Costa Azul in Southwark

Lo visité para esta noche, la cena... fue absolutamente excepcional... el ambiente... un servicio brillante... me encantaría regresar... el restaurante realmente marca todas las casillas.

As a previous review advised, the portions are quite large, but smaller and tastier bites would be preferred. I would say that the food is of average quality (nothing like the real Ecuadorian food) but with quite high prices. Be aware that they charged us £4 for a small bottle of water! Yes, not even in fine restaurants I have been charged that much! Please check your bills before you pay! We prefer quality food rather than quantity, therefore we won't return to this place.

A lovely little place tucked under one of the arches. Lots of customers inside speaking Spanish so that was a good sign already. The food was SO GOOD and generous sized portions, and the decor and music added a great vibe.

Comida riquisima, buena relacion calidad-precio. Las camareras muy amables, buen ambiente.Volveré seguro.

Went for my cousin’s bday dinner, we may as well have booked a nightclub. We booked for 20 ppl, they had given half our table away (some of our group had to leave). It was so loud we couldn’t have conversations. The food wasn’t bad but the whole experience was shocking (the only ok person was the young waiter- the only male) One of the waitresses accused us of being late and that’s why they didn’t keep the table that was not true, the table had been taken before. They do karaoke so its more like a bar/club. Definitely NOT a place to go for a relaxed meal. To finish off, when they brought the cake out, they left it and didn’t bring knife or plates until asked to.

Un restaurante de muy buena comida y un buen servicio pero lastima q acoliten a personas ajenas al restaurante vengan a vender cosas robadas como ropa y utilicen una mesa enfrente de las personas q están con familias y niños y son los mismos miembros del restaurante q comprar por mi la última vez q visito este restaurante no es buen ejemplo para nuestros hijos lastima

Some restaurants just feel like home. Costa Azul is that type of place. It’s memorable, it’s friendly, it’s delicious. It has a sense of family. We thoroughly enjoyed the meat platter and were very well taken care of by the staff. It’s not fancy or pretentious, it’s just enjoyable. We will return with family and friends.

The portions are quite large so go there on an empty stomach and the food is decent but I would've preferred smaller and tastier bites. The food itself was nice, the only thing I remember having and really liking was the melted cheese banana appetizer. Prices quite big for such a neighborhood resto.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante su consiglio di un amico colombiano. Diciciamo che l'arredamento e la zona non sono delle migliori, è sempre pieno quindi vi conviene prenotare se non volete fare fila ed aspettare. Principalmente cucina di pesce e devo dire che non mi sarei mai aspettata una qualità del genere! Abbiamo diviso in 4 una grigliata mista per due e una porzione di riso con il pesce. Considerate che abbiamo fatto fatica a finire tutto! Pesce buonissimo, saporito, soprattutto i gamberoni e il pesce bianco! Considerate che un piatto di riso (che potrebbe essere benissimo una cena per due persone) viene 13£. Quindi in 4, con varie birre e un antipasto di calamari fritti abbiamo speso 20£ a testa. Passateci se volete mangiare tanto e bene, ma non se avete problemi con i posti rumorosi!

I just love this restaurant. Its not fancy but the food is amazing and some of the portions can easily be shared between 2 people. I visit this place very often with friends and we end up leaving Costa Azul stuffed!!

We went to this little Ecuadorian place. Huge portions sizes, affordable prices. Me and my friend shared a dish, felt stuffed after. You can only pay with cash that's the only thing. Some times there is traditional karaoke with Hispanic songs. Which is different, did not expect that. But overall lovely restaurant. Totally recommend it.

Huge portion sizes so arrive with an appetite. Excellent quality and reasonable price. Well worth it.

Buona qualità e porzioni abbondanti. Chiaramente la qualità si paga... Il locale potrebbero migliorarlo in particolare l'arredo. Ma consiglio, qualità e porzioni abbondanti ma un pochino costoso.

Hemos ido a cenar con parientes de Londres y encontramos este rincón latinoamericano con todos los sabores de ecuador. Bien servido, muy abundante y rico. Pudimos cenar tarde en una ciudad que duerme temprano.

Tenia bastantes deseos de ir a este restaurante,en verdad fue mas las expectativas que la realidad,todo correcto las camareras muy atentas y la comida buena,lo malo que si no lees los anuncios de que sólo se puede pagar en efectivo y solo llevas tarjeta te llevaras un chasco,se puede mejorar.

We have attended twice in weekend to have lunch. We like the shrimp ceviche that they sell there. The salads we like too. The price-quality ratio is ok. The staff is friendly and agile. Would advise to have typical Ecuadorian music and more variety of beers.

I love this restaurant,but is better on weekends because you have all the seafood and more typical food, also the plates is really bigger.

Nice place to try some South American Food (Brazil not included) in London. Prices are expensive for the quality of food and restaurant.

I go there just because the food is really good, waitresses are moody but I don't care. Portions are big and price is acceptable

Sadly the service went down the hill, also the prices went up, I don't mind pay a bit extra, but if the service is not the best .... You decide..
