Took forever yo get a couple of bags of chips

very bad customer service and always hair in the food every time be bite into it and way too much batter on the fish and under cooked.

I think ive ordered everything at this point, loved it all

Lovely staff who served me. Fish really good but batter is not crispy enough- enjoyable. Chips really good and mixed meat was also excellent. Curry sauce as expected delicious. Would certainly go back again.

The food is okay but it's overpriced. As well as the owner who does the home deliverys, only one other member of staff. It can be a long wait.

Best masala fish I ever had! One of my favourite places.. Very friendly staff. I would recommend this to everyone who doesn’t like to have greasy chips then this place for you. They make fresh nan which is good and feel very light.

Cod was full of dry rice powder, when I took back in to the shop the owner blamed his wife, no refund given. Went here prior to this and Fried chicken was still frozen inside. Avoid.

The fish and chip shop has served the cinema across the rd and the kings Highway pub that tas long gone. It's been some time since we used it till Easter. I have to say food got 5 service was slowish but have know worse in chip shops. As the price of everything is on the rise the classic fish chip shop not bad. Give it a go before another chip shop goes.

Great chippy fantastic portions sizes not like other chippys in the area (kent road)

I came in Wednesday about 6pm and ordered large fish and chips. Make sure you ask for cod as after a whisper between staff I got home and my fish was disgusting. Thick batter that was uncooked inside. The fish tasted awful and wasn't cod. Even little old ladies can leave reviews on the Internet I've given a 2 star instead of 1 star because my husband sometimes gets our food from here and its nice. But they obviously didn't recognise me

Never had such undercooked food in my life. Tasteless undercooked chips and the cod was so undercooked it was wet. Vile never again

My moms used these for over 4 years!! They am brilliant they are lovely people, their food is just the best!! You should be proud of your business you’re amazing! Never one bad mean never once

Found out they put extra money on food when delivered compaired to collecting it yourself plus lady was rude claims to only speak bit of english but can speak it when shes rude not good!!

Mushey peas look dyed bright green & some where hard? Chips were average and could have been cooked longer The mini fish looked like a sausage... had to peel off the thick under cooked batter to reveal a small piece(s) of cod. Worst fish and chips ever. 0/10

Lovely family own this place, but the food is hit and miss. Some day you will get an amazing portion of chips other days they taste old, hard and bad oil flavours. Fish is always soggy once we get it home 3 mins away. Pies are over heated often also. Chicken meat is a no no!!!

I am new to the area and like (love) my chips. I can say with all honesty the chips at The Classic Fryer are the best I have ever had. The owners are very friendly and they cook the chips fresh and to perfection, so there is no chance of a bad batch. Would highly recommend this place to anybody.

Had a food delivery on 2 occasions. Lovely fish and chips and generous portions. Have told family and friends to try them. Will definitely be ordering again.

Don’t bother! So slow! Placed my order and paid, told to wait in the car it will be 10mins, still waiting 20mins later whilst watching people leaving with their chips who went in after me! Gave up Waiting after 30mins and got my money back!

Very inconsistent food from here, first visit it was nice meal but the 2nd time the food was far from the best but just okay. If you ask for more vinegar the lady gets moody. These places should let you do that yourself.

We always have fish and chips from the Classic Fryer on a Friday night. The cod is consistently tasty and the batter very crispy. The food is always cooked fresh. Best chippy around and the owners are lovely. 😋😋

We only visited as it was Boxing Day and our usually chippy was closed. My wife didn't realise but said 'these chips are really nice'! Good food and they open long hours as well. Give it a go - there is a lot of local competition.

Good food combined with friendly staff. Good size portions of chips for your money. They also do deliveries which is a first for this chip shop as I've used this chippy for 20 years and when the new owners took over they introduced a delivery service.

Always go to the Classic Fryer for fish and chips as they are cooked from fresh so there are none of those left over chips that have been kept warm for ever. Friendly owners who always talk to you not like other chip shops. 10 out of 10

Good sized menu and not too expensive. Can ring and order ahead. Most of the food is cooked fresh so there can be a bit of a wait. And sadly they don't have card facilities so cash only

The experience was very cheap with £1.50 being the price of a regular chips portion. It also has the classic taste with a wide menu to offer.

Great food and fish is usually freshly cooked. Your order is prepared how you ask for it and it is consistently good. Customer services is great and staff friendly. Best chip shop in the area.
