Comptoir Libanais in Kingston upon Thames

Had a wonderful lunch at Comptoir Libanais. The food was fresh and tasty. Service is friendly, polite and quick. Excellent place to have nice warm food with family or friends.

My mum and I had a lovely experience. Manjiri was very kind with us :)

Had regular and vegan meze. Good amounts of each item with restaurant adjusting for one disliked item with no fuss. Server Harsh was friendly but not invasive in style. Restaurant could provide a cheaper January option to attract more at lunch as everyone is watching their funds

We had a wonderful time at Comptoir Libanais. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the service – warm, friendly, and so attentive. They made us feel welcome from the start and were especially kind to my kids, they even offered help to look after my toddler so that we can eat peacefully,which made the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Comptoir Libanais in Kingston. The tagine and mezze were nothing short of perfection - so flavorful and beautifully presented. A special mention to my waiter, Prathmesh, who was attentive, friendly and made the meal even more enjoyable. Quick service, yet didn’t feel rushed. Great tasting food, particularly the whipped feta meze with flat bread, and the homemade lemonade is delicious. I was served by Manjiri, very pleasant and cheery!

Food was so good I got the mixed grill and my friend got the chicken taouk, it was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly, even the salad was nice and I don’t even like salad. Harsh was our server and he was very mindful and considerate.

This has become my favourite restaurant, it truly is an experience. The food and presentation is incredible, best Lebanese cuisine I have ever experienced before and the service is always amazing, staff are very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. We have been here 5 times and never been disappointed. I recommend the Lamb Kofta!

My friend and I came here for a quick pre theatre dinner a couple of weeks ago and we were so impressed by both the food and the service. The staff were so helpful and attentive, especially Prathmesh, and the food was just wonderful: very fresh, tasty and plentiful! The food was not delivered. No driver turned up. After almost 2hrs of waiting, the restaurant called me 3 times & asked me to collect it myself. After I collected it the delivery driver arrived at the restaurant (2hrs after the order was placed) & called me saying it wasn’t fair that he didn’t get paid & asked for my 4 digit number. This is shocking service & behaviour from your service & driver. The food was cold & dry. I haven’t received the delivery or the food. Full refund requested

After a long day at work it felt like a relaxing evening. The food was amazing. The atmosphere and vibe of the place was really unique. The service by Parthamesh stood out the most. I usually don’t write reviews, but my recent lunch at Comptoir Libanais in Kingston deserves a mention. The food was good, but what really stood out was the exceptional service. The two gentlemen, Beny and Moeet, were fantastic—they made sure we were well looked after from start to finish. My nephew has a food allergy, and they went above and beyond to ensure everything was safe for him, checking in on us a few times to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find staff who genuinely care, and they made our experience memorable. Highly recommend for both the food and the outstanding service!

Stopped for lunch while in Kingston for the day and was impressed by how good the food and service was. It’s an extensive menu with lots of options from sharing plates to tagines as well as burgers etc with a Lebanese twist. Helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. If you’re in Kingston definitely worth a visit and we will certainly return - highly recommended!

I’ve been here a few times and i always come back evertime i come to kingston. My favourite location opposite the river 🤩 Harsh is very friendly and kind he is very professional and helpful. We love the atmosphere and the food is great .i really recommend this restourant . The tea and the cold drink with Rose was my favourite Thank you 🤩

Had to leave a review due to sheer disappointment after coming to the kingston branch! I LOVE this chain, the flavours, the menu, the atmosphere, the service, I have always been so impressed whenever I’ve visited numerous other branches with friends and family. This branch however left me and my whole table in utter shock at the food we were served as well as the service. The lamb Kofte was beyond overcooked and seasoned totally wrong, to the point it tasted like I was eating in an Indian restaurant not a Middle Eastern restaurant! The mixed grill, again over cooked. The whole restaurant team were Indian (which is absolutely fine) but they have clearly decided to prepare the menu according to an Indian palate not for a Middle Eastern menu. There wasn’t 1 waiter assigned to us but 4, so whenever we wanted to order something or request something else like tissues or water, we would either have to wait until one of them remembered or we had to go through the whole lot of them till we were served with what was asked. When I spoke to the manager Benny regarding the overcooked Indian food, he gave me a crappy answer of “it’s the same recipe in every branch and customers have been complaining that the meat is undercooked so that’s why we cook it like this instead of the usual pink and soft kofte typical of middle eastern cuisine” he then sent over a pot of tea as some sort of rectification. Definitely will not be visiting this branch again.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience While the roasted salmon I ordered was of average quality, the service I received was below par. This was particularly disappointing as it was a special occasion, celebrating mother birthday. Furthermore, I was surprised by the inconvenience encountered during the ordering process. Despite ordering online twice, the second order was mistakenly sent to a different branch. When I contacted the incorrect branch to request a refund, I was met with unhelpful and inefficient customer service. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and make the necessary improvements to ensure that future customers have a more positive dining experience.

I have really enjoyed dining at Comptoir prior to this experience. This was my first experience dining at the Kingston branch and unfortunately I won’t be returning. Staff were pleasant enough but the food was more suited to an Indian palate. The meat was overcooked and dry. When we raised the issue with the manager Benny, he unfortunately dismissed it saying that the majority of customers prefer it overcooked. No Benny, if I wanted overcooked meat then I’ll go to the local Indian takeout and ask for a sheek kebab. Being half Middle Eastern and half Indian , i definitely know when a Lebanese grill is overcooked and when something is cooked in an Indian style. I would stick to other branches of comptoir, Kings Road, West End, Liverpool st or shepherds Bush. Sorry Benny…learn to take customer feedback on rather than dismissing it and schooling us on how meat should be cooked.
