Pretty , pretty , good !. Went here for the first time on the 22nd of June . The chips were amazing & the batter on the meat dishes we had was superb. Served in quality cardboard boxes. I was very impressed. Well done !.

Must agree with some of the other comments , order system is all over the place , by time you get your food you ain’t hungry, overall the fish is just ok small Angel cuts !!! Chips standard , also some items are gone by 530 so limited choice !! Overall 3half stars ⭐️

I telephoned Clerkhill Fishbar to check what time they close and was told 8pm I arrived at 7-40pm and went in to order two haddock and chips to be told sorry we have no fish. How can a fish shop in the fishing port of Peterhead have no fish. I went here as the shop had 4.5 star reviews which sorry it does not deserve

Ordered food at shop and told it would be ready in 20 mins. When I went to collect it was told it was not ready as people who phone in orders take priority food was ready 45 minutes later. Will not be going back

Definitely the best chippy in Peterhead, constantly excellent. Everything freshly cooked and they can take phone/messenger orders so you don't have to wait.

The Clerkhill chipper is very good and always busy every night so why when they know they are going to be busy do the never have anything ready. He should have stuff cooked ready to go and then he’d have less queuing.

Trucker passing through. Popped in and got a fish and chips. Very friendly staff. Fish was very nice plenty meat on it and chips none greasy. Over all very nice 5☆ Will definitely call back again next time I'm passing though.

Last time I was here, I was told I had to queue on the left hand side, facing the shop where the pavement had been marked up. Tonight I did that, I got soaked to the skin waiting while other people simply ran up to the door and got served next. Eventually the woman behind me started complaining so I walked right up to the door, and yes, I got served next. No effort at social distancing, and a wholly unacceptable situation given the current pandemic. Simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Usually do not eat fast food but only if urgent. Was joyrided with my gal at this town.. Gine through the app to check what is up. Followed the best Fish & Chilps bar.. So it worth it! Damn.. Forgot to ask for ketchup.. Dear stuff ask me next time not just for vinegar as I am oblivious. 😜

First fish supper I have had since the lock down started so full marks to to the staff who managed to serve safely. Phoned my order at 1605 and it was ready on the dot at five, lovely meal.

Spur of the moment decision late evening and was surprised to find no people waiting and my meal in my hand inside a minute However when I got home I found the batter to be soggy apart from once tip. Very disappointed

Lovely staff good food worth waiting for. Be aware of the time you visit as it can get real busy and you have to wait outside the shop. Not ideal in the rain.

Have been here on numerous occasions - a good traditional chip shop - service and food always of a good standard

I stopped using here over 5 years ago after several times phoning in an order, being told it would be ready for a time then arriving to pick it up only to find they had not even started to cook it. However we went up here the other day and were pleasantly surprised at the service and the quality of the food. Perhaps it has changed hands or new staff with better customer awareness and skills are there now. Anyway, it was good enough that we have decided to no longer use the town centre facility and to switch back to here. Let's see if they can keep up the good work

Very good and a lovely taste to eat

Considered by the local residents to be the 'best' chipper, the place is always busy and is highly recommended. Orders cooked while you wait and served by cheerful staff. Fresh fish landed at the fish market and a good scoop of chips.

very bad fish and chips. they were so oily that the oil was dripping from the fish while eating. I went here based on reviews but this was a bad experience. the fries had black ashes as they used the same oil for frying too much. I am still sick.. so I really do not recommend this.

We came here based on the trip advisor reviews and were extremely dissapointed. Both the fish and the chips were soaked in oil and had some tiny black dust on, maybe the oil was used too many times for frying. Overall, a very bad experience!

Would usually sing the praises of the shop and its staff, passed experience has always been extremely positive. However, today the experience fell below par due to one staff members attitude while serving a family member. Service with a smile and good manners cost nothing.

There are other brand names for fish and chips in town but Clerkhill Fish bar is certainly the best of them all. The fish freshly cooked is amazing. The chips are spot on You just need to go up at the back of 5 every night and see the queue that speaks for itself

We go here quite regularly gor a portion of take away chips. We take them home, to have either alongside a main course or as the main course, with chips cheese and gravy. They do large portions, well priced. High quality fish and chips what more could you ask for!

Visited this place for the first time with my family for a treat and was shocked ..My daughter and I went in and joined the que.The woman took our order while in a conversation with another customer which she obviously knew .She and another member of staff were more concerned on talking to customers they knew rather than getting customers served ..The food was ok but nothing special to be honest. Lots of grease .The staff should pay more attention to doing there job than talking while serving others .We wont visit again if back in peterhead. SORRY

I went b3cause of the TA reviews and we were not disappointed. The wait was only about 10 minutes, but for cooked to order well worth it. Portions were quite large but none was wasted. Delicious!

Staying at the Harbour Heights hotel and did not fancy the normal generic chain pub food you can eat anywhere in the country.

All the usual chip shop offers but I would say the best fish and chips in Peter head (and there is a few). Opens at 4.30pm, especially on a Friday or Saturday night suppertime, be prepared for a little wait, there will be a queue, good sign, fresh fish straight from the fish market (a stone's throw away) cooked as you wait to perfection in a delicious batter ....... go on, join the queue, behind me!

Probably the best in the area for fresh fish and to die for chips. Always hot and freshly made. Staff are very helpful and prices are reasonable. A large varied selection of food is available. Beware, you may have to queue a while, but its worth the wait.

Nothing like a fish supper as a treat heading towards the end of the working week. It is so popular that for the most part everything is fresh there and then. Prepare for a small wait if you are going at tea time. All the other usual products available as well - white pudding, chicken, Mocherla shop etc., etc.
