Costa Coffee in Charnwood

I have been coming here for well over 5 yrs now got to know most of the staff the friendly banter between me and the staff is great there is nothing they want do for you if there is something wrong I a in there 2/3 times a month and if I have not been in they will be on it like a shot asking how I am and asking is everything of and all that great friendly bunch of stuff

Ellie was the only one actually working and she was brilliant , the other girls were on their phones behind the counter , no faults with Ellie at all <3

I popped in with my wife for a quick drink, The service was excellent and the place has a good atmosphere but the drink let the place down, a few key steps on coffee making were missed, portafilter basket waste wiped to get rid of the old coffee grounds, didn't purge group head or steamer wand before use, so as you can see from my picture the coffee is left in the bottom of the cup from the drink before me, and that made the drink taste stale, staff could do with some barista training.

Go in regularly and the staff are great, we were served by Ellie and libby made our drinks they were both really nice and made sure we were having a good day, really pleasant staff and nice coffee.

Good wifi and some sockets nearby the table, which is very convenient for working or studying. Caramel latte and sandwich are okay but chocolate cookie tastes a bit weird. BTW not bad

Been many times before yhe last visit being yesterday Tuesday 19th march 2024. Was very quiet and no queues so getting a table was easy. We had lovely cappuccinos and a sandwich plus millionaires cake. All was very nice, staff were excellant.

I went to this store on the 14th march. I have a nut allergy. So for us folk it's always a bit hit and miss. I got served by ellie and jade. They both went above and beyond to make me feel safe eating there. Opened up a fresh packet of lemon muffins for me to eat from. Its makes a real difference. I hope this messages reaches you. Helen

First time been in this Costa,was very very busy at least 8 people in the queue...staff seemed slow with no grasp of urgency. My latte drink was slapped on the tray...some went on to my cake....sat down.latte was Luke warm almost cold...I was going to ask to have it redone or re heated? But by now the queue was 20 long, so didn't bother..rather annoyed.when you paying £3.45p for a drink! Yes shop was busy..but no point serving cold drinks! ( Sat.27.01.24.@10.19.

Ordered breakfast and they didn’t send the cobs because apparently they didn’t have any. They didn’t call or exchange them, which meant I still got charged for them. They asked the driver to tell me - absolutely awful service. Do yourself a favour and go to Starbucks.

Ordered a Brie and bacon toastie and it came with no bacon on it!? Unbelievable.

Shocking service coffee barely warm they kept getting peoples orders wrong long wait to be served dirty utensils tables not cleared. We have been loyal customers to Costa for a number of years and still will be but we certainly won't be going to this establishment again

Staff are excellent and well trained to provide polite and quick service. My only issue is with people being allowed to sit (especially upstairs) without ever ordering a drink. Also some people use it as a place to do there work and can be noisy talking to people remotely while ylus8ng their laptops.

I like the staff in Loughborough Costa and very lovely coffee and clean and friendly staff and toilets are clean I give you lots in Loughborough Costa 10/10 for everything from garry whiting from Leicester

All the wrong food given in the order and a drink made wrong. Unhappy as now I have been left with food I cannot eat.

Great service here by Scott and his team. Lovely and friendly. Very busy but efficient and quick service. All with a friendly smile.

A lot cleaner than our previous visit. However cooking skills need to be worked on, a bacon cob is exactly what it says but here its crispy bacon between two cracker breads as its rock hard. I also expect full cups of drinks and not to be given excuses regarding plant based milks sinking.

I have been in here on several occasions but none of which were for food, so not been able to comment on this. The service and atmosphere have always been excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Welcome to Costa home of the coffee, want coffee?! Guess what your at the right place! It's a bit expensive but heck everything is now! Don't want to pay? Go tkmax and grab a big bag of coffee cheap and make at home, can't be bothered? Then stay at Costa and grab a nice cup of coffee instead

I don’t normally review mainstream cafes, but the staff here were excellent and supportive in catering for a coeliac! Wiped down tables and double checked all allergen guidance! Very friendly and welcoming too.

They delivered a single coffee and 2 flapjacks, not a coffee, a bacon sandwich, a muffin and a biscuit. I'm not paying £16.55 for a coffee and flapjacks I didn't order. Their phone number doesn't work so I can't call to get it replaced. I'm hungry and cross

Nice atmosphere, big shop with plenty of room.

Service when main manager not on shift is very slow. Would be nice even to be acknowledged when standing in line. And when having ordered food do I ALWAYS have to ask for a serviette! Customer service skills deficient.

We have just had the pleasure of being served by Aadam (with two A's) at Market St Costa. Totally went above and beyond with service... So pleasant and helpful. 5* custoner service.

Nice coffee but always seems noisier than other coffee shops. For a quiet coffee go to Nero. With all the price increases I'll not be going as much. Sad fact of today's situation. Will use local independent ones for support.

Spotlessly clean. Superb friendly service and nothing is too much trouble. It is plain to see that the team love working together and for the manager who is clearly a dedicated leader. The perfect place to meet friends or take some quiet time to recharge.

My wife found the staff a little abrupt and more interested in their social life and cigarette breaks and talking to their friends out the front of the shop and petting their dogs. Toasted sandwiches excellent however.

Good coffee as normal but service was slow

Visited yesterday and was very disappointed. Really slow service with at least 1 out of the 3 staff members behind the counter staring into space. Once we were served the lad was rude & aggressive whilst the lady slapped the items down on the tray and was barely any better. The toilets were also filthy with toilet paper strewn over the floor. Never have I visited a Costa like it. Avoid at all costs.

Quiet coffee shop. Unfortunately all breakfast baps eg bacon, sausage, egg were all sold out at 9am! So had toast and hot chocolate instead, that were both fairly average.

Always visit here but disappointed to find very little in stock for breakfast despite being there before 9.

Costa coffee is similar to cafe neo and Starbucks. You don't need to wear face mask anymore. It has 2 floors, ground floor and first floor. It has a free Wi-Fi. It is opposite from HSBC bank.

Had to ask them to clean the tables. Not one clean table.

My mocha was more of a hot chocolate with added coffee which was a bit difficult to drink. The tables were being cleaned regularly though and it was warm and dry while it was raining outside

I have never been to Costa Coffee in my life despite Google asking me to review it. I only ever use independent coffee shops.
