Absolutely shocking. Wrong order sent and cold. When I phoned them they said they were too busy to send the correct order and hung up on me, I phoned them and said they were again too busy to send the correct order. I am out of pocket £3.30.

Always good fresh food. Good size portions decent delivery times and Friendly service. Recommend ordering from here.

Food was “okay”. The chips were a little undercooked for my taste, but everyone is different 🤷‍♀️ Delivery, heat of food, etc was all fine.

delivery time kept getting delayed actually went too bed then heard a chap didn't eat food as was too late in the evening.

the food was horrible. cold, hard,greasy and the wrong sauce. I phoned the number provided and the "owner" said he would deal with me tomorrow. 2 months late and still no call. he obviously sent out whatever was near him when I ordered. this was my go-to chippy for years but I won't be ordering again after the last few orders.

won't be getting another deep fried Mars bar from this place, as they are either using the mini Mars bars or they are halving a normal sized Mars bar in two as it was only about an inch long. But charged £2. Robbery.

The Haggis supper is probably the best around Killie. Not had a better one yet.

1 Burger was swimming in tomato ketchup, every bite caused sauce to drip out other ends. I couldn’t taste the burger, just the sauce. Even the packaging was smothered. Another burger bun was burnt and again a large amount of sauce but not as much as the cheese burger. Ordered large chips but between three of us we got a very small handful each so not a large amount. Mars bars were lovely but not much batter on them. Overall it doesn’t warrant a complaint but it did warrant a truthful review

Missing sausage from the supper I ordered phoned them and couldn’t understand and nothing was sorted waited ages to then have no dinner for my partner. Won’t be ordering from there again shocking !

I usually really like this place and food always good, however I ordered scampi, which I have done in the past, which is clearly advertised as wholetail scampi. They have clearly bought in cheaper processed stock which is what I got tonight. I have worked in the food industry for many years so I know exactly what wholetail scampi is and I don’t appreciate being given something different to what is advertised on the menu. Really not happy and after tonight I won’t be using again. Not a nice meal

Everything tasted fine, only slight complaint was that the menu says smoked sausages but only received one and that was quite small, but would order from here again.

Estimated delivery time ehrn ordered circa 6.20pm. An hour late 7.30pm and cold and disgusting went straight into the bin request a refund.

Have used The Codfather a few times and each time the food has been excellent would highly recommend. Delivery is always really quick

Breaded Mushrooms were still frozen and the Scampi well was hardly fit to be called Scampi, a Very cheap imitation! my mushrooms were replaced after complaining, but should have been cooked properly in the first place, no excuses!

The ice cream was all the wrong kinds I was very dissatisfied

Fish and chips were good. But I find rhe lack of salt n vinegar when delivering not as good as probably collecting fresh. It just seems weird. But ate it 😊

Ordered a scampi supper that took 2 hours for delivery on a Monday night. Scampi was lovely but supper was small and not worth the money or the 2 hour wait.

Chips could have been hotter, and maybe cooked a wee bit longer, I like my chips well cooked though so could just be a personal preference. In all fairness everything was really nice, can’t fault it. Delivery earlier than expected too

orderd at 9.30 its now 11-15 nothing came phoned shop no answer

£5 for a "large" chips and curry lucky if I got 1 potato worth very miserable portions!

This is the 3rd time now that I've had an issue with this place, and I'm local, first time they drenched my food in salt and vinegar without asking before, and then tried to hide it, second time we got 2 battered pizzas, one with plastic stuck all along the bottom and one came fried, and now I've went for a chip roll and I've came home to a bag of chips, won't be back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will definitely recommend.

Food was cold , asked for the curry to be in a wee tub as it was for daughter even called them up as she’s a picky eater ! But no one listened and they put curry over it dinner wasted and waited for over a hour won’t be from here again

Although It was 10 mins late it seemed it was longer, and the foot was not hot or was look warm.

Ordered King Rib chips and cheese........What cheese did you use!?. Because that was not cheese that was tipped over my chips. THE ENTIRE MEAL WAS CAULD, there is more heat in a coprse!!! Two sausage suppers ha ha ha, you need a surgons bone saw tae get through it What i got fur my Clink wiz a bag of stain cauld road kill.......yum yum yum no bad fur twenty six pictures oh the queen..............one word for you lot BOWHOUSE

Food was late & cold. Delivery driver to his credit apologised for the delay, but the food was completely inedible, soggy, greasy and cold. Flung in the bin and ordered from elsewhere. Not great.

Got 2 pieces of rubber fish which went straight to the bin, just eat would not refund. Buyer beware.

The fish was like rubber and had to throw it in the bin, it was also very greasy and tasted funny. First time I’ve had bad fish from here, it’s really put me off returning unfortunately. Was my fav chippy until this :-( I’ve applied for a refund.

Food was cold and not what was expected

Potato used in the fritters tasted weird, as if rotten, was worst yet. Iv gave them second chance from previous order/review. Won’t be ordering anything anytime soon.

I usually give this restaurant 5 stars but tonight the chips were horrible, they were cold, and half of them were bad as if rotten potatoes were used. The sausage would have been edible if they were hot. I know restaurants are struggling with the cost of living and food prices but they will only suffer more when people stop ordering because of poor quality.

Absolutely disgusting, really small portion for a fish supper, the 'nachos' are an absolute joke, just really cheap tortilla chips with hot sauce and bare minimum cheese no cheese sauce absolutely rank! Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy! Waste of money

The delivery was over 3 and a half hours late. When I called establishment I was hung up in and then on my 2nd call at 6:30 was told it was delayed but didn’t turn up until after 8

Normally I recommended the Codfather highly for quality & delivery is usually prompt or early. Hope it’s just a blip. Order placed at 16:50, expected delivery time on Just Eat app 17:40- 18:00. Called at 18:05 to be told it’s just left, arrived at 18:20. It was just a portion of 5 fritters & single special fish. On receiving it the ‘special fish’ couldn’t be anymore smaller & scrawny inside a large pizza type box.

Piping hot again, food sooooo tasty 😋 with a light batter & just right amount of crunch = best chippy in town, by far!

Only commented on late because usually they are really prompt or even early. As always food was hot and deliscious - really nice crispy batter on the fish and the chips plump and great to put in a butty. Recommend the Codfather for the best fish supper in the area.

Ordered 2 items, one of which was a tub of mushy peas. Instead, a tub of curry sauce was delivered.

Oh My Gosh! I ordered half a chicken in batter and it was absolutely gorgeous, so crispy and tasty too. I will definitely be ordering from them again. The order was to take from fifty minutes to an hour and ten minutes, but it arrive pipping hot in fifteen minutes. VERY PLEASED.

Tonights meal was probably the best chippy we've had in Kilmarnock in a long time! Huge portions, Food was fresh and piping hot, not a bit of grease from the pizza or the pizza crunch... Will be back again
