Great chip shop staff are brilliant foods always fresh and fast to your door

Man who served us was rude beyond words tried to pay with card as no signs saying cash only for him to say in the most unfriendliness manner it was cash asking if there was a cash line he just looked through me his attitude was stinking and looking at us if serving was a complete inconvenience while the shop was empty. Will not be back

As longtime customers of the Codfather for a good few years, we have been disappointed one time too many. First of all, despite stating otherwise my partner's hoggie is always lacking in sauce, chips are mostly not cooked properly and end up giving us sore stomachs, and the pizzas have lately been either overcooked and burnt, or raw/partially cooked dough on the bottom. This isn't good full stop when it comes to food safety, but with the high prices and us being loyal customers, there is no reason to stick with the Codfather any longer.

Fish isbthe best ive had ever. Had 3 fish suppers in 2 days. Incredible food and fresh as you like. Unreal. Wont ever go anywhere else ❤

Good food at decent prices. (All the normal chip shop food with pizza ect. ) been a good few time and never been disappointed

Ordered chippy plate delivered. Frozen sausage and frozen burger thrown into deep oil and not even properly cooked. I have never seen anything so disgusting. Probably too used to Glasgow City food scene. Good work trying to get someone food poisoning. Never again.

Great fish and chips, however they really need to move to card payment. No one carries cash anymore. Easy way to avoid paying TAX........

Got a Fish super and a meat pizza food was lovely, asked for fish to be nice and crispy and it was perfect, staff were very friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to come back and try more

Used to be good, but now food is over cooked and batter is like cardboard. Staff are lovely though.

🙄 Pizzas were too thin, dried out all around the rims with black burnt bits because there was not enough toppings OR cheese on these bits! 😩 The toppings were mostly in the middle of the pizzas and were very sparse, indeed! Unfortunately, not warm enough either! 😵 Not enjoyable at all and a total waste of money. 😢 Very disappointed, so we won't be using this shop again.

Can honestly say it’s the best fish & chip shop in Glasgow freshly made pizza dough instead of some places that do store bought pizza base here it’s always fresh tried a bunch of different places but here’s perfect been ordering from here for a few years now and never had a problem always consistent been in a few times as well and the owner and staff are always hard at work with brilliant customer service keep up the fantastic work codfather

Best chippy in cambuslang with great food

I ordered a large fish supper . £9.30. I had asked that the chips be wrapped separately as my partner didn't want a taste of fish . Came to £10.30 . When I challenged him he told me that he had given me a small bag of chips that is considerably bigger than a supper portion? I'll let you decide if I'm being silly !

First time using this chippy. Kebabs were awesome, chips fresh and the fritters crispy. What more could you want.

Good service but the pizza was rotting with maggots. 10/10 would have it again.

1. Terrible hygiene.. they fry and touch food which touched money and all the dirty things. They cook with bare hands! 2. I clearly said that I want to make fish for supper which comes with chips, and cancle the other chips. When I said that I didn't want other chips they just ignored me and stared at me. Terrible service... 3. Oh and they don't wear masks in covid situation 4. for fried pizza, it's just cheap supermarket pizza fried, not made from scratch

Decided to try as Kraken doesn't do fish cakes and hadn't had them for years. Fish cakes were tasteless and covered in something other than breadcrumbs?!, cheeseburger had batter? on it and slimy cheese inside the burger, scampi also tasteless. Got mushy peas instead of salt and vinegar. Chips were pretty good. Will stick to Kraken!

Can't belevei it orderderd an twister burger girl said they don't sell twister burger and the girl made said the best cheese yes cheese burger with letice tomato onion and meao but got a roll kabab meet and sauce and two burnt over cooked burgers or would buy agai £12 for food you never ordered plus's misses payif for kids cheeseburger and got burger no cheese or letice or opinion and a can of coke defo not a happy Binu avoid

Best fish and chips by a mile fresh and tasty

This is the second time I have had food poisoning from your takeaway. My brother came in and ordered A mixed hougie. I had chips and cheese and my mother had chips cheese and curry sauce. Idk if its from the cheese or the fact you pick up cheese with your hands. We are in a pandemic. Cmon. But won't be returning again.

Passing by Cambuslang and we jumped in for a chippy... Honestly one of the best tastiest fish and chips we have ever tasted. Fresh fresh fresh and good healthy chips cooked in clean fat. We wish we had such a great chip shop like this one nearby... it's hard to find a decent chip shop these days... this one got the 5 stars PLUS mark that we felt we had to come and review. You will not be disappointed. Top class grub and nice staff too! We will be back to Cambuslang just for the chip shop 👍👍👍👍

Lovely food, the battered pickled onions are as good as the pictures that are everywhere, highly recommended to every pickled onion lover

We order here regularly and usually it is fine but ordered the other day and my whole family got food poisoning

3 chippys for £10 and a kids meal with drink and toy. Pretty good.

It's local, staff are friendly and the food is excellent, it's cooked fresh while you wait. Pizza is made from scratch infront of you, yes that's right, the dough is stretched and kneeded while you watch then your favourite topping added. Highly recommended.

Chips are dry and not very tasty.

My Mum placed an order here for us, they got it totally wrong, for e.g. asked for a can of Pepsi - got diet coke. She seems to think the place is ok, but I think it's rank. I got a small donner kebab that was actually a large one; the kebab meat was awful, the salad totally soggy. Apparently they do a good fish supper? I'll personally never find out. I'd never order from there after this exp.

Got a pizza deal yesterday.... spicy chicken pizza was delicious.... not so the kebab.. for a small it was fairly proportioned.. but just lacked taste... Maybe should invest in a better quality products... would have have bn two and a half... if possible...but not a three....

Does a fresh cooked fish better than equis! I have recently swapped to this chippy. It wasn't so good when it first opened, but has got better and better
