Had a wonderful family meal, staff were very welcoming and efficient, lovelly food, great service and reasonably priced. Would definately visit again. If i had one critisism it would be no pate or garlic mushrooms with dip on the starters menu bit of a favouite with us.

One of our favourites! Great service, lovely food and always welcoming with our 2 young children. Extremely good value and good portion sizes.

We have eaten here twice this week. On Friday, 5 friends stopped off for lunch, on our way to a weekend break at St Leonard's The food, service and atmosphere was so good that we booked a table for Sunday lunch Different staff were on shift on both days, and we were not disappointed. They were kind, cheerful, polite and helpful. The food!! Was absolutely delicious, reasonably priced and plentiful. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area. Thank you for great service.

Popped in on the off chance.. & so glad We did, the atmosphere was great & very friendly, there was karaoke 🎤 on.. and they were DOG FRIENDLY - even have A DOG MENU 👍 a lovely evening and a welcoming reception from the friendly locals

We requested a quiet corner table because of our nervous rescue dog and that's exactly what we were given. The waitress was super friendly and attentive, great food, fair prices. Would definitely return.

Really disappointed, we waited about 40 minutes which in itself would not have been a problem as they appeared short on staff. I ordered the special chicken, leak and cheese pie which I think may have been really nice if not for the issues. All the other meals ordered had barely warm veg and chips ( the waitress did offer to take back and heat up but none of us fancied a microwaved plates) and said we'd just eat it. I then realised my pie was still in grease proof paper after a bit of humming and hawing the others said just tip it upside down out of the paper, which I did to find the bottom of the pie not cooked at all. I took it to the bar and tried to get someone's attention rather than carrying it round to the main bar in front of all the other customers. The lady there saw me and ignored me for 5 minutes. Looking at me and looking away, no acknowledgement I was there at all. Eventually she told the passing waitress I was stood there . I explained to the waitress the problem and she did offer to order me something else by this time my companion's were more than halfway through their meals so by the time anything was ready they would have finished and be ready to leave. The response my friends got when they said one meal was to be taken of the bill was very curt. I understand the pressure businesses and staff are under but neither myself or any of my friends were offered anything like an apology or even displayed any regret over the issue. We have previously enjoyed this establishment but in future we won't drive, to eat in their case luke warm food, in my case inedible food.

We visited Coach and Horses for the first time today. A wonderful place, worth recommending. Tasty food 5+, atmosphere 5+, nice, helpful and very friendly service, you can see that they care about a good atmosphere. I am very pleased with my visit and we will definitely come back again.

Had lunch for 3 yesterday 11/03/25. 2 x Scampi and 1 x Steak and Ale Pie. Excellent food and attentive staff (James/Josh) 5 Star all the way.

Overpriced for the meals they serve. Disappointing place.

A cheeky spontaneous trip to the pub, had absalotly banging BBQ chicken panini and a cheeky pint. All topped with friendly and charismatic service from Joshua, what a legend! Must come again.

When we arrived we were greeted by James who showed us to our table, we were asked about any allergies and were shown the possible allergies on the menu. Ordering was quick and easy at the bar and our 4 meals arrived in an exceptable time . Joshua who served us came back to check everything was ok. Ordering desserts and coffee was easy at the bar and were quickly served despite the pub now being very busy by this time. Excellent service and food.

I called into the Coach and Horses this lunchtime with my wife and had a very pleasant time thanks mostly to the service given by Josh and Cameron. Lovely atmosphere, will use again when in Wimborne

Excellent as normal staff are brilliant. It's so nice to go there and know I can have a dessert after my dinner that's not vegan ice cream there option as dessert is vegan cheesecake favour is absolutely amazing 😋

Food here is delicious, last time I was here I orderd the mini camembert as as starter which was amazing and I can say was the best camembert I have tasted,for my main I got there burger and added extra cheese and barbecue pork to it, it tasted lovely and was very filling, the drink prices in there is also very good, I couldnt recommend the coach and horses enough. I have also gone there for christmas dinner two years in a row now.

As usual we were greeted with a friendly smile and warm welcome from Dan and taken to our pre-booked table. There were five of us and we’d booked a 3 course Christmas meal. Dan and the two lovely waitresses that served us were very attentive and thoroughly looked after us for the whole of our booking. The food was delicious as always. We visit the Coach and Horses at least 3 times a month and every time we are greeted with the same friendly service, great food and a welcoming landlord and landlady.

My friend and I like to lunch here. Very welcoming and friendly. We opt for the senior menu as prefer a light meal. Food: good value, well cooked, presented and served. Delightful young man, Joshua, waited on us today.

The lady who I delay with, with the booking was really nice Very welcoming We had the festive menu with 11 People. The food was really nice, nice and hot We go twice a year for a work meal. Summer and winter. We will be returning

Our party had Hunters chicken, chicken Schnitzel and salmon from the specials. It was all cooked well and was very nice.

Every time we visit we are always well looked after, we just had a work party there and had a great time, they paid attention to our teams dietary requirements and their amazing team looked after us really well. Had the Signature BBQ burger with chips. The meal was delicious, with plenty of chips and 2 onion rings. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Even had some friendly banter with one of the servers. I'm definitely coming back.

First time I have visited Coach and Horses, even though I am local, (won't be the last) food was absolutely gorgeous, my friend had Lamb Shank done to perfection, I had Tomato and pesto salad with grilled halloumi, we both had cheesecake dessert just scrummy. Clean plates from us both for both courses.....top marks for food, service, value, cleanliness, and all staff especially 'Jackie' Thank you so much.

Sunday lunch amazing lamb shanks so unusual to find on a lunch menu and they were lovely super fresh vegetables including cauliflower cheese (not as an extra) finished with fruit crumble and custard. One of the best Sunday lunches I had i a long time will definitely go back again

My first trip to this area, what a great place. Having an Assistance Dog, Golden Retriever really helped he attracts everyone and gets so much fuss, they in turn have a conversation. Good food even on a football night Good beer, easy free parking . All the same Greene King at home.

We were given a gift voucher and decided to use it at The Coach & Horses last Sunday 12 May. Wanted to book online, was booked solid, rang on the off chance to be allocated a table at 6.45pm. Arrived on time was told they were very busy, waiting time 30-45 mins. We were surprised as there were only 3 other tables occupied whilst the vacant ones all had a reserved sign? We ordered, couldn’t get the turkey roast so chose risotto as an alternative. We finally got our meal at 7.55! By then we were the only diners. My risotto was nice but only covered the bottom of the plate with heaps of red onion and rocket on top! My partner had beef roast and was fairly happy with his choice. On leaving we paid the balance of our bill thinking maybe an apology or explanation would be forthcoming, not a word! By this time the restaurant was empty and just a couple of people in the bar. The reserved tables weren’t reserved at all, a bit strange? We won’t be going back although we have always had good food and service before.

2nd visit food very good again and hot but waiting service not felt very rushed to order and was asked by 3 members of staff one after the other was we ready to order blonde lady in green tonight said not a problem but still felt under pressure by her the young girl training was probably the better one of all 3, staff obviously not checking with each other who had been to our table shame as last visit was lovely.

We had a Greene King voucher to use and did not enjoy the food at our local Greene King, so we decided to try the Coach and Horses. The staff were really friendly, attentive and helpful and the food was hot and tasty. The place was clean and I have to say it is probably the best Greene King around the area. We will definitely be back for a meal, or to sit with a drink outside

This was the third time we have been to the Coach and Horses, and like all the others, the service was friendly, professional and excellent. My wife had the Chicken Schnitzel, and I had the Award-winning Beef and Ale pie, both meals were superb, and reasonably priced, so we could go for a pudding as well. We would definitely go again, highly recommend.

Friendly staff, delicious food and great atmosphere.

Today I booked a table for two at 1pm. The restaurant was busy and we were told there was an hour's wait for food. Not ideal but was catching up with a friend so we chatted. We ordered Hunters Chicken and Scampi. I did ask after an hour how much longer as all the other tables had been served and nobody else had come into the restaurant. We were told walk ins had made them busy but there weren't many in the bar area. The waiter went to check and we were told it was just being plated up! I have to say I visited on 21 March (a Thursday) and had to wait then as well and we were told exactly the same. It's a shame as the food comes out really hot and is good value. I will think twice about returning which is a shame but an hour plus for two simple meals. Maybe the half hour slots that you book should be hourly if the kitchen cannot cope.

Had a fabulous birthday lunch with my partner and her family! Staff were friendly and welcoming and very attentive! Food was excellent and all plates were cleared ! The only downside was that they need more Victoria sponge cake😁, it had sold out 😔! Can definitely recommend and will be back most certainly !! 5 star!!

Ordered drinks at table which took 15 mins to arrive. Ordered food straight away. Ist course took 30 mins to arrive. 2nd course took just as long. Waiter apologised for the delay caused by how busy they were, but we were the only table still eating!

Popped into here for lunch with my children and what a lovely place it is. The staff are great but Jackie in particular really made our visit. She went above and beyond to make our visit and made us feel so welcome. Every restaurant should have a Jackie! Food was great. Its also really nice that they have a pool table that me and my 12 year old daughter could play. We will 100% be back.

We needed a spacious local pub with a good reputation to hold a wake. The Coach & Horses proved to be the perfect venue. We had a planning meeting a week beforehand where we decided on what food would be required (including some gluten free). We had anticipated up to 100 guests, but in the end there a few more than that. But the service and food were outstanding and I cannot thank the staff enough for being so friendly and efficient.

Not been here for a while, and it was great seeing Liam and Gemma. Staff very polite and friendly. We had starters if halloumi fries and chicken strips, our mains were lasagne and fish and chips, which came out quickly and cooked to perfection. I won't leave it so long to go back here.
