Costa Coffee in Stroud

It really is time Costa invested some money in this shabby store. The frontage is falling to pieces and has been for well over a year, meaning the outside seating is inaccessible. The toilets are shabby and need replacing and the drive thru order post has recently been out of service for weeks, resulting in huge queues and the lovely staff being subjected to abuse. The staff are expected to perform miracles in a shabby and restrictive service area, for seemingly little thanks or appreciation from the organisation they work for.

Rubbish service. First order forgot my food. Second order cancelled after an hour of waiting. Worst Costa in Gloucester I try to avoid wherever possible. Any time I’m forced to order from here they mess it up some how. If you like burnt espresso and not getting what you ordered fill your boots. I would recommend Costa quedgely as a better alternative where possible although they often run out of things faster as they are more popular for a good reason.

Was disappointed with the way my friends were served with their drinks not being fully made and served in a half empty

Visited at 9.30am this morning and as usual there were only two members of staff who for a whole queue of people waiting at the drive through and inside. Left after 10 mins when out of the 5 people in front of me, only one had been served. The staff in here are lovely.. really polite and working so hard, but through no fault of their own, it is obviously consistently understaffed. This is the 5th time I have visited in recent months (at all different times of the day) and the 4th time I have left without being served, as the wait is just too long. I’m officially giving up on it now and will use one on M5 instead. Update.. just stopped at the first services on M5 north and got served at the Costa drive thru in less than 2 minutes.

Longest drive thru, not efficient at all

Wanted to say thank you to Phoebe and Rebecca today, as my husband has new intolerances and it's so difficult to know what to do, they were so efficient and got a folder out to show us what he can and can't have. Thank you so much for all your help and my husband loved the coconut milk in his hot chocolate and also the lemon drizzle cake was beautiful.

Good location and friendly staff

The "Costa Special" is becoming a bit of a running joke at this place. No matter what I order at the drive-thru, the drink I discover when I get to my office is whatever they decided to make rather than what I actually ordered. Today I also had the added bonus of discovering the milk bottle lid had been dropped in my drink when I heard it rattling around the bottom of the cup when I'd almost finished my latte (which wasn't the drink I'd ordered). Funny thing was I'm pretty sure the lady making my drink saw it fall in as she poured the milk from the jug into the cup, but from where I was outside the window of the drive-thru, I assumed it was just a blob of foam tipping in. I guess it was to make up for my lack of vanilla syrup, but I can't say it added much flavour.

Waited 20 mins for 2 coffees with people behind us being served first

My mum and me always love go to go this costa with our dogs. Always extremely friendly service and not often issues. Glad costa are giving their staff more pay in April, they deserve it ♥️❤️

Good service overall. Plenty of parking, right off of road. We enjoyed our drinks.

All the tables were full of used crocks. Had to clear before sat down.

Took my friend and she liked it and that's all that mattered.

Great service as usual. Cake is lovely but we'll over priced for the portion size, but that's the same everywhere. Think about it 16 slices to a standard size cake at £3.75ish, that's a lot of profit. I have it as a treat only and usually when on a reward. Coffee is always hot, and the coolers are great during the summer. Atmosphere? It's a cafe with many people on laptops working remotely.

It's one of the good ones! Staff are very well trained and great at their job. Never seems too busy but I think that's because of the location.

Just been verbally assaulted by one of the staff members threatening to throw water over me. I repeated 3 times could I have some water in a cup of ice & she threw it away! Unfortunately my father recently died and I was just verbally abused! You really need to think through your staff members at this Costa. It’s a shame as I’ve spent £10000s at Costa over the years! I think il forward this message on to Costa hq

Got a parking ticket, apparently staying in Costa chatting and buying their products for too long means a £60 fine!

Ordered a coffee through the Drive-thru, the lady serving me was so friendly and courteous. Great start to a long day. Sorry I didn't get the ladies name.

Got sick of Costa taking duplicate payments but they wouldn’t even apologise when notified. Awful customer service. Will not use again.

Nice place, not much selection of food today (Sunday) and the ice machine had broken down, so unable to get iced drinks on a hot day, but happy to try it again when passing.

Just picked up a drive through coffee and recieved very friendly service. Many thanks.

Only had a few coffee's in the drive threw , but had my free ones so they always taste better when you don't have to pay.

Need to keep up with drive thru slow service also needs to check customers with customer not just say price and if the barista moved any slower my drink would be cold .do not appreciate taking 30 min in queu.

Not too busy, clean and tidy, with good staff/customer interaction. Had a great coffee with suitable background music playing. Alway good to wind down now and again, so why not do it with a great coffee.

Used drive thru and the service was so slow. Was only one person in front of us and they moved on as we arrived, waited longer to place our order than for it to be made. Drive thru meant to be fast not snail slow. Not first time this happened either.

Best Costa coffee in Gloucester! Staff are friendly and polite, service never takes too long! They always have my favourite food in stock (Wiltshire ham toastie and millionaires shortbread), and the new maple hazelnut hot chocolate is delicious! Five stars, would highly recommend!!!

I always enjoy a Costa. Their drinks are amazing. But they've taken sausages and the mushroom toasties off the menu! I usually get a drive through but on this occasion decided to stay. Its lovely and clean, but not so pleasant to sit outside. I went in the afternoon and the seating area is totally out of the sun, with very uncomfortable benches, and right next to a very busy dual carriageway. To sum it up.. Its as usual clean friendly and tasty. Great drive through, but not so good to sit outside.

Order cold drink as sold out of salter caramel, said could do caramel, it was terrible no taste, asked if they could add more caramel to make it taste if it, they said it wouldn't make any difference, had a discussion with other members through thr head sets, not very professional, made a mint one it was OK just given to us very messy around cup to hold, I visit Costa everyday while I live and never have this issue, wouldnt visit again, wasn't made very friendly, when drinks are expensive you won't them right.

Used the drive-through for a frappe, courtesy of the Costa app! Friendly service and the drink was nice… Spot on👍.

My local coffee shop. Pretty much driving thru everyday and always great service and consistently great tasting drinks. Definitely best costa in town.

Great place and lovely staff, when drive through is fairly busy I have found that the drinks are not always that hot so please check before driving off, nothing worse than a luke warm latte. Update I always have to ask for extra hot when asking for drinks, this normally works 👍🏼

Very efficient, quite quick on drive through. Coffee was hot so it didn't drop in temperature. Was impressed!!

Friendly staff great food and drink

It's a Costa, nothing special there, but it's perfectly located for the M5 and A38. I've stopped here many a time for a break in the journey. If you like a Costa then you'll like this place.

Nice safe well run place, but short on Decafe coffee. Better have stock on Sunday.

If there are big lines on the drive thru and slow processing of the orders it can take a while, even if going inside. if you catch it right with no cars, still takes a while but quicker. Car park spaces are tight.

1st time I've been to Costa enjoyed it

Queued for a short while only downside no large drinks available and no sugar given as requested. Overall a pleasant trip.

The location is a little awkward but OK to get to from the roundabout. Always had good service from here.

The weekend staff whi serve us with 2 small skinny lattes every Saturday and Sunday morning at the drive thru are fab. Service with a smile!

We order through Uber Eats and a lovely guy on an Ebike turns up very quickly with our fresh coffee.
