A very friendly and ambient restaurant. The food has very hearty taste. We had pasta and pizza and both were extremely tasty. The service was quick, polite and efficient. Would love to return!

Absolutely amazing place. Staff was very kind and helpful. I went in a 6 at lunch, it was very quiet. Food was absolutely gorgeous. They were very accommodating to elderly and disabled. Would 100% recommend.

The food was amazing, the steak I ordered was cooked to perfection, it came with a selection of vegetables which were perfect. Overall the staff were amazing, they looked after my every need. We will back.

My family of 6 had a great lunchtime meal on Friday 12 July 2024. Fantastic service and lovely food of a generous portions were the standouts for our lunch. We will all return very soon.

This has to be one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. The food is just amazing and very reasonably priced for the high quality. I've had pizzas and pastas here and both are so delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful if, like me, you can't make up your mind what to choose. Can't recommend this highly enough!!!!

Having been recommended to try Colosseo, I decided as it was my wife’s birthday let’s give it a try and wow we were not disappointed, stunning food excellent service with a great atmosphere we will most certainly be eating there again

My wife and I, plus our three children, had a wonderful lunch here last Saturday. I spent a lot of my childhood holidays in Fairford and it was a great end to my nostalgic trip here. The high quality of the ingredients matched the chef’s skills and we will have to come again, to try more dishes from the menu. The friendly and efficient service was spot on too. Thank you!

A family of 5 had a wonderful meal at this notice. The booking was short notice and 2 guests were 20mins late, but non of this phased the waiter and waitress. Food is completely delicious, we had a varied mix of starters and main course and everyone enjoyed their meal. I would encourage anyone to give this Italian restaurant a visit

An absolutely outstanding Italian eatery, which merits its vigorously positive reviews, to which I am happy to lend my oar. Particularly of note the lead waiter, a gentleman from Egypt via Cirencester, who was one of the most outstanding hosts I have ever encountered. Bravi e torneremo!

Very warm and friendly welcome. Staff engaging and happy to talk through and explain everything , plus allow us to vary the meals to our liking. Great food as well. All in all a great time had. Well looked after and very well fed. Highly recommend.

Lovely little restaurant in Fairford. We were staying across the road in a local AirBnB and Colosseo was on the food recommendations in the local area. So we booked in for dinner and it was very good. We had the garlic prawns and meatballs as a starter, followed by carbonara and the bbq chicken pizza. Food was tasty, large portions, service was very good. Excellent value for money.

The staff are very friendly and attentive. We had the Bruschetta as a starter and it was lovely! Quite a lot of vegetarian options available too. The pizzas were okay, very generous with toppings, but quite sloppy as a result. Would like to go back and try a pasta dish next time.

Pretty good meal here. Couldn’t fault it. Will be back.

Starters were brilliant except for some unripe fruit. Mains were mixed - some dishes were great, others poor, including some considerably undercooked meat. Desserts were mixed too - the soufflé was more like a fondant and came out cold, but other dishes were spot on. Overall, the food was not worth the price on the night, but some dishes were decent. Service tended to be on the slow side, granted it was a busy time. Warm atmosphere, busy and bustling.

The atmosphere was spoilt a little by one table that were noisy and using bad language. Apart from this would highly recommend.

Pure gold ! Amazing Italian food, authentic and tastes incredible, the pasta, chicken , pizza and gnocchi were all incredible and such amazing service from Mimmo and his team. We just ate the tommohawk sharer. It was amazing and super value for money. Cooked to perfection, and great service to go with it. We'll be back!

Our group ordered white wine, red wine, arrabiata, carbonara and seafood ravioli. Ended with crème brûlée, tiramisu and profiteroles for dessert. Everything was excellent.

This place is a must visit if you like Italian food. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Everything came out in a timely fashion and was some of the nicest Italian food I've had in a long time! We will 100% be back! I reccomend the Linguine Colosseo!

We arrived in town late on a Sunday hoping to find a place for dinner that would still be open at 9pm. This was the only restaurant other than a kebab place. We were doubtful about an Italian restaurant in a small English village, but with no other options, we decided to take the risk. Let me tell you we were pleasantly surprised and grateful for the very delicious ravioli, lasagna and tiramisu. The owner/chef Mommi, who is from Sicily, was very welcoming and if it wasn’t for the fact he was speaking English, I would swear we were in Italy. What a wonderful little gem in this little English village. if you happen to be in town and want a good meal and do yourself a favor and have it here.

Order the arracini and a spritz and close your eyes and you are in Sicily. Authentic Italian food in a very friendly setting.

This is a wonderful little restaurant with amazing food and attentive staff.

Great experience. We had pizza, fresh Dover sole, pasta and freshly made tiramisu. We benefited by paying attention to the restaurant's recommended dishes. Service was friendly and efficient even though it was a busy time. We had a nice chat with the proprietor and, clearly, they are passionate about their food.

Great service and the food was excellent service. Family meal out 3 of us had Roast Lamb great value, 1 had the Roast Pork there's no doubt excellent Sunday roast. Vegan choice was also well accepted 2 Lasagne while the other 2 pizza went down well ( child's menu has a good choice) empty plates all around. Will definitely be going back again Staff and atmosphere excellent.

I had lunch here today. I was alone, with my dog, but I was greeted as warmly as if I were a party of twelve!! The food was superb. I had bruschetta to start followed by the sea bass daily special and both were perfectly cooked and delicious. The fish and vegetables were super fresh and beautifully seasoned. I had a perfectly matched glass of wine, suggested by the maitre d, and finished with a delicious coffee. My dog was given treats and water and was as well looked after as I was. I will definitely be making a return visit very soon.

We had a lovely family meal for 8 of us. Six of us had the Sunday Lunch (Roast Beef), then a pizza and swordfish. All the food was wonderful but the Sunday lunch was unexpectedly wonderful as we weren't sure what to expect. The service was warm, friendly & attentive (but not overly). Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back.

My friend and I visited this glorious, authentic, Italian restaurant on Saturday afternoon and were served by Elio who was absolutely fantastic, friendly and welcoming. The food… wow! The food was delicious and I haven’t tasted such fresh, authentic Italian food like this, outside of Italy. Thank you Elio and to the amazing chef/staff.

During our holiday we got dinner here two times. Our very friendly host Elio knows a lot about wines and coctails and tells you about it with a passion for food and drinks. Quality of the food and drinks is very good for a fair price. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Collosseo were so accommodating fitted us in on the day then were so sympathetic when were were unable to attend and helped us to change to a take away course by course. Very pleasant staff x x
