Costa Coffee in Amber Valley

Excellent service by Jackie this morning at one of my favourite coffee shops .. lovely coffee.. great start to the day! Thank you !

Not sure what's happening but they've actually started serving up decent cappuccinos.In the recent past there was a mix of good and bad attempts at something that's not rocket science.

The coffee was very disappointing, I took the coffee back to ask for another only to be greated by Leah who was rude ,I was a regular at costa Belper but won't be going again ,very unsatisfied

I have been finding it very difficult to order an iced coffee with a plain sugar syrup free of charge as I usually get it for free on any other costa . The area manager here refuses to restock this and I don't know why but I feel it's a bit rascial because I prefer cold than warm coffee. I'm very annoyed especially when I know this should be provided for free but instead I'm forced to pay for a flavoured syrup shot instead. Cold coffee and sugar don't mix the sugar stands on the bottom and the staff I spoke where aware of this issue but where unable to do anything about it

Clean and tidy with very friendly and welcoming staff, usual Costa fare, their coffee is very good, nice to see the staff clearing the tables quickly for other customers to use.

i walked in in a happy joyful mood and lets just say seconds later i was disgusted by the hospitality here, i walked up to the counter to order my drink very bubbly and all i said was "do you have he new hazelnut syrup" as i wanted to try the new autumn menu. The person at the counter bluntly replied with yes so this knocked my confidence a bit but i continued, as i started to question my confidence i forgot my order and stuttered and in return i got a rude glare from Jason behind the counter but i further continued and ordered trying to be cheerful and spread positivity so a couple minutes later when i went to collect my drink i said thank you in a cheerful tone and in return i got another dirty look! this was not okay. In addition to this absolute disgrace of a visit, my friends they also received dirty looks and his unpolite mode of address, when collecting their drinks the were almost launched towards them, as my friend politely asked for green milk as she is allergic to other colours and Jason scoffed and gave dirty looks

Went into Costa coffee in Belper today only to be told we couldnt sit in a certain area as it was now dog friendly and a dog had actually messed on the floor. Totally disgusting and wont ever be going into Costa Belper again. Dog friendly...!!!🤣🤣

Chairs are uncomfortable, almost like they don't want you to spend long in there 🙄

Called in on a Tuesday morning, there was a queue but we were served quickly. We had a 25%discount through the app which was great. The cafe was busy.

Experience differs depending on the staff.. there’s a few that could turn the milk sour.. jay lovely.. one younger girl bitching about the staff, unprofessional. Had a take away the last time I went in.. when I got home it was a quarter of a cup.. 8.80 for two drinks.. I go to the independent cafes now as it’s nice to be greeted and made welcome.

Always good, friendly, welcoming, and polite. It's good to have a place like nearby to indulge in a great cuppa and almond crossaint.

They not long ago refurbished this and it looks really nice, food is a bit expensive for me so just had a drink

Always a fantastic service from all the staff. Very pleasant and personable. A little pricey but the quality is good and consistency is there. Very clean environment. Nice atmosphere. Clean toilets Lovely open spacious seating areas where you don't feel hemmed in. Fast service with a smile. Modern stylish decor but not overpowering. Highly recommend.

Visited Costa, my favourite coffee shop, for an americarno with vegan cream, only to find that they were charging an extra 45 pence for the vegan cream, quite surprising, as I have never been charged Extra for vegan cream before!!!

We Are OPEN! Google has us as temporarily closed. Our opening hours are Mon -Sat 8-5 Sun 9-4 I’ve reported it multiple times

Came here with my wife and son for a rest and a caffeine fix before heading into the rain again. The team of ladies at the helm of this place were lovely and the Maple Hazel Latte I had was amazing 🤩 One thing that did surprise me in a positive way was how big it was inside! I wasn’t expected the amount of seating. The cleanliness of the place was outstanding too, including the toilet when I visited.

The best Costa we visit to be honest. Lovely staff who take care and have pride in the drinks they serve.

Costa Bakewell is wonderful, not too noisy. Staff are changing & some need better training to steam milk longer as there's nothing worse than lukewarm milk which isn't good for digestion. Good space between tables for moving with shopping etc

Coffee after training with a friend. Fast friendly service, clean, spacious and good coffee as always. I'm dairy intolerant so I know there's always options for me and not just black coffee.

Nice coffee and lovely cakes.. Tables were short when an area was sectioned off though.. Young female staff member with short hair questioned me when I took a photo of the cakes. Public place, you cannot ask I'm afraid. !!! Rude !! Gentlemen staff member friendly and happy!! Toilet needs a good clean too.

Belper branch, fantastic service and most helpful staff. Not having been to Costa ma y times I was unsure of what to choose, the two ladies made a great choice for me and made the experience an enjoyable one

Cycled through on cycles. Had the cyclist specials, coffee and cake. One of us had left the helmet in the loo, bless.

Served quickly but young girl on drinks didn't speak or acknowledg in any way. Just plonked drinks down on counter and walked away. Could have belonged to anyone waiting! !

I have been to many Costa’s in U.K., but this is the best…todays staff Sat 23 rd , July in Belper were brilliant, they knew and recognised their customers and their orders ,they were friendly and super efficient.3 women, and it was busy..can’t praise them enough it’s not easy being a Barista.professionalism should be rewarded 👍😊😊❤️

Strangely this place currently closes at 4pm on a Saturday. We arrived at 3.50 but were allowed to sit and drink our coffee in one of the few designated seating areas whilst they tidied up. This was much appreciated after our 10 mile hike.

Nipped in Costa in Belper today to get a take out coffee but ended up sitting in instead. The table was cleaned thoroughly before we sat down and the store manager made us feel very comfortable. Costa is my favourite coffee, always a good cup!

Wasn't the best . Chap serving was as miserable as sin. Chap on leaving spilt milk everywhere, he told chap at counter who didn't do a thing about it. My wife then told a lady who eventually cleaned it up. This place has gone downhill

Really good opening times and lots to offer. I only remove the stars because I far prefer Starbucks and wish one was there instead. Costa coffee tastes awful to me. I make better at home.

You know what you are getting in a Costa Coffee, a decent cup of coffee and it is what it is. However why do people who run cafes not realise that it makes for a better experience for customers if tables are cleared and cleaned when people have finished rather than just leaving used crockery on the tables.

Ample seating in this Costa Coffee. However, I requested fruit loaf, toasted tea cake and brown toast. None of these items were available at lunchtime.

I went in to Belper Costa today...the day the company decide to trial new sized cups and change the tills. I know how frustrating this can be for staff having worked for big conpanies myself. The girls were doing their best to accomodate the changes and need to be commended for putting up with company changes so professionally. My only gripe with every Costa I have ever been in is there appears never enough staff to clear tables...they are ALWAYS full of dirty cups and trays....such a shame when I love the coffee so much.

Who doesn't love a good Costa. Belper's CC is a lovely spot to enjoy great coffee. 😋

It was a nice place not too expensive.... there was a other and baby sitting nearby and I was pulling faces at her it was so funny I think she was supposed to be eating her food but I was distracting her making her laugh lol

Becky, Jay and the team provide one of the best Costa Coffee experiences around. Caring, Professional and helpful, making Costa visits a pure pleasure in Belper. The team in general provide an amazing service and their coffees are always spot on. We’re awkward customers who don’t like off the shelf coffees, but it’s never an issue. Thanks again guys and gals, you really do need a pat on the back!
