Had a nice few hours here. Locals were very friendly and wanting to chat with us, even bought us a few rounds. Nice time.

Popped in to have a drink and they were showing the old firm match. Staff were really chatty and friendly as were many of the other customers , even though we were supporting the opposite team from the rest of the pub. Will definitely be back when we are in the area again

Smashing little pub with super landlady (I think she was the landlady). Popped in for a lunchtime drink whilst staying in the village. Extensive range of bottled spirits, good range of beers and what would usually be a good selection of drafts but due to supply issues, was limited on our visit. But we were given a very warm welcome and good knowledge of bottled alternatives.

We visited on Saturday , as we have done over the years on our way to Islay. We were greeted by a very polite young girl who informed us of the clear protocols. She was later required to repeat this to a slighter larger group and those that apply to households, the group accepted this. She was then questioned about this in a rather aggressive and challenging manner which we found unnecessary by a group of 3 men. They were also quite prolific with their expletives in not only their manner to her but also in their general discussion. There was indication that the men were regular customers. As stated we have frequented the establishment over the years and appalled and embarrassed as this has never been our experience in the past.

Visited the Corner House while exploring Tarbert. An ok dog friendly bar with good views across the harbour. Friendly staff and locals and a good range of ales.

Friendly bar scene with good range of drinks, however locals gather around the TV which is above the toilet access corridor so can require a bit of negotiating around these animated people who have their backs turned to you and are discussing latest events. This was at a quiet time so don't know what it would be like when busy. Very surprised that they do not have a card machine and require cash only.

Stayed in Tarbert for a weekend, after drinking here a couple of days I was made to feel like a local. Very friendly, good range of drinks and the main bar in Tarbert in my opinion. Love pubs like this. Shows sport too.

Every visit to Tarbert I make time to have a couple of pints of their 'best' Caledonian bitter. Friendly staff and overlooks the harbour. No food though.

If you can find a friendlier 'mine host' , Dougie - you'll be doing well. We were staying nearby but adopted this as our 'local' such was the friendly welcome we received , from everyone. Great bar , fine selection of malts served with genuine friendliness. Well done , will certainly return to Tarbert and The Corner.

This was a warm, friendly pub facing the harbour in Tarbert street. We were able to walk from our hotel, The Anchor Hotel, and enjoy great cold beer and friendly service. The owner was present and asked why we were in town and upon discovering our next day's trip to Islay by ferry, provided us with a map and some information. Several in our group took their beer across the street to picnic tables next to the water. If we are ever again in this wonderful little village, we will definitely be back.

What a fabulous little restaurant. Fantastic views, fantastic service and amazing food. I had a chicken and lemongrass dish which was perfectly accompanied by a bottle of Prosecco and deliciously dressed salad. The flavours were perfectly balanced, the chicken was beautifully juicy and even the rice was a joy. This dish stood head and shoulders above anything else that I had to eat on the Island. Bravo and thank you!!

Incredibly fast service. Almost too fast, really, as we were there to relax, but we're in and out in under 50mins. It took us longer to drive there, although to eat! Puds - lemon tart, best we've ever had. Menu ok, but not as good as it was. There are few alternatives to fish dishes and vegetarian dish (singular option) uninspired. Staff were cheery and polite but just all too quick. We felt hurried.
