chips were like they were cooked yesterday and reheated tasted stale. oil left in the trey where the fish was looked like old oil.

Delicious food, served hot. Highly recommend.

Second time ordering since the shop has been done out. Second order that was awful. Nearly £40 of food and most of it thrown out. What a waste. Sausage in batters, guaranteed they were yesterday’s and refried. Chips were awful. Fruity Curry was like water with hardly any taste and it was all barely like warm and so greasy. This was always a favourite. Not any more

Food was excellent, even though the homemade steak pie doesn’t look very tasty it’s absolutely delicious. The driver however went around the houses to get here, which seems odd.

I think this place is terrible in my opinion I’ve seen so many people complain about this place and the way they treat their customers is absolutely disgusting I will never go there again after hearing such awful things about this place and their attitude

food is just below average. Did not look very hygienic. Where the toilets are at the back were a complete mess. prices aren’t bad tho

Fish and chips can be just that and one chip shop is no better than another. But we have and continue to have fish and chips from Conti's because they are the best around. Taste the batter, lovely and the quality is first class. Sad to read the negative comments but it seems it's not about the Establishment it's the third party used to order and deliver. Negative comments should reflect this and the third party should be informed. I think Conti's quality is superb. By the way I'm tucking into fish and chips from there as I write my review.

Ordered the meal deal Jumbo sausage in batter Jumbo sausage Rissole Large chips Coke and Gravy. All the food came in a fish box.. Small portion of chips (supposed to be large) Jumbo sausage over cooked..inedible and got thrown in the bin!

I have been having conties for yrs the fish is allways crispy little or no fat .this time the fish inside was lovely, but the batter was soft floppy the tray had loads of liquid fat at the bottom it was like the fish had come out and was put straight into tray we're it goes into the hot container to drip off never enjoyed it one bit sorry. I don't know why I'm doing this review as I've done some before and you don't do nothing about it thanks wendy

Stay away!! Robbing people left right and center!!! Quick enough taking your money but don’t deliver the food!!! You contact them and as you can guess what I’m about to say! It’s just eats fault!! Take responsibility for your actions!!! My 3 year old sons know when he’s done wrong yes a grown ass man/woman can’t!! Absolutely disgusting!!

Was on time after the delivery time was changed twice. Large pie was not large. Mushy peas were all mush with one pea. Gravy tasted burnt. Pie and rissole squashed flat and contents emptied on the paper. Drink was missing. All food was cold.

food quality was great, plenty of flavour, decent size portions, issue was the DRIVER he had gave me the wrong order and then lied about it saying that the restaurant gave it to him this was not true, as I went to the restaurant to resolve the issue and discussed it with staff who were more than helpful, by telling me that the driver did infact take multiple orders at the same time ignoring warnings that the staff had said that he'd get mixed up (which he did)

compared to previous orders I was very dissatisfied. the portion sizes have been reduced significantly and £1.85 for a portion of boil in the bag rice is terrible. the tupperware box of chicken curry was half full which I thought was very unfairly priced also.

Haven’t had food from conti’s in 25 years. Pleased to say as good as it’s always been.

Very nice fish and chips, but expensive for the size of fish and quantity of chips, especially when delivery and other charges are added. I'm all for quality over quantity, but the high price and small portion size compared to other nice fish and chip shops in the area has put us off ordering again, unfortunately.

Lovely food could do with a few more chips in a portion compare to other chip shops. Curry sauce is spot on

Food is always delicious. Customer services was appalling, I accidently put the order through as collection rather than delivery, phoned the shop and the staff member didn't let me finish my sentence before she said you have to cancel your order and put another one through for delivery. My partner collected the order and told him I wanted to cancel the order which wasn't the case. I wanted to see if I could get it delivered and I would pay the driver the delivery charge.

Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered 45 minutes before they closed through JustEat (granted its a Friday night so expected a bit of a wait) however after 2 and half hours of waiting they decided to cancel the order. So now it's 11pm and we still haven't eaten. Absolutely disgusting. If you actually want to eat food go else where.

Good food that’s let down by staff that would rather chat about Dickinson's Real Deal than serve the queue of over 5 people. Also there’s a minimum card spend of £3 that’s not stated anywhere. Absurdity and they clearly have no regard for the not so well off.

Food was lovely but there was a mistake in the order, we ordered a jumbo sausage as someone in the household doesn’t eat batter and mistakenly got sent one in batter! Which meant that person missed out. Other than that, the food was delicious, hot, and delivered really quickly. Would order again.

Food was absolutely lovely. Chips were freshly cooked and the sausage was delicious also curry sauce was great too.

The food was good and the staff were friendly But some of the staff could do with learning to be more discreet and observant of the surroundings when working in a professional manor and not talking shop in a loud voice when Members of the public are around

I’m new to the area and been trying to find a good chippy, I’m so glad I came here, the chips were really nice, gravy was good and the sausage and batter was absolutely lovely, genuinely recommended going here!

Gorgeous food, the online ordering system can be tricky but worth the hassle. It's the best traditional fish and chip shop around, with a twist .... you can get sweet treats too. Custard slices, cherry bakewell and even mason jar deserts.

delicious fish, lovely size portion and although there didn't seem to be loads if chips it was actually just the right size portion to go with the large fish. The battery was nice and crisp. I am looking forward to the coffee puff but it will have to wait until the dogs have had their share of the sausage I ordered for them. Quick delivery was appreciated too as well as the phone call to offer me a different cake as my first choice was out of stock.

Quite a regular with this chip shop, however I will not ever eat / order from here again. Fruity curry like water. Bag of chips- there must have been around 10 ot these. Poor quality, very disappointed

Always have lovely food from contis, weather it's chips n something, or a breakfast, fish, its always nicely cooked and when i have a delivery its always still hot n lovely to eat. And all the staff are friendly and one of the best fish shops around 👌

I live in New Zealand. Placed an online order for my mother who is the local hospital. Ordered directly through their website. Which states: Order directly from our website and cut out the middle man fees! Food didn't arrive and when my father called to enquire was told that he needs to call the delivery company. Absolute joke. Still accepted payment though

item was left on door- door was not knocked. didn't see until 30 mins later as I needed to go to my car. this resulted in food being cold. chips were burnt and crispy and bread rolls were too small for the price charged. totally disappointed with this order, not acceptable
