Absolutely shocking what they have done, cancelled 2 days before Xmas. It’s a disgrace, there’s no point in opening back up after this you are all the talk of the town no one will return to coopers after this shamble what a mess. Not even just that my friend had a baby shower a few weeks ago they had no heating on and the bar next door is covered in mould roofs falling apart no one should be in there for health and safety you can get shut down for having staff and customers walk through there.They must have not had heating on for a while every time I drive past on my way to work staff and customers are in jackets. They will be lucky if anyone returns after this not a good look on them what so ever. So sad because they owners have ran it too the ground nothing like this happened when worren owned it. DISGRACEFUL and SICK what are people meant to do for Christmas now

Booked table for Xmas day ( following what seemed to be improved service in November) had confirmation on 21st December after seeing a message on their Facebook page that they will not be opening for Xmas They have been closed for the last few days, phone number comes back as unrecognised, but their website is still taking bookings

Returned dish as sauce requested on side but dish served with sauce poured over food. Was then served raw chicken!! Very disappointed.

Visited on Friday with family for a high tea. Setting is spacious, really modern and clean. Customer service is first class, friendly and nothing is a problem. The high tea was delicious with plenty of tasty fresh sandwiches, scones and cakes. Very reasonably priced. Certainly recommend.

Five of us pitched for afternoon tea. The welcome and service was outstanding. The venue is clean, modern and comfortable. The pots of tea were replenished as required. The selection of sandwiches were great and the bread was so soft snd fresh. We also loved the selection of cakes and hot scones. Will definitely be our go to place when visiting Alloa.

1st visit for some time and it was excellent. We tried the high tea for two people and it was 1st class. More than enough choice and selection of sandwiches and other stuff. Would recommend this to everyone

Booked a table for 2 last minute and it wasn't an issue. Good welcome on arrival and put us to a table of our choice, again no issue. Ordered our drinks and meal, which was served in good time. I had a steak and it was cooked as asked for. It was a nice meal. My partners meal was a success too. Desert and coffee rounded it off. Overall a pleasant experience and the 2 staff we dealt with were both proffessional and friendly. Tbh we've been here a few times over last few year and we've never had any reason to complain. Well worth a visit.

A lovely, relaxed evening at Coopers last night. There were 10 of us in the group and both the main courses and desserts were given positive reviews. I had the salmon from the specials menu and it was delicious. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive (not too much!). I’d recommend.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere we were made to feel really special and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful family staff would highly recommend can't praise Coopers highly enough 5 stars

Cannot fault the restaurant and new team this evening. We got in ordered our drinks as we got our menus and order our food as soon as the drinks arrived as we were on restricted time going to watch a play. They were happy to give us more time if we needed it though. We ordered a main off the standard menu and a main off the specials. Lots of choices that you would expect for a pub/restaurant menu and priced accordingly. They arrived quickly and we cleared our plates, it was lovely. Unfortunately, there were only 4 choices on the dessert menu which I would deem to be 4 very sweet choices so we passed on dessert, paid, and left. Personally, I have always had good experiences in Coopers, and this evening it was for us a quick pre-theatre meal - after previously being disappointed at Inglewood being overpriced for the standard of service and food. And Coopers didn't disappoint.

Clearly bought over recently. Staff very pleasant, restaurant itself is lovely and in the area should be busy but just isn’t. I phoned elsewhere at 3pm for Sunday dinner and it was fully booked all night. Here no issue getting a table. In 2hrs there was us and 2 other tables. Was actually encouraged to leave a review so doing so. My tomato and basil soup was pink. Was like the colour of a pakora sauce from a takeaway but in all honestly was relatively ok but full of milk. At least had flavour. My curry main was diabolical for a restaurant. Looked like an Asda micro curry, had as much chicken in it in the exact same tiny pieces and tasted as bland. Poppadom out a packet as was the naan. Genuinely laughable. Yes they asked if it was fine I kind of laughed and the older guy knew it wasn’t but I just went with it. I wouldn’t have reviewed but I was told to. My partner said hers was fine. Basically we’ve got a fine (which means at best average) and terrible. This restaurant is in a good location, the restaurant is very fresh itself, has a great outdoor seating area and changes hands too frequently. Alloa has one decent pub food restaurant that clearly thrives, it shouldn’t be difficult to have another. The area is plenty big enough.

Seven of the family had a Sunday evening meal at Coopers. The service was very friendly and relaxed. The food was delicious and we would certainly come again. Well done.

We booked a table for 28/9/22 4:30pm. On arrival restaurant was in darkness. Lovely waiter advised us that they have a mid day break between 3-5pm. Their app hadn’t taken this into account allowing me to book a 4:30pm slot. Instead of turning us away. The restaurant was opened and we had place to ourselves. Quick delicious food served by well mannered and polite staff. Can’t recommend enough. Especially since the booking was for my mums birthday - we were happy they accommodated us.

Have been for a couple of evening meals here and always been good. Today we tried the new lunch menu, great value for money 2 course for £10 or 3 for £14. There was a lot of choice also, it was almost impossible to decide. Food is always freshly prepared, nicely presented and tastes great. (Would double the portion of mac n cheese, but that's only because its so good!) The staff are always very chatty and welcoming when we've been. Will definitely be back.
