Clandeboye Lodge Hotel in North Down

This was an amazing place to stay! It was clean, comfortable, and friendly, the location was idyllic, and everything was so welcoming - but I so appreciated their commitment to environmentally-friendly practices that really mean something (vs greenwashing to give the appearance of concern). And the nighttime quiet policy meant we could sleep so peacefully without loud guests waking us up. It was the perfect way to begin our holiday.

Very good food, restaurant atmosphere was very good. The bar lounge was also very good.. Excellent room on the top floor.

Had a wonderful family birthday celebration here. The food was amazing and the service outstanding. Very attentive and every guest enjoyed their evening. Loved the small details of the staff knowing my guests names and addressing them with their meals. Made it so personal. Swift service but not rushed. The quality and taste of the food was exceptional ! Would absolutely recommend for functions or even small gatherings and Dinners.

I had a pleasure of staying at Clandeboye for two nights, for my sisters wedding. Delicious food. Friendly service. Beautiful wedding location, inside and outside. Comfortable beds. Definitely worth recommending.

A family wedding at Halloween made very special by the excellent staff, food and setting of this beautiful County Down location. The food served at my Son’s wedding was outstanding, and on a par with a good restaurant.

Excellent venue for events with plenty of parking space. The interior was clean and well decorated. The overall service including food was outstanding.

Personally, I don't think it's worth the money.

We had our wedding here in July 20th and could not recommend it more. We booked our wedding with Kirsty in 2019 and from then everything was just perfect. We didn't view any other venues as nothing compared to the romantic, cosy setting of the Clandeboye. It felt so detached from the rest of the world, yet easily located off Bangor. Every member of staff we spoke with was fantastic, from the wedding team, hotel staff, restaurant staff to cleaning team. Everyone was extremely polite and personable. As an anxious bride, I was constantly sending questions via email and these were always answered quickly and with lots of reassurance and detail. I couldnt believe the quality of care we received, despite the Clandeboye having a wedding almost every day throughout the summer months. On the day, all our guests were so amazed by the setting and loved the opportunity to visit somewhere different. I feel having the wedding building separate from the hotel made our wedding feel so much cosier as we didn't have to worry about other members of the public watching. The blackwood suite is just perfect for weddings, it is so romantic and moody. Perfect size for a smaller wedding. The outdoor drinks reception really made our day, with the fire pit and music from Rachel Toman, it was a complete vibe! Everyone loved this, and it allowed out little guests to run around and play games. The food was spectacular. From canapes, to main meal to buffet, I couldn't fault it. The reception room was decorated perfectly and transformed for dancing so smoothly. Having the bar, dance floor, tables, balcony and toilets all so close meant there was never a dull moment! We want to sincerely thank the whole team at the clandeboye, we had the most fantastic day and that is down to the venue being just perfect. Aine & Jason x

What an exceptional Lodge and it’s all about the staff’s friendliness and can do attitude. The food was an absolute feast. Should we be around Belfast we will definitely be back at the Lodge. THE TRAVELING HAT

Immersed in the greenery and friendliness of the lands of Northern Ireland. 15mins driving from the centre, an alternative to enjoy the country side instead of downtown if you like so. Tried food, very good

Wonderful warm welcome, the staff are an absolute credit! We arrived early coming straight from the airport and our room was ready early which allowed us to freshen up - it's the little things that mean a lot! Afternoon tea..their scones are absolutely the best I've had, totally freshly made & warm.

What a fantastic place to stay and eat. Spent the weekend and loved every second. The location is great the ambience is beautiful the food is amazing and the service was amongst the best we've ever had. Will definitely be back again

Staff very friendly and felt like home

We recently got married here and could not fault it at all! The team behind the weddings are incredible with such quick replies and knowledge on how to help your day run smoothly, they are just so helpful. The food and staff on the day were both incredible, all of our guests mentioned how great it was. The hotel was so clean and stylish and worked so well for our guests to stay in. I would highly recommend visiting The Clandeboye for both weddings & an amazing meal out. Thank you all for making our day so special!
