Incredible food, great ambience and 10/10 customer service. Aunty is a pleasure to be around, and always caters to all of our needs. I have eaten in small groups of 2, and have done birthday dinners of up to 15 and the experience never falters. Best Kenyan cuisine in London!

Food is pretty sub-standard. Not Michelin star. Quite frankly, you’re better off eating at home or else where. Drinks are too expensive for nothing and they never even have the drinks that you want. The bar staff and owner will even try and stiff you for your drinks/ bills if they think you’re too inebriated to remember. So try and stay sober I suppose and on the ball. So disgraceful. As for the people that frequent the place? Where do I start? It’s full of losers, scumbags, tools, reprobates, degenerate, hideous, African men, who think they can talk to women like trash. These scumbags even think in their sick minds that they might have a chance with you. It’s disgusting and appalling. These lowlives try to sound intelligent in their inebriated state but end up sounding and looking like fools. Not a place to go to if you just want to deal with normal, intelligent humans and enjoy your drink in peace or have a decent convo with normal humans. Definitely won’t be visiting again. You can visit at your own risk people.

Honestly. I used to adore OITA. I still very much enjoy the food and the service. It's always above par, really fantastic. However, for some time now, they have installed TVs throughout the restaurant and outside. And now in the last 3 visits, football has been played on these TVs. From what I could see, this was never requested by a patron, but the staff. Oita used to be the only place around that was just a restaurant, not a bar/pub (there's 5 in walking distance). And it's a shame that the lovely vibes of music and indoor/outdoor garden have been spoilt by this visual/auditory distraction. I'll be visiting other local restaurants instead if this continues... As an example, I was celebrating my birthday there with a meal, and halfway through the evening, the TV behind my friends heads pops on, and the Qualifying for the world cup was put on. Not only was it as mentioned super distracting, but it just feels so out of place when you're trying to eat dinner with friends, it only seeks to take away from conversation. Again, this isn't a pub/bar. And qualifying for the world cup shouldn't be important enough for an exception. When it was sunny and outside, the TVs would also be playing sound, which is even worse, and honestly ruined my last evening there.
