Went here as the cafe has a lovely setting but it is let down badly as it is extremely overpriced. One of us had soup and half a sandwich - small bowl of soup which tasted just OK and a sandwich which has to be the smallest I have ever seen with very little filling! Total rip off for the price. There is also no choice for gluten free customers. Such a pity as the cafe is pleasant to sit in.

The service was good, the food was good but it is not value for money. I left feeling cheated at the lack of food for the money and I know there are much better options in Bangor. It's a shame as it cast a shadow on a visit to a lovely little museum. How you can charge 30p extra to have a decaffeinated coffee is beyond me.

Staff are excellent, very pleasant, and go above and beyond for special requests such as a change in items in a sandwich order. However, I think it’s overpriced. A small bowl of soup and one piece of wheaten bread was £7.95, and £3.45 for an iced latte which came in a tiny glass. The surroundings are nice and courtyard is good.

Called in for breakfast to the rathmore branch. Small sausage bagel (don’t sell eggs) small unwanted side salad and potato crisp garnish & tea Indifferent service. Wait for it ……….. £12 !!!!!!! Too many very good breakfasts in Bangor for less money for this to be acceptable.

We had coffee and really delicious rhubarb tart . The lady who served us was really friendly and efficient as was the young guy who brought our coffees to the table . Our only complaint was the fact that the cream was from a spray can , for the price we definitely would expect fresh cream . Almost 5/5

I visited a friend who lives in Bangor and suggested we went to the Town Hall for lunch. The location is good and the cafe itself is really nice but the prices are very high. I ordered sourdough with bacon and egg. At a price of £9.95 I expected a reasonable lunch, what turned up was one piece of sourdough, with 2 slices of bacon, some maple syrup and an egg. I eat out a lot and this fell well short of what I would call value for money. The coffee was £3.65 plus 30p for decaffeinated coffee, which I don't think can be justified as reasonable. The next time I go to Bangor I will try somewhere else.

3 members of staff behind the counter, the place had some but not a lot of customers the girl took my order and made a mistake missing part of the order (not an issue) she then apologised and said she would bring it down to me (this was nice) 10 minutes later no sausage roll. I went to explain and the girl told me it was served, irritated at this comment I explained no it wasn't she then proceeded to make a funny face at the other member of staff who was beside her at the till and then stated that someone else must have taken it. At this stage after waiting so long and the poor service and attitude from all members of staff I asked for a refund. As a result of the poor treatment toward me as a customer I will not be revisiting the cafe or the museum. Shame as the owner of this Coffee Cure is a nice man.

Visiting Bangor on hols, this used to be a nice place for lunch The setting with the Castle is lovely but unfortunately the Cafe was poor. Food very overpriced and not great quality. Staff seemed ok, very few wearing masks. A member of staff had very long hair and was serving food, surely tying hair up is basic hygiene? Sadly I couldn't recommend this place anymore. Wasn't however put off from enjoying the museum.

We were going to go to the Museum and the Walled Garden but lunch time came first so as we were on the grounds, we went here. We were totallly unsure as to what some of the foods were and what they came with and how this all worked. We did enjoy out meat pie and sides and then got my husbands most favorite dessert, a millionaire square. Food was tasty but got a bit cold while we tried to figure out the drinks, silverware and all. Next time we will be more in the know.

Been here several times and the choice of traybakes is nice. Having ordered a chocolate milkshake however, I noted that it's construction was a bit lazy for £2.95. Just 3x scoops of chocolate ice cream and semi skimmed milk in a blender, no ice / cream topping / chocolate syrup (syrup WAS in stock and on display). Hence it didn't taste of much of anything unfortunately.

You might not think it from some of my reviews, but actually, I hate giving bad ones – especially when the staff have been really nice. But the whole point of Trip Advisor is that you know what to expect when you’re thinking of visiting somewhere, so… We visited the café in the Heritage Centre on a weekday lunchtime. First problem was that the dishes pictured below were sitting on a stone cold hotplate (I touched it with my finger) – when you ordered something, it was assembled on a plate, and stuck in the microwave! The second issue was that the food had obviously been there a Long Time… everything was horribly overcooked and dried up where not completely covered with sauce or gravy. Now, I LIKE well-cooked food, in the Ulster tradition – no rare beef for me. But this was beyond the pale. I don’t know how well the photos will convey it, but eg the roast potatoes were completely dried up. “Woody” is the description that comes to mind. And the roast beef had been there so long it was almost black in colour, and most closely resembled shoe leather. So we avoided those. I had the meatballs; my companion the Cajun Chicken – on the basis that these were both covered in sauce, so at least should have remained moist, and might be OK-ish heated up in the microwave. The meatballs were kind of OK, but VERY spicy. Now, again, I really like hot food, and was fine with them – but I suspect others might have found them challenging. The chips and vegetables were dry, wrinkled and generally pretty awful. My companion’s “Cajun Chicken” consisted of pieces of chicken and peppers etc floating in a spicy sugar syrup, a bit like the gloop that Chinese takeaway sweet and sour chicken comes in. I suppose it was edible if you like that sort of thing, but not resembling any variant of Cajun Chicken I’ve ever encountered. It’s a nice place to eat; the staff were helpful and friendly; but… sorry, the food was dreadful.
