Restaurant busy so order quick run out of some foods staff very friendly also reasonably priced.

An interesting pub/hotel and restaurant overlooking the Teign estuary. Excellent beer, great food - I’d thoroughly recommend “steak night” - and value for money accommodation. We’ll certainly be back.

We eat here regularly. Consistently God food, its worth booking to avoid disappointment.

Wonderful place to stop. Staff so helpful and friendly. Great selection for breakfast and well cooked. Full English did leave you full! We didn't eat in the restaurant but the food looked good and was reasonably priced.

Don't know whether this place is still open. I rang 7 times to try and book a table, but never got an answer.

Lovely food, nice beer and friendly staff. I was in my campervan and who I think was the landlady let me stay in the carpark overnight. I will definitely go again

Highly recommend this place! Wonderful warm welcome from all the staff and Managers, excellent customer service. We stayed for a week over Christmas and everything was perfect, the atmosphere, delicious food, rooms and staff. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly. Look forward to visiting again soon!

What a fabulous and festive stay. The staff just can’t do enough for you, very courteous and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is fabulous and they even put on a Buffett on Christmas Eve which is complimentary which we thought was an extra special touch. It was lovely to see that the pub has a mixture of local people and visitors which shows what a great pub this is as it was busy and used by both. Rooms very clean and modern and fabulous location. This was our first time at staying here and will definitely stay here again and recommend to others. A real gem and find. Thank you so much

Food mediocre at best, manageress Is extremely rude, if she likes you she will chat to you, if she takes a dislike to you she will completely ignore you. It’s all so unprofessional and the reason why many, many villager’s avoid using the place.

The Cockhaven was a lovely pub to eat in and also to stay at. Great food, great staff, absolutely spotless bedrooms. Very high quality of finishings. We'll definitely be back to here in the future.

Had a lovely stay here last week. Really nice setting and a cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and main menu. Steak night Wednesday seemed popular and the Steak was soooo good. Comfortable rooms as well.

After sitting in traffic for 5 hours and eventually arriving at our lodgings, we found the Cockhaven Arms. It was fabulous, a lovely welcome and fabulous food and the home cooked pies really hit the mark. Brucey our pug said thankyou for his treats.

Have stayed here many times, the atmosphere and food is great. Emma is the most welcoming of hosts and the food Andy prepares is excellent, it's tasty and you don't leave hungry! Looking forward to coming again in June!

The food is always excellent here, hot tasty & reasonably priced. Staff are friendly & the surroundings are very pleasant.

We stayed as it was convenient for visiting family. Fantastic find, rooms were beautiful and clean. Breakfast was tasty and more than enough. The staff were really friendly. We will be back again…. What a gem 💎

We stayed in room 8 which was a lovely big room with a massive bathroom with two sinks. It was quiet overnight. The food in the restaurant was very nice especially the Bass. The restaurant does get very busy so best to book a table. The staff were all very personable. Good choice at breakfast.

Good food and excellent service

Fantastic service, efficient polite staff. The food was majestic, good prive and nice big portion size, I had the whitebait and it was excellent. Tartar sauce tasted home made and was excellent, salad and chips perfect. Will be back to try out that brilliant beer garden

We stayed for a night visiting family in the area, the staff were lovely throughout. Peaceful and friendly atmosphere. The room was perfect and had a terrace with a nice view of the Teign valley. We drove 10 mins down to buzzy Shaldon Beach for the evening and came back in time for some drinks at the cosy bar. Full English breakfast in the morning was great too, including a veggie accommodation for me. Would love to come back!
