My latte milk was full of bubbles. The milk was not properly steamed and there was alot of foam for a latte!!

Went into coffee shop on 14/09/24 order an iced latte absolutely amazing and made perfectly by barista! The lady who was working there was so welcoming and friendly to me. Very charismatic and truly made me smile. I instantly thought I have to leave a review to let you know that the lady is an asset to your business. Sincere apologies that I didn’t catch her name but she was wearing a head scarf so I am hopeful that she is able to be identified and you are able to provide her with some positive feedback as it’s most deserving. Good hospitality and service should be rewarded. Thankyou very much

Nice location and atmosphere. Been many times and the main issue is the service. Huge turnaround of employees and getting worse every time. Last times I have been I got the order wrong twice so I decided not to go again.

Nice coffee and snacks. Need to keep on top of clearing tables.

Interesting quirky decor. Bright in sunshine thanks to large windows. Indoor and outdoor seating. Basic food options expected for a café (paninis, toasties etc) plus various cakes and a wide range of hot and cold drinks. The coffee is delicious

Great place to meet as it is 3 mins away from Coventry Railway station. Sweet menu is massive and you can order two different types of flat white coffee depending upon what bean or strength you like. Atmosphere could be improved as it is a little bit murky and brown.

This is my fav cafe in Coventry, very warm and serving one of the best coffees in the city. It’s my absolute go to place for coffee.

I love this chain and their Coventry charter is just as nice as their other counterparts! It's close to the train station, so ideal to catch up with friends and they are dog friendly! They even gave my dog some dog treats ❤

Quality coffee and quality staff, come here 4/5 mornings at least to get my coffee fix. Food is also delicious.

This cafe is usually good but different barista today who made an Americano look like a cup of tea. - weak with no crema Absolutely awful ! Asked for a smaller cup with two shots and less water - she just poured the old coffee into a smaller cup ! Terrible attitude terrible coffee !

Always slow even worse today! Won't bother again

Good selection of coffee & good location. Although a chain, It's got more of an 'independent' freel about compared to the others ( and crucially i think better coffee). However,sometimes it can look a little scruffy dirty cups on tables etc. Whether its a sign of how busy they have been or how few staff they have to clean up is difficult to judge. But it's not a good look. The offer to gardeners of free used coffee granules for their compost is a nice touch though

Situated near Coventry train station, this really great coffee shop has a fab atmosphere, lots of seating, is nicely decorated and serves some delicious coffees, teas and eats.

Normally coffee one is very good, but today the 3rd of January 24, it tasted absolutely awful. I went with a friend who's on a weight loss plan and his coffee tasted like washing up liquid and mine (strawberry frappuccino) tasted like they forgot to add the frappuccino or strawberry into it. Really disappointed.

I love this coffee shop, it's located right next to the train station. Aaron is such a credit to this establishment, he's so lovely and delivers great service. The atmosphere is really nice and chill. They serve a good range of toasties , paninis and cakes .If you have a sweet tooth I would recommend the cookies and cream cheesecake.

Nice coffee and good coffee art as well. The staff are so kind. Price is within the normal range and it’s 3 mins walk from the station and the seating area is actually good.

Absolutely stunning place to stop for some coffee and cake. They have a great selection of drinks and coffee beans as well.

It's a go to for council staff for a reason. Convenient yes but also really good coffee. Reward system is good. Food is good (as long as you don't mind the calories!) Staff are always really friendly. Little bit pricey, but then I would imagine so is their rent, we pay for convenience I suppose.

Great vibe here- I always love it, staff are lovely and friendly however sometimes understaff but they manage it as well as they can- delicious cakes even though a tad on the expensive side. Cookies and Cream slice is always delightful

I was walking past and didnt realise the coffee shop was open, went in and had friendly service when I ordered a matcha latte and a cinnamon bun. Have to say the warm moist bun and latte went well together.

Lovely atmosphere. It's not full of people and they have great music to get lost in our thoughts. Plus the bartender was so attentive that I was happy to download the app and come back. It could do with some low calorie meals tho. The food looks pretty much like the one at Starbucks and Costa, which isn't great...

Seating area was nice and the coffee was beautiful.

Toasties are good but expensive. Deserts are hit or miss, the Victorian sponge cake tasted like an actual stick of butter. But the bread was good. Would recommend for drinks and a nice sandwich lunch. The staff are absolutely lovely though and it's right near Coventry train station so great place to relax before catching your scheduled train.

I loved that they had different retro chairs at the table. 🙂

Nice coffee shop, there's no loud blaring music and it's a good place to catch up for a chat. Prices are reasonable (£2.70 for an Americano) and the service is polite.

Average. Latte was not great, it felt like a cup of boiled milk with water. No taste of coffee. And be careful they serve it extremely hot.

There is a lot of vegan options here at Coffee#1 , they also do very nice latte coffee too. I enjoy eating their pata de nata (Portuguese Egg Tart)✨ it’s very crunchy puff pastry outside and then a soft creamy filling inside 😌 the atmosphere is okay… the fault that they could help with is giving a tray when I have to carry the cups, sugars and spoons. And clean spoons please.

Disappointed that again using takeaway packaging. Please employ more staff so that washing up can be done. It makes the coffee experience poorer and think of the environment. Expect better from this coffee chain.

I love this coffee shop. A wide range of decently priced drinks in a lovely relaxed environment. I can't fault the staff for helpfulness and friendliness.

A minute walk from the train station, quiet and unpacked coffee shop. Friendly servers and a nice variety of breakfast sandwich & panini options all available for takeaway. Coffee was reasonably priced and IMO better than costa or Nero. Lots of seating and space which is refreshing than being cramped in a tiny store. Sausage BAP and the mushroom & mascarpone toastie, both were hot and fresh to eat. The bread was soft and light. Panini was chicken pesto, and an americano. Very delicious. Happy to come back whenever I’ll use the trains, fast and easy. 5/5

Lovely little place to relax while I waited for my train. A lot warmer too, than sitting on the platform!

The coffee tastes great! So I'm not a huge coffee drinker so I've only sampled Nero, Costa, and Starbucks (my favourite being Nero followed by Costa when it comes to mochas...both decaf and caffeinated). I was pleasantly surprised by Coffee#1’s decaf and caf mocha and lattes. Really delicious. I'm looking forward to spending some time drinking decaf mochas in the shop as I like the ambience there (big, airy yet warm in the winter).

Quiet, warm and made to feel very welcome while I thawed my bones for 20 minutes befor close.....and the coffee wasn't bad either 😉

The coffee and snacks here are genuinely phenomenal, and if you're grabbing takeout it's absolutely the place to get your fix from. But, if you want to stop in, I'd sooner go around the corner to Warwick Road. Seating here feels small and clunky, chairs being fairly uncomfortable and not matching well the height of the tables, while the ambience is somehow rather cold and hard and the tables very lazily bussed. Coffee and snacks at the other place may be a little less outstanding but, all things considered, it's currently the place at which I'd rather refuel.

I was a regular customer until one day I ordered the wrong coffe they made it and I asked for the coffe I wanted instead . They wanted me to pay again for another coffe rather than replace it and il pay whatever is left. Discusting . I not even touched the first coffe . I walked out with no coffe and payed for one for nothing they not even gave money back becouse they said it's already made

No lactose free milk. Service takes ages. Not allowed to give change.

Probably the best coffee shop near the train station. The coffee is really tasty and the place is rarely crowded.

Coffee1 is consistently the best quality and value for money cafe in Coventry. Gets busy from passing traffic to and from the railway station.

Hands down the nicest spiced chai latte I've tasted. Didn't have food but it all looked delicious. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful cafe and it is very busy during lunch hours. Wanted to really try out the new Single Origin Espresso from India. Sadly it was already all finished. We had the Americano instead - very strong & very hot - absolutely to my taste. Loved it!! Will definitely visit again during off-peak time. It was hard to find any clean tables as all of them had crumbs, cups and hadn’t been cleared yet. So for that reason I can’t give them a full 5*.

Whenever I am in Coventry I start from visiting this place. First of all because I love good cup of coffee and also because the place is cosy and inviting. I noticed that people are coming here to work as well. A stone throw from a train station and next door from a model of the city in the middle ages. Grab a coffee and enjoy.

As much as I love you over and above the bigger chains like Costa and Starbucks. Anyone reading this, head a little down the road and grab a coffee at Independent Coffee Shop, Warwick Row Espresso. You won’t be disappointed.

Was quiet when we visited 11am and, as it was sunny and warm, sat outside. But the interior is really stylish. Excellent quality large cappuccino for £3. Highly recommended and, of course location is excellent just outside Coventry station.

Really nice, cosy interior. Friendly service. My son and I popped in for a quick snack and drink. He had a steak and cheese panini, which he said he enjoyed. He said the 'steak to cheese ratio' was good! I had a cookies and cream slice - it was delicious but I couldn't finish it as it was very rich. I had a deluxe hot chocolate as well, which was lovely. This was the first time we'd been in, but will definitely return.

I love Coffee #1 in my hometown and I am always happy to see it in new places. I recently started working in Coventry, and commuting via. the train has introduced me to the branch near the station. It's a really lovely place. Indoor outdoor seating, clean, interesting, much better coffee and coffee you can depend on to be made well consistently. I have had cappuccino, iced latte, latte, and espresso to date, all at perfect temperature and never underwhelming in any way, lol I don't know how Starbucks got so big selling burnt coffee . The thing that really makes it a nice place to be when it's early or you've missed the train, is the staff. They are lovely people, and they do an amazing job, which I imagine is tiring at times. Extra special thanks to Aileen.

This was absolutely positively enjoyable, I had a great coffee Mocha taste was superb. This venue was simple basic retro sort of decor but comfortable. Nice green views outside and literally a minute or less from the train station. Perfect in my estimation. Ideal stop before and after a train ride.

Pretty nice place and the style was fancy, didn't like frappé with caramel though, felt too sugary, staff was polite and welcoming, I'd recommend before or after trainstation as they're near.:)
