Coppa Club, Putney in Wandsworth

My friends planned a baby shower here in a private room, which was really lovely. The food was okay. Two people had the carbonara, which they both said was very nice. The service was good and friendly staff.

There are not many plates in London where you can enjoy a company of friends , good food and dont feel that yiu need to leave as soon as the meals are gone. I have Celebrated my birthday for the second time here and really impressed how kind and relaxed staff are.

Wiktor is a fellow lightmaker with his lovely smile and wonderful positive friendly service. He is a star and an asset to Coppa! Thank you!

It was a good place to enjoy a quieter and more leisurely dinner than the Copa Club London Bridge branch. The kindness and friendliness of the staff were impressive, and the atmosphere was good not only in the igloo seats but also in the inside seats, so I think you can have a good experience no matter where you sit. I would like to rate the taste of this place a little higher than the Google rating. The signature pizza was also delicious, and the atmosphere, menu, taste, and service were all excellent.

I have always enjoyed the great food, service and ambience at Coppa Club, but had THE BEST TIME when I came on Monday 16th September when the most wonderful guy who was working made our evening (and a very very special birthday) so so amazing <3 <3 It really made my week and still smile thinking of the evening. Thank you so so much and we will be back! <3 <3

Really, really nice food with very friendly and attentive service. We ordered lots of little dishes including the Baratta with an unbelievably good mint pesto, the beef tataki, the salmon carpaccio, the pizzetta which was an absolutely perfect crust straight from Naples and the prawns. Not an inexpensive place but you felt you were paying a fair price for food of this quality and the view came for free. Highly recommend.

I’m editing my review in response to your reply below which I find to be incredibly patronising! I am nearly 50 and well aware of the difference between a maggot and cous cous! The waiter also could see exactly what it was and apologised. He would definitely not have apologised for a tiny bit of cous cous! I would have been much less inclined to leave this review had this been taken seriously and a manager come out to speak to us. My daughter said at the time that we should have taken a photograph. I find your response entirely inappropriate. We left feeling sickened by what had happened! Original message… We’ve had a couple of nice breakfasts here but sadly today has ruined this. My daughter ordered a matcha and on her last sip had to fish something out of her mouth…a maggot 🤢 Absolutely disgusting!!! We called the waiter over who said a quick sorry and said he’d take it off our bill. We left feeling sickened and repulsed and won’t be returning as maggots indicate pretty poor hygiene!

Coppa Club has become my regular destination for coffee and food. The staff are extremely kind and approachable and are always interacting with the kid I look after, making him laugh and smile constantly, and it's become a spot he looks forward to going. Thanks to Sophie, Greg, Adam, and all Coppa staff for their great customer service 👏

Amazing spot for an afternoon lunch

Absolutely love this place, and coming regularly. Amazing Staff, food and drinks with great service. Coppa Club has amazing views by the Thames and is a really relaxing environment. As it is very spacious, it's perfect to bring the pram or to meet others with Prams and kids. Very highly recommend:-)

I was here for a birthday dinner. The food is okay enough. Not at all bad or disappointing or anything, but not mind-blowingly good in that anything specifically stood out. The portions are large and the starters are great for sharing, plus for the neighbourhood and location, the prices are fair. However, where this place shines is the location. It is right on the water with the most gorgeous sunsets. In the summer at dinnertime, it’s glorious. The service is friendly and good, attentive. The inside of the restaurant can be semi-formal or sports lounge-y with the big screens, depending on which side of the large dining room you sit at. They looked like they had a great brunch menu as well so would definitely come back to check it out. Well situated for a walk by the river afterwards or going into Wandsworth Park for a nice post-meal digestive walk. Recommend, would come back.

The restaurant is very beautiful, great interior design, with relaxing outdoor area. Lucky to grab an outdoor table to have lunch with a gorgeous view. Food is delicious, it’s good that can order food in half portion, enough for gals. Putney Bridge is just next to the restaurant, can have a nice walk along the river after dining at Coppa. A very good dining experience, will definitely visit again.

Excellent atmosphere and service. Lovely views of the Thames, book the igloo pods outside for a great table! Food is good without being great.

Tasty food but tiny portions Not good value- will not return

Fabulous, big space with comfortable seating in different areas, nicely decorated with plants, pictures and books. It's by the river and there is a large seating area outside. The waiters were very attentive and considerate. The food was good as well.

The food lets this place down. Flash steak is welldone, even if they ask whether you want it pink and food lacks real flavour. To top it off, staff aren’t the most friendly.

The starters were amazing, the zucchini fritti and seasonal crudités (especially the apricot harissa yoghurt) were excellent. The mains lack veg options and could do with improving to the same high standard. The dessert was nice too.

The location is superb, great place to sit outdoors in the square next to the Thames. We really like the design on the place also. Sadly the food lets them down a bit. We paid £12.50 for a tiny Greek salad that consisted of some tomatoes and a sprinkling of olives and feta. The portion size for £12.50 was a bit of a joke. If this place could sort out its disappointing food, it was be so much better

Great service and really nice atmosphere in the igloo, we really enjoyed that. Food was nice too, we tried every starter and the tuna steak was the dish of the day amongst us.

Wonderful place with very lovely food. We really loved the Zucchini Fritti, Tuna Stake and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Also I had a very delicious cocktail called Peach Melbatini. Najam was our waiter and we were impressed about him, about his professionalism and politeness. We highly recommend this place ❤️

I've never tasted a more insipid fish and chips anywhere! Thinking ordering this they couldn't possibly fail me to which I was surprised. The rest of us had: Caeser's salad; small bits of green sparsed with little else, pizza; Limited toppings and all in the centre with the rest being dry dough, spaghetti carbonara again a child portion anywhere else and as per the sauce heated package job! As per the service very non attentive and when attended utterly unhelpful and clueless. True to form nothing has changed in this place since the last time I visited which was 2 years ago. As least there's consistency there for you!!!

Avoid at all costs. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. Ruined my birthday celebrations on 2 occasions. We have attended this location twice as my friends bought be a voucher for my birthday, as I wanted to have dinner in an igloo. The first time I travelled from Norwich for the dinner. We arrived (5 minutes early) and they had given our igloo away. They said they couldn’t find my booking despite me confirming the day before via email. They gaslighted me into thinking I had booked it on the wrong date/location but I had booking confirmation stating we were correct. We left had a lovely meal at Franca man a (opposite and highly recommend instead of here). As we had a voucher we wanted to try again. So we booked again igloo booked, arrived. They had to remove someone from our igloo. At the end of the meal we checked the bill, redeemed the voucher and they charged us for the wrong igloo. £52 each!!! When it should have been £30. Went in to get reimbursed and they said we couldn’t are the till wouldn’t let them. So went away paying for extra food we didn’t eat. Weren’t offered anything for this. Just told to fill out a form to be refunded. The waiter said this will take longer than 6 months. Appalled but the lack of treatment. Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend unless you want your birthday meal ruined…. Twice.

Lovely place by the Thames, nice outside and cosy inside. The menu was good and food tasty. Staff are nice and well meaning but could do with slight improvements in management who help the staff deliver better eg not all tables checked if service required (staff just not looking), stock of popular items running out (my friend has been 4 times and you run out of French rose mid afternoon every time). The product is good, staff are young and attentive, with a few tweaks you would be 5 star.

I visited this restaurant yesterday for a 60th birthday meal and we were seated in one of the igloos. The server who served us had to take our order down twice due to issues with his iPad. I ordered a greek salad (£12) with chicken added (£5) and when the server brought the food it came without the added chicken and they also nearly forgot someone else's meal which we had to remind them to get. We also ordered a Strawberry and Watermelon Spirtz and a Strawberry and Watermelon Cooler and the server put down 2 of the spritz instead of one of each which we had to get corrected. When it came to paying at the end, they had still kept the added chicken on the receipt which we then had to get removed. Wouldn't come back due to terrible service and very overpriced food.

Nice place but the food was awful. Would give the food 0 stars if i could. Cocktails were lovely but the food was just bland. I ordered the beef stew pasta and it was just pasta swimming in water with a bit of meat and barely any flavour. Was excited this could be a great local summer spot, but sadly the prices are extortionate and food is just awful. Just go to the spoons across

I came here for my birthday with my partner and I booked one of the igloos. It was an incredibly romantic and relaxing atmosphere! The food was delicious as well!

Recommended. On the southbank of the River Thames at Putney with excellent views across the River. There is great indoor and outdoor seating, indoors is modern and stylish, the tables are nicely spaced and the service is great. The food is delicious and the menu has something for everyone. Wheelchair friendly, dog friendly and really nice staff.

Came here with a friend for a special occasion, bear in mind we travelled around an hour and a half for this. We were both really let down by the experience. We were one of three tables in the restaurant and felt totally ignored we ordered drinks when our mains came out, and they arrived when we had finished our food. Drinks were lovely don’t get me wrong. No check back to ask how we were doing and our food was covered in grease. Asked for the bill and they put a 10% service charge on, I’m usually a huge tipper but declined and left. Decided to go to bills for breakfast the next day and we probably should’ve eaten there for lunch… avoid!

I was better served at Wetherspoons. It Took them 20 min to get a glass of wine to the table after having to order twice. Service charge kept going up on the bill despite their negligence . Overall the steak was good but didn’t justify the price.

Myself and 2 friends had a pod on a Friday night and had the best time! Great staff, couldn't be more attentive and friendly. Pods are beautiful, food was lovely, good time had by us all.

Lovely restaurant in pretty area of Putney. Drinks and service were excellent. Food was a bit disappointing. I ordered a pizza and it was very well done. The crusts were very hard so I didn’t eat much of it. Otherwise good restaurant.

My wife and I had the most memorable wedding reception dinner at Coppa Club by the river last year. After tirelessly searching for the perfect venue with a private room for our small group, we found this gem. The lovely manager and attentive staff made our special day stress-free, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. The food was exceptional with plenty of choices, and the drinks complemented the meal perfectly. The charming ambiance and private room created the perfect atmosphere for celebrating with our friends and family. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion!

Had a lovely dinner last night. Mum loved the carbonara and my caesar salad with chalk stream trout was very tasty, my friend enjoyed hers too, but had it with halloumi. Nice bottle of Gavi too.

It was my first time and it was very nice. The igloo is a bit cold but it was nice atmosphere. Make sure to check the menu properly as I have been charged extra for items that usually are included in the menu. The service was good and the food was good too. I would recommend it after all.

Took my mum here for her birthday in one of the igloos and it was great! Attentive staff, beautiful view of the river, great and filling food. The igloo was nice and heated too!

We came in as a spare of the moment decision to see if we could have aome drinks in the igloo, thw greeting we gad was very friendly and welcoming & accommodated us at short notice & We happened to mention we were celebrating my girlfriends birthday to the hostess who seated us, shortly after our first drinks arriving Dino, our waiter brought us out a birthday surprise plate with happy birthday written in chocolate & small pot of sorbet with a lit candle. This was a wonderful & thoughtful surprise which made our night. So thank you Dino for being so kind & everyone else on the night x

Came here one evening for dinner with my girlfriend, the food was good but what we really enjoyed was the atmosphere of being sat in the Igloos on a quiet spot on the Thames. The staff were so accommodating and friendly we will definitely want to come back.

Great family meal in a beautiful setting.

Had an igloo which was okay. I noted that the good came out of the restaurant without being covered and it was drizzly rain outside🙈, then for our main it was the same situation, good uncovered, we ordered steak and fries, a steak knife would of been useful!! And the skinny fries so overdone if you tried to use a fork they jumped off the plate so easier to use your fingers😆 and then there was the staff entertainment, a heated exchange on the phone between a husband a wife which was bluer than my husband's steak. All in all £164.00 for what could be described as a total waste of money.

Staff is always too busy to serve or ask if you need another drink. I have visited Coppa many times, and it's always a long wait to get the attention from staff. No napkin provided when seved food either.

In the transparent cabin, the heating is good and the layout is good But the food is okay...if the price and quality are compared, the CP value is not high, I think the price is for the atmosphere😹 However, when we entered the restaurant outside, we saw mice running around in the transparent cabin, so when we went to sit in the cabin we were assigned to, we checked to see if there were any small holes in our cabin that could allow mice to enter.

Very nice place, great service, just went for drinks on a Saturday evening, so can't judge the food, must be lovely in the summer as its on the river

We had booked an igloo room a month in advance for my friends birthday and we were so excited to come here as we had never been before and come specially here to have dinner in the igloos. Only to find they had double booked us and sat someone else instead. We were really disappointed and have never been doubled booked at a restaurant before. We showed them the full booking with all of our details and all they could offer us was a free drink. So disappointed as we travelled all the way to london specially for this.

This place is amazing, incredible staff and atmosphere. The FOH staff are great although the bar staff could be quicker.

I had a great experience at Coppa Club. We were seated within 5-10 minutes. While the outdoor heated igloos were fully booked until January, we managed to secure a delightful window seat, which more than sufficed. The food was excellent; I enjoyed the Caesar salad with trout, and my wife opted for the mozzarella garlic bread, essentially a pizza without tomato sauce. Overall, this place is fantastic, and I highly recommend dining here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a great time with loved ones and friends. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the environment was wonderful. The service was also excellent. The meal was the only thing i didn't like. I had prawns for my starter, which had a very unique texture, cabonora for my main course, which was really salty, and a flourless cake for dessert, which was a decent-sized but found it very dry and rich flavour, so I needed lots of water. Overall my experience was okay. I would definitely go back for drinks only next time.

The food was tasty and the igloos cute. But our coffees were cold and took forever to come and then the machine broke down.

Went here tonight 16th Dec 2023. Table 20 arrived at 20:15 paid at 21:21. The food was really tasty and in all fairness it came quickly and was reasonably priced so can't complain about that. However the service was a bit rubbish. The waiter that served us initially, male, curly hair was very poor. I had to call over to him as he walked past our table to ask to order some drinks. He genuinely looked surprised to see us like we had just sat down in his living room. He took our order, didn't provide us with much confidence and when the drinks came the wine was red and not the pinot that was ordered. But we weren't that fussed about that. Our starters arrived quickly and were very tasty. Once we had finished them the plates sat on our table for ages whilst our waiter wondered around looking confused not tending to us or the other tables nearby. At 9pm I think he must have gone home or had a break as then we had another waiter who's service was excellent. Place is lovely inside and the food was good. Service not great.

Disappointing experience today. We waited a long time for drinks (a pint and a glass of wine) even though it wasn’t busy. Also waited a long time for food and the fries were cold, so I sent it back and the waiter didn’t apologise. The flat iron steak was stringy and chewy (see pics) so I asked a different staff member if that was how it usually looked - they said yes but were helpful and offered me something else instead so I chose grilled chicken (which was fine). Asked the original waiter for the bill and it hadn’t come after 10 mins so I went to the desk to pay. There is an online payment method but it wouldn’t let me take off the optional 12.5% service charge which I didn’t want to pay. They were pleasant at the desk but it seemed difficult for them to remove the optional service charge from the bill (even though they were happy to do so).

This was a dinner date that we made reservation for. On entry / sitting we got the Christmas seasonal menu which the waiter mentioned was new or the first time they were serving from it. It looked appealing so ordered from that menu as well as the usual menu. When the food arrived some items were missing so I mentioned this to the serving staff who rectified it but with some wait. I found the service a bit slow and difficult to get hold of people to ask for more water, drinks or the bill. The food was delicious so won’t take that away and the atmosphere was great for the evening setting. When we requested for the bill and it arrived I found it rather odd that the staff stood there ready to take payment asap but we requested for some time to look through the bill before paying. The restaurant is easily accessible from Putney station or Putney Bridge station and a walk away. Also option to reserve the Igloo for more intimate setting.

I went here for dinner on Saturday and we had a really lovely time. Started out with some great cocktails at the bar. Dinner itself was good - all the food was delicious and our waitress was absolutely the best! I think her name was Rosie - but she was so sweet and really attentive!

Great place at a great location, the 2 boys serving our table were very nice and attentive to us. Portions are very small though, with the same money, at preto restaurant you get a lot more.. I would also recommend it for coffee, it’s good and cheaper than bigger chains.

Location and decor is very good , service was absolutely awful. We were left for a very long time and kept having to ask and call staff for drinks order . Managed to get one drink after a very long wait. Main course came , asked for Parmesan for our pasta, waited for 8 minutes for waiter to bring over, by this time our food was going cold and really getting frustrated with the whole experience . We then had to hail a member of staff to order coffee, by this time we gave up as they came wrong . Ended up going to another restaurant for dessert couldn’t take no more . Awful service and quality of food . Restaurant was not even busy so no excuse for level of service.One of the worst restaurants I have been too and would not recommend .

The waiter who served us, adam gave us the best of service. I felt like we was given very genuine service and the waiter truly tried his best to accommodate all of our needs. Top man!

Great place next to the river for a quiet lunch. The domes are also fun to get that "outside" feeling when it is cold out.

My friends and I went for brunch on Sunday. Our booking was for one of the igloos. The party was formed by 3 adults and 2 toddlers, of which I informed them in advance requesting 2 highchairs. When I got there, the staff were not aware of the highchairs and I reminded them on arrival. These are some issues we had: Service was slow They didn't give us menus and had to look for them online The drinks arrived when we were nearly finishing and had to go ask for them I ordered the croissant and it was MOULDY! I only noticed when I was halfway and checked the back and saw green When mentioned the staff went to check and came back confirming it was mouldy and if I wanted a new one, to which I said just remove it from the bill When the bill came, the croissant was still there and said that because they had put a £10 manager's discount that was covering it No one apologised for the mouldy croissant We had to leave quite quickly because of the kids but in other circumstances I would have stayed and asked to speak with the person in charge In summary, it is a lovely place in an amazing location with competitive prices but the slowness of the service and lack of customer care doesn't help to attract customers. I will think twice before going again or recommend it to friends.

My favorite part about dinner last night at Coppa Club was by far the ambiance! What a cozy, relaxing getaway from the busy central London dining scene. We had a nice table outside in comfy seating overlooking the river. An aperol spritz was the perfect addition to the sunny evening! I ordered the aubergine dish. I was slightly underwhelmed and wished there was more tahini sauce involved! Next time I would go for the pizza or pasta!

Love love love the food and our waiter was top notch! The carbonara and the prawn linguine I could eat daily.

Great place in Putney. Absolutely everything is on point. The staff are truly wonderful, all are friendly and personable. The atmosphere is great, could and have spent hours there!

Excellent restaurant by the river in Putney. Honestly I had my eye on this restaurant and wanted to try it for a whole. Today K went there as it was a surprise. Staff are extremealy friendly and they want you to feek comfortable and at home when you visit Coppa. They have a good sized menu and I personally loved the burger which I was a bit skeptical off as all burgers are very similar and because the waiter mentioned they only cook it pink and that sounded to me like a bloody burger but to be honest I was surprised of how good and juicy it was, there was no blood at all and it was just like a medium to medium well burger. Coppa is by the river so you can get a good view of nature there and it is also 10 minutes away from a park so it is really well located. Prices were decent for the quality of food they provide and they are prepared to give you good recommendations in case ypu are not really sure about what you want to have.

It's a quick visit to have a catch up with friends over drinks with some starters but it seems like they are not enough to serve all customers' orders...

I live locally and have been frequenting Coppa since its arrival in Putney Wharf. On Saturday 12th August we went to Coppa at 21.35 for our usual post dinner drink to find - No one greeted us - Four tables, including ours were full of cups, glasses, plates and cutleries left from the previous clients. - Several waiting staff passed by our table but ignored us for the next 20 minutes, during which time we saw 2 servers taking simultaneous break (they were eating in the kitchen) when the lounge had no serving staff (but there were 3 bar staff) - We complained about our wait and eventually were served our drinks. The service was appalling but they charged us for the service. Despicable! - The remaining 3 tables were left uncleaned until close to our departure time 22.55. For those handling food and drinks, please keep your hair tidy. I do miss the previous team of staff as they were efficient, friendly and professional.
