a Costa. If you don't want a take-out I recommend the branch a few minutes up Old Hall Street - much quieter.
