The food and ambience was really nice. Harsh and Dhruv gave a really nice service to us and were very sweet.

The food was not delivered. No driver turned up. After almost 2hrs of waiting, the restaurant called me 3 times & asked me to collect it myself. After I collected it the delivery driver arrived at the restaurant (2hrs after the order was placed) & called me saying it wasn’t fair that he didn’t get paid & asked for my 4 digit number. This is shocking service & behaviour from your service & driver. The food was cold & dry. I haven’t received the delivery or the food. Full refund requested

After a long day at work it felt like a relaxing evening. The food was amazing. The atmosphere and vibe of the place was really unique. The service by Parthamesh stood out the most. He recommended us great vegetarian dishes and checked on us if the food was good or not later. It really felt amazing to be treated so kindly. Thank you !!!🙏🏼

Had to leave a review due to sheer disappointment after coming to the kingston branch! I LOVE this chain, the flavours, the menu, the atmosphere, the service, I have always been so impressed whenever I’ve visited numerous other branches with friends and family. This branch however left me and my whole table in utter shock at the food we were served as well as the service. The lamb Kofte was beyond overcooked and seasoned totally wrong, to the point it tasted like I was eating in an Indian restaurant not a Middle Eastern restaurant! The mixed grill, again over cooked. The whole restaurant team were Indian (which is absolutely fine) but they have clearly decided to prepare the menu according to an Indian palate not for a Middle Eastern menu. There wasn’t 1 waiter assigned to us but 4, so whenever we wanted to order something or request something else like tissues or water, we would either have to wait until one of them remembered or we had to go through the whole lot of them till we were served with what was asked. When I spoke to the manager Benny regarding the overcooked Indian food, he gave me a crappy answer of “it’s the same recipe in every branch and customers have been complaining that the meat is undercooked so that’s why we cook it like this instead of the usual pink and soft kofte typical of middle eastern cuisine” he then sent over a pot of tea as some sort of rectification. Definitely will not be visiting this branch again.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience While the roasted salmon I ordered was of average quality, the service I received was below par. This was particularly disappointing as it was a special occasion, celebrating mother birthday. Furthermore, I was surprised by the inconvenience encountered during the ordering process. Despite ordering online twice, the second order was mistakenly sent to a different branch. When I contacted the incorrect branch to request a refund, I was met with unhelpful and inefficient customer service. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and make the necessary improvements to ensure that future customers have a more positive dining experience.

My Misus and I were pleasantly surprised at how kind, friendly and hospitable the staff were, especially the Manager. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back.

I have really enjoyed dining at Comptoir prior to this experience. This was my first experience dining at the Kingston branch and unfortunately I won’t be returning. Staff were pleasant enough but the food was more suited to an Indian palate. The meat was overcooked and dry. When we raised the issue with the manager Benny, he unfortunately dismissed it saying that the majority of customers prefer it overcooked. No Benny, if I wanted overcooked meat then I’ll go to the local Indian takeout and ask for a sheek kebab. Being half Middle Eastern and half Indian , i definitely know when a Lebanese grill is overcooked and when something is cooked in an Indian style. I would stick to other branches of comptoir, Kings Road, West End, Liverpool st or shepherds Bush. Sorry Benny…learn to take customer feedback on rather than dismissing it and schooling us on how meat should be cooked.

Always a good evening at this restaurant, food is delicious, decor fantastic and just by the river. Service is not always the best and could be improved but the food is why we come back

We had a wonderful meal selection with suggestions from Shubham who gave us some lovely tips. We loved the freshly prepared mezze platter and an array of favourites like the batata harra and falafel. I had a great time at Comptoir Libanais during my recent visit. The lamb burger was delicious, packed with flavor, and the lemonade was just the right balance of sweet and tangy. Mohit, our server, was outstanding—attentive and made sure everything was spot-on. This place is a must-visit!

We had a special birthday meal there for 32 guests. The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. They had part of the restaurant dedicated to us and their service was excellent. The food was so tasty and we had a lovely time.

With family and friends we visited restaurant from the same brand in Kensington. The experience was amazing Sadly I cannot say the same for the restaurant in Kingston We went for late lunch , restaurant was nearly empty and we waited to be seated. It was 10 min wait until someone came to seat us in. Then the wait was followed by 15 min for until someone came to take our order. Food arrived quickly which is great what a improvement. Seeing the aubergine - halloumi burger I can clearly understand that this burger has been hit by the inflation. 2 thin slice of aubergine bonded with 2 thinner slices of overcook halloumi all of that squeezed between large brioche bud generously covered in sauce. For £16 is unacceptable. Tabbouleh salad was also hit by the same inflation rate and but the taste of unseasoned parsley was even worse. The slow cooked chicken with olives and couscous was average My daughter received used kids menu for painting and drawing which good - saving threes anyway the child did understand when I tried to explain to her. The only good thing was the beer from Camden brewery- thumbs up for that. Will I recommend it to someone - No Will I return back here - No I hope the one in Kensington will not fail down as the one in Kingston

The Chicken Shawarma and the chocolate mousse are a must try when you visit Comptoir Lebanese near the Kingston Riverside. The ambiance is bright and colourful that makes you feel really exotic and the staff is very prompt. Kaushal (one of them members of their team) was really friendly and quick! The overall experience was lovely!

We have been going here on and off for the last 10 years and usually love it but today was abysmal. First, one of our starters was wrong. When clearing up the starter the waitress dropped a dirty knife into my friend’s glass of wine which she kindly replaced but with a glass much smaller than had initially been served. Then when delivering the mains they gave us the couscous and 10 mins later the aubergine dish. Then when bringing the bill they overcharged us by £30!!!! So we had to send the bill back twice. They charged us for two items on the main menu, which were on the lunch menu and tried to charge us for two large glasses of wine totalling £30!! ( friends I was with were Italian could not believe they were with being charged £30 for 2 average glasses of wine) . I clarified she never asked which size she wanted, had replaced my friends glass with one smaller than small. I mean it’s either one or the other, no? This never came with an apology and she then proceeded to add £9 service charge. I mean seriously! … which she then took off 🙄

The Tory government of restaurants - taking the public for fools parting with their money. The wrap was dry with zero sauce whatsoever. Hummus was going off. Stale chips. Dry, stale leftover food. They used to be good but seems like there has been a change in management. Far better options in Kingston to go for.

I was a bit disappointed with the service. It wasn’t that busy but we had to be asked to be seated and also ask for a menu (when others around us got it as soon as they sat down). Food was okay but the meat was very very tough, I ordered the steak and got it medium rare but still found it extremely hard to chew and swallow. The baba ganoush and Humus were amazing however! I do think the food is a bit pricey for what it is.

Comptoir Libanais offers an incredible atmosphère here by Kingston Riverside. The view is just unique and beautiful as you have the river right next to you. The food and drinks were great. I loved every bit of them. What I loved the most is that the food wasn't super hot when it came to us which is great as you don't need to wait to eat it. It was at the perfect temperature to be eaten. Their portions were good for the price and the quality was superb. We were served by a man who was always smiling, being friendly and served in a way that made us feel like we were home. The service was also fast to be a restaurant which is something we also loved. Everything seemed to be clean and organised. I never heard anyone shouting behind the kitchen which shows how professional the place is. This is not my firs time here and I continue to like what Comptoir offers in Kingston so I will recommend it with 100% certainty.

Worst experience ever! The restaurant was out of stock of all tagines, vegetarian mains and no falafel. There was no board outside to communicate this and we found out only after having the starters when it was almost 9pm. On top of it, the staff tried to give excuses that they had a busy weekend and hence no stock on weekday. Close the restaurant then until you get stock or cleary mark everything that's not available so customers can make an informed decision whether dine here or go elsewhere. The fatoush salad was the worst even, mostly lettuce, little dressing and dry.

Awful service, was ignored for at least 20 minutes (didn’t even get around to ordering drinks in that time!) before walking away to eat somewhere else, I understand it’s busy but friendliness and attentiveness from staff members would go a long way.

I used to be a regular at this restaurant however today didn’t get a very welcoming approach. Me and my partner today decided to get a coffee and cocktail outside and the manager told us if you are not getting food than go inside.. why? Since when this has been a business strategy to let just dine in people to sit outside.. as I used to be a regular and nobody have ever told me that you are not allowed to have just drinks if you want a table outside.. please please manage this place as it’s shameful to see inexperienced waiters ask you a thousand times if you ordered … at the end had to leave as being waiting 30 mins for just 2 drinks ..

Overall, while there are aspects of the dining experience that could be improved, there is potential for Comptoir Libanais to provide a more consistent and enjoyable experience for its customers.

Staff is very warm welcoming. And food is exceptionally good, it was my first time trying Lebanese food and it was totally worth. We tried The Beiruty and veg Mezze platter, both were amazingly delicious.

I really like this place. Since we last visited they have upgraded the entire place and made it super fun and easy going. The staff is also super helpful if a bit distant for such a funly designed place. The food is very good quality both the meat and salads. We have tried vegetarian and also meat dishes and all we're very tasty. The cheesecake dessert was enormous!!! 3 of us shared it. Have not been for a few years but will be a regular.

Deliveroo order took a very long time to arrive. App would suggest that 1st driver arrived and the left (gave up). Second driver delivered food 75 mins after order placed. Unfortunately by now food was stone cold. It would seem the food had been left out for some time representing very poor hygiene standards. To add insult to injury the 2 platters ordered were missing salad. Odd as the tray the food is delivered on has a slot for salad which was empty. An obvious oversight. Second time we have had a similar issue. Delivroo promptly refunded us but the restaurant was definitely disinterested when I called them. Such a shame as the food is otherwise good, perhaps this particular branch of the otherwise excellent chain needs to reconsider how it is run.

Picked this restaurant as wanted a quieter place to eat, and not full of school holiday families. We were seated promptly and selected the mezze sharing platter. Not disappointed! Food was served promptly and with freshly made breads. We really enjoyed the food and service and so glad we gave this restaurant a try.

What a beautiful place! Attentive staff. Food was super tasty but portions are small. The salad was quite basic and we found a little boring but the Baba Ganoush was heavenly. Just could have had more! Ahmad and Daria were super attentive and helpful with my (novice) tea selection Will return.

Food was Amaing . Atmosphere 5 star . Service was zero. Eventhough the boys working there tried their best to provide decent service but unfortunately they have very limited staff . Food portions are tiny compared to their over prices . My personal opinion - I will only go there if j want to enjoy the river Thames view otherwise as a choice there are a lot of other lebanese restaurants where I would get better value for money [Food portion wise] and better service. Went for lunch. Good food but sadly let down by poor service. Long wait time and food not coming out all at the same time. 12.5% service added on but it certainly wasn't worth it. Shame that the service let down the overall experience.

Went for lunch. Decor lovely, food was very nice but sadly it was let down by poor service. Took ages for the food to come out, which was ok as we weren't in a rush. Shared meze to start which was really good, they offered us some more bread as there were 5 of us but this took ages to come out so we were sitting around waiting for that so we could finish our starters. 4 of the 5 main meals arrived but the tagine took ages to come out, some of us had nearly finished by th time it arrived and there wasn't a lot of lamb in it. The waiter stood over us when we got the bill ready with his card machine, which I didn't like as I like to look through the receipt. The bill also had 12.5% service charge but I thought the service was very poor.

Been here before and the food was good and no complaints. Ordered on Deliveroo the other day and had batata harra and the iftar meal for 1 which included mixed grill, hummus, cheese sambousik, fatoush. While eating it was ok i guess, although I noticed the meat kofta was red inside so threw it away and I threw away the dessert. Long story short that's all I ate that day as I was fasting and ended up waking up at 3am being violently sick with food poisoning. Don't know what item of food poisoned me but I threw up around 4 times. So yeah!
