Coffee Cure at The Museum in North Down

3 members of staff behind the counter, the place had some but not a lot of customers the girl took my order and made a mistake missing part of the order (not an issue) she then apologised and said she would bring it down to me (this was nice) 10 minutes later no sausage roll. I went to explain and the girl told me it was served, irritated at this comment I explained no it wasn't she then proceeded to make a funny face at the other member of staff who was beside her at the till and then stated that someone else must have taken it. At this stage after waiting so long and the poor service and attitude from all members of staff I asked for a refund. As a result of the poor treatment toward me as a customer I will not be revisiting the cafe or the museum. Shame as the owner of this Coffee Cure is a nice man.

Wide variety of fresh deserts, hot foods drinks. Environment was lively and peaceful. Staff were kind. Forests outside the café are ideal for a calm walk after your meal.

Just been to coffee cure, totally feel ripped off. £37 for two toasties, two bowls of soup, a coffee and a coke. Won't be back.

We don't serve potatoes or vegetables,2 pieces mince pie 2 glasses milk 22 pounds.will not be back!wife questioned price,girl at till asked colleague is this price correct and was told yes,had milk drunk and had to go ask where our pie was, we'll put them in the microwave now was the reply!

Just had a light lunch at the museum coffee shop. Food very disappointing although the setting is very pleasant.

The most fantastic selection of food, well spaced out and comfortable seating with very polite and friendly staff. Highly recommend the sausage rolls. I had one for lunch and was still full at dinner. Lovely spot after a walk around the attached museum.

Poor quality,overpriced traybakes and biscuits.Served by a surly member of staff who had no manners and no awareness that she was working in the hospitality industry. Overall a very dispiriting experience.Will not be back.

Visiting Bangor on hols, this used to be a nice place for lunch The setting with the Castle is lovely but unfortunately the Cafe was poor. Food very overpriced and not great quality. Staff seemed ok, very few wearing masks. A member of staff had very long hair and was serving food, surely tying hair up is basic hygiene? Sadly I couldn't recommend this place anymore. Wasn't however put off from enjoying the museum.

Visited here mid week for a late lunch. Ordered the chicken salad bowl and was very pleasantly surprised. Really delicious and reasonably priced. Great customer service. Will come again!

We were going to go to the Museum and the Walled Garden but lunch time came first so as we were on the grounds, we went here. We were totallly unsure as to what some of the foods were and what they came with and how this all worked. We did enjoy out meat pie and sides and then got my husbands most favorite dessert, a millionaire square. Food was tasty but got a bit cold while we tried to figure out the drinks, silverware and all. Next time we will be more in the know.

Been here several times and the choice of traybakes is nice. Having ordered a chocolate milkshake however, I noted that it's construction was a bit lazy for £2.95. Just 3x scoops of chocolate ice cream and semi skimmed milk in a blender, no ice / cream topping / chocolate syrup (syrup WAS in stock and on display). Hence it didn't taste of much of anything unfortunately.

Just dropped by for coffee and cake. A good choice and they all looked delicious. We weren’t disappointed. Very pleasant and helpful staff. It’s a lovely spot and it’s disappointing to see some bad reviews of the food. The cakes were certainly yummy.

You might not think it from some of my reviews, but actually, I hate giving bad ones – especially when the staff have been really nice. But the whole point of Trip Advisor is that you know what to expect when you’re thinking of visiting somewhere, so… We visited the café in the Heritage Centre on a weekday lunchtime. First problem was that the dishes pictured below were sitting on a stone cold hotplate (I touched it with my finger) – when you ordered something, it was assembled on a plate, and stuck in the microwave! The second issue was that the food had obviously been there a Long Time… everything was horribly overcooked and dried up where not completely covered with sauce or gravy. Now, I LIKE well-cooked food, in the Ulster tradition – no rare beef for me. But this was beyond the pale. I don’t know how well the photos will convey it, but eg the roast potatoes were completely dried up. “Woody” is the description that comes to mind. And the roast beef had been there so long it was almost black in colour, and most closely resembled shoe leather. So we avoided those. I had the meatballs; my companion the Cajun Chicken – on the basis that these were both covered in sauce, so at least should have remained moist, and might be OK-ish heated up in the microwave. The meatballs were kind of OK, but VERY spicy. Now, again, I really like hot food, and was fine with them – but I suspect others might have found them challenging. The chips and vegetables were dry, wrinkled and generally pretty awful. My companion’s “Cajun Chicken” consisted of pieces of chicken and peppers etc floating in a spicy sugar syrup, a bit like the gloop that Chinese takeaway sweet and sour chicken comes in. I suppose it was edible if you like that sort of thing, but not resembling any variant of Cajun Chicken I’ve ever encountered. It’s a nice place to eat; the staff were helpful and friendly; but… sorry, the food was dreadful.
