Guyanese lunch for 7.99! I'm so glad this has replaced the Thai place because Guyanese food is delish. Normally I get my pastry fix like pineapple tarts in tooting. Anyway the lunch sets are either noodles or rice so I got both for lunch and dinner. What makes the chowmein and rice delicious is the five spice. One came with bbq chicken and the other fried chicken. Both were equally good as it was fried thigh meat but bbq was surprisingly good because the bbq sauce was tangy like buffalo sauce. Food takes a good 30 minutes though to arrive and there is some slight msg in the noodles and rice.

I have been here on three occasions now. First time it was with a group social, second time was father's day and the last was my birthday celebration. The service has been top, we made a number of changes to the menu i.e have the noodles with the seabass, pasta salad with the seabass, to name a few.. The roti was freshly made, the first time, some menu items were missing but the other two time no issue. Toilet is a few stairs however they could be accessed via the he court yard, I suppose.

Attended for a chilled music event. Their rum punch is nice, and it has both internal and external spaces to enjoy your visit Their food is tasty, flavoured, and well seasoned.

We shared the platters of food, Jerk chicken was decent, spicey and perfectly cooked, plantain was unbelievable. Wish we had something like this where I live!

Booked a table only to be told later thay had to cancel my booking coz there is a private party would you not know this before you take anymore bookings

A very Clean and Comfortable Venue. The Food was delicious and the Staff were very polite and well mannered. Price is reasonable.

Corner house is a complete vibe 💯from the music to the food but also the excellent customer service... its great during the day for food from the restaurant and opens up in the evening to dance your heart away to the variety of music they play... me and my friends always have good energy when we go there...

Went there over the weekend with my husband.There was a group of men who were very loud doing cocaine in the toilets on Saturday.The manager allows this behaviour because I have seen this same guy DJ in there before.

Oh my gosh, I've just found a hidden gem in South Croydon. The food is wonderful, sorry I mean fabulous, sorry but it absolutely delicious. The service is top class and the rum punch is to die for....a fabulous evening and a welcoming staff....what could be better 😀

What can I say, this is my 4th visit here at the Corner House this month of May. The food at corner house is freaking incredible. Authentic Guyanese/Jamaican cuisine. Staff are friendly, attentive and the Cocktails are on point.

My sis and I go here weekly for both a chilled day time vibe and night out. We absolutely love it. The staff are so friendly and the food and drinks are lush. Great decor, definitely instagram worthy.

If you’re looking for your one stop place to go for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks AND clubbing…Corner House is for you🤩. The food, drinks, atmosphere and staff are absolutely amazing. They even have a lovely garden area, great for the summer dining. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Not long been back from Barbados and the missus and I needed some Caribbean food in our life and come across the Corner House! Jerk 10/10!! Definitely going to keep going back to help with the holiday blues 😋

I was there for a friend's surprise b'day.

It is currently 2AM and i live in the opposite flats yet i cannot sleep due to extreme music loudness and countless fights as i am writing this there is an ongoing fight with people giving death threats at the top of their lungs. this is unacceptable.

Drinks are a bit expensive for what you get The atmosphere was ok The service was ok a bit slow It was ok nothing to go mad about

Any establishment that need to tint their windows, tarpaulin their gate (to hide what’s happening inside) has massive vehicles of customers blocking up a main road and needs two security on weekday is awful. Shockingly run and managed clearly.

Playing music so loud that it vibrates flats 50 metres down the road when its empty... coupled with the constant fights from people who frequent this venue. I'd stay well away.

Came in and there was only one person sitting at a table, didn't see any bar staff so sat at the bar and waited 10min later the person at the bar lifts her head and turns out that's the staff. Had no beer on tap so got jd and coke, costed 10 quid and came in a plastic cup. Been looking to come here for a couple of years now, feels like I should have continued looking

Lovely venue for a private party 🥳

Had a few drinks, Carlos the bartender was very friendly and gave me a good vibe on the nightclub.

Absolutely no respect for neighbours, music is always well above what it should be. Keeps everyone awake, no sound proofing and no respect for neighbours whatsoever. Also security do not tell people leaving to shut up, so there is constantly screams and out Yeats from drunks leaving this spot.

The corner house is a good venue. The staff are friendly and nice. Sadly the comedy night was a huge disappointment. The comedians weren't funny and were frankly borderline offensive. The DJs were great so the evening was fun after the so called comedy.

Nice pub, DJ was good and decent drink selection.

Friday and Saturday nights are sometimes quite in there not alot of cocktail variety not tried the food if they serve it in there sometimes no DJ even though it closes at three need to get bus there as no local free parking

Went in as opening, 2 for 1 cocktails, plenty of alcohol and decent price, good service.

We attended a joint birthday party at this venue last weekend and it was lovely. Airy, clean warm, inviting venue. All Staff were very professional, efficient, and friendly. Drinks were usual price but parking not great. Would definitely recommend visiting or hiring this venue for a lovely intimate family party or gathering.

I've been going this pub since it was 'The Blacksmiths Arms' , and had my first pint here when I was 15! A carling black label that cost £1.13 . I haven't tried the food but it looks good and they do a good deal as well. And the staff are super friendly and helpful. So a rare 5 stars from me.

Rubbish customer service. Manager was rude! Brought a bottle of Prosecco got plastic cups, but asked for glasses- told don’t have any😞. Ask for a bucket of ice for the bottle and told I can’t have one. Paid £20 for a bottle with no ice erm. Asked the manager to sort it and he was dismissive. I definitely won’t be coming back!!

Have you ever thought about your neighbours. You're called a restaurant not a nightclub with rubbish extremely loud music. Have more consideration for the area you're in.

Enjoyable day watching the football. Good atmosphere, reasonably priced, friendly staff. Could do with some decent aircon and an extra pair of hands at busy times. Craft ale choice needs improving.

We had booked a whole month before. On arrival our booking was not found and we were told that there was a private party. The manager to his credit did invite us in out of the pooring rain to be told that ‘we had clearly got this wrong’. Didn’t take any responsibility and on leaving suggested that the one month notice we gave should have been two months. Sarcasm at this point was probably unnecessary bearing in your mind we had a lengthy taxi journey and the heavens had opened. Incredibly poor service, a total lack of customer service and in no way did the manager try to address the situation or take any responsibility for the error. I will never fo in to this restaurant again and will be telling everyone that they should avoid. Its a shame after such a long tine being closed there are establishments that really don’t value customers and are quite frankly rude and dismissive. They do not deserve my custom and i would suggest you avoid.

I like the good and very fast delivery service. However, the portions are really small. The main course of green curry is mainly sauce. No aubergine at all this evening as was promised.

A pub/Thai restaurant, you can see the effort they have made however it can be difficult to build a restaurant atmosphere when the sports are on TV. The food is standard Thai, the mixed starter was mainly a lot of deep fried items. However, the Pad Thai was good. This is only one of two places to eat Thai in Croydon, so if you are craving simplicity, then this is for you.

The service wasn't great and we had to wait a long time for the food. Their mango sticky rice wasn't properly cooked and the portion size wasn't great. Personally if you want Thai you can get better than this.

Went today at lunchtime with my mum. Food was excellent and service great. Very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Was my 1st time and I will certainly be returning.

Nice quiet chilled spot but not much on offer. Even selection of soft drinks very limited. Not currently serving food - apparently changing the menu and might be serving food again in a couple of weeks

Amazing food, definitely going back

Although it was very quiet we sat in the lovely, colourful garden and the food was delicious. Just the right portion size too. Friendly service . Worth giving it a try.

Average Food and average customer service: Average experience all round!Place needs a clean, cobwebs on statues near the window tables, starters were luke warm and not tasty. Meal average.

Great food. Very relaxing and calm environment.

Very poor and over-priced. We ordered through Uber Eats and food arrived far too quickly for it to have been freshly prepared and cooked. The squid starter was chewy and greasy. Curries were very oily too and tasted like they had simply been reheated as all the ingredients lacked freshness. A disappointing experience not to be repeated.

One of the best Thai curry’s I’ve had in a while would definitely eat here again. Genuine Thai authentic taste 😋

Ordered via UberEat 3 Items: Calamari Tempura - Sorry, soggy, sloppy mess. It may be forgiven as it was delivered, thus the build up of steam within the foil container inevitably moisten the tempura within. Size is average. Beef Salad:- This was the most disappointing of the lot. Being Asian and frequent Thailand myself - this is no way a true representation of a Yum Nua at all. Char-grilled tender medium beef was in fact stir fried fully cooked chunk. Advertised Fresh mint some how became parsley! Taste was so-so but mis-sold and mis-lead by the menu Pad mee with Chicken and Prawn:- Not the best nor worst I had given the price. Distinctly average Would I ordered again? Probably not

We used Uber eats to order three curry orders. Uber delivered promptly as they should. What we got in our order was shocking. First of all they only delivered 2/3 of our curries and charged us for all three (receipt included). I understand this can happen but the 2 meals we did get were horrid. We were very hungry and couldn’t even fathom eating this. The curries were drowned in oil and had odd filler ingredients like cucumber inside. The rice was rock hard molded together and clearly from either frozen packages or microwaved pre-made food- either way not fresh or authentic. There was a small portion of rice inside plastic wrap inside a Tupperware plastic container. The plastic was melted into the food and smelled awful. I’m sorry but this was insanely bad.

Just had a take away from here my partner and I.The food was very average and small portions and I'm being charged sit down prices for a take away.I had a 'Pad ' dish ,which from my understanding means noodles in Thai,well mine came without noodles.So all in all a bit disappointed ☹️ and we won't be ordering from here again

The worst. The taste was NOT authentic. The portion sizes couldn’t satisfy a midget. The rice they use isn’t Jasmin either!

Fantastic food. Very quiet and empty as still quite new but awesome food.

It's a bar and restaurant concept which I was a little uncertain of as I walked in. But, they have split the place into two different areas. It's down to earth, with friendly and fast service, relaxed atmosphere and being part-pub has a great choice of bar drinks (Maltsmiths IPA is lovely). But the food... Wow! Absolutely lovely. I had squid to start, prawn jungle curry with egg fried rice and some prawn crackers. Just superb. It's a new place, and well worth trying. I travel to London every week for work and will be coming back.

So happy this place exists. The nicest Thai food I've had in a while. Really authentic and super tasty. Best in the area

Drinks were fine. Ambience and staff were good. Food was well below average. Ordered chicken wings but was hardly any meat on it. Pork dumplings were not very good either. We did not stay for mains as starters were disappointing.
