We arrived at the last minute but Nancy was kind enough to still serve us we had tea and cakes which were fantastic. (Most excellent as my husband says.) Danish apple cake and ginger and sweet potato cake. The café is clean, inviting, interesting with an array of any cake/dessert you could possibly fancy. We didn't even have time to look at the furniture and other arty items so will have to go again when we come back on holiday. Nancy is so nice and hospitable.

Menu pretty much all coffe and cakes … but they also do soup, and carrot &coriander was delicious with a cheese scone. Ginger cake fabulously moist. Quirky atmosphere, well worth a visit

Came on this little coffee shop unexpectedly on a pleasant riverside walk out of Allendale Town. Co-located with the Allendale Brewey and various art/craft outlets as well as being on a site of historic interest. Outside seating and dog friendly

The cafe is close to a lovely riverside walk from Allendale. The food is all homemade/home baked and the cakes and scones are heavenly. The owners are very helpful and friendly and welcome dogs too. There is a covered outdoor seating area as well as tables etc inside. The menu is varied and is great value too. It was definitely worth a second visit before I went home and I will be back.

Lovely cafe with a warm and friendly welcome.. a great selection of homemade cakes and local crafts were displayed and it is dog friendly which is always a plus for us. There is seating both inside and out. We had the apple cinnamon and raisin cake which was absolutely delicious. We went back on the Wednesday with friends but unfortunately it was closed.. so just check the opening times.. something I neglected to do 😞 Would definitely go back again

The postal address had a Morpeth post town, even though it is close to Amble. Finding it with the aid of a satnav was essential. A lovely sunny day and the field out front was very busy. All sorts were there, a food concession was selling pizza. The beer was varied, but great. Just a pity i was driving, no carry out bright beer is available. Only in cans. Such a shame, would have loved to taken away some of their heavier beer approx 6% ABV Staff were friendly and the interior accommodation was good.

This place is a totally fantastic! Do not miss out on the 'Kipper in a Bun'. I wavered, and thought to maybe have a 'Banger in a Bun' although was so glad I went with the Kipper. Perfectly cooked Kippers, Lemon mayonnaise, in a soft white roll eaten on the beach was just divine. Wife's comments were 'That was Lush!'. Great friendly service and all locally sourced delicious produce. Even the coffee was from Holly Island! All in a free car park!
